Die Begrüßung durch den Chef war ein ungläubiges „haben Sie unsere Bestätigung dabei“ und ein „dass wir nur Barzahlung akzeptieren, haben Sie gelesen“ Grundlage für k eine Stammkunden Beziehung. Das Essen war in Ordnung, kam aber fast „in Echtzeit“, musste offensichtlich noch nicht einmal aufgewärmt werden das überraschte uns dann erneut negativ . Der freundliche junge Kellner fragte zum Schluss die Standardthemen ab noch ein Espresso, Schnaps.. war für uns in Ordnung, aber wir bestellten nur noch die Rechnung. Und dann kam der Höhepunkt des Abends: während wir zahlten, fragte uns der Chef erneut, ob wir Espresso, Haselnusslikör oder Willi haben wollen. Klingt das nur für mich als „aufs Haus“? Wir akzeptierten, tranken auf das Wohl des Chefs und brachen auf. An der Tür fing uns der Chef ab und meinte, dass der Schnaps noch offen sei! Hallo?! Meinem Widerspruch gab er schnell nach, doch wie sehen Sie das? 19 Jahre hält sich der Betreiber angabegemäss, wahrscheinlich haben wir einen schlechten Abend erwischt. Seltsam"

Nothing wow about this place. Typical German restaurant. Food was good and well priced. Good place for a meal after a long day visiting castles. Most importantly kids enjoyed their meal.

The food at this place was absolutely wonderful- local, fresh, and extremely good. The day we went was rainy so we did not get to enjoy the outdoor seating. The inside has all-wood walls with orchids in the windows. The service was excellent. View menu

Shortly after arriving to the restaurant without a reservation and being seated without a problem, we watched an Asian family be prevented from sitting down and told to leave as the waitress explained they were only taking reservations that evening--even though there were numerous empty...More

we had lunch here on holiday. we sat outside in the sun and for themselves there are beautiful places outside. the restaurant is unfortunately only located directly on a busy starße. on duration the street noise a little. eating is very good. we ordered typical Bavarian dishes, all very well. the meat was tender and juicy and also the supplements were fresh and tasty. it is worth going to all the cases there.

Avoid at any rate! A typical example for the abuse of location. They'd just opened for the day and seemed a bit annoyed at customers ..... hence the Service was desinterested and rude. The only thing edible were the fries. Both schnitzels were tough and the one was doused in a prefab instant gravy with over cooked spaetzle. We started out for dinner with a couple of other choices in mind based on reviews on Tripadvisor. I am not sure if it was because it was Sunday but my first 2 choices appeared to be closed. Two others were putting people on a...wait. So we just picked Zum Franziskaner based on their menu items and availability of a table. We were not disappointed. Our server was not the friendliest but the food was delicious. We had the sausage sauerkraut, potato soup salad and pork with spaetzle. A nice evening sitting outside in Fussen.

We here for a taste of traditional German cuisine and it was phenomenal! The goulash is amazing, their homemade salad dressing was incredible, and the wursts, pork knuckle, sauerkraut, and potato dumpling were out of this world! The staff were all kind and spoke English,...but also helped us with improving our conversational German skills as well, which was incredibly appreciated. The strüdel with vanillasauce was the best way we could have ended the meal. Service was great and we would recommend this to anyone staying in or traveling through Füssen as a must!
