"I was surprised that this was listed as a budget restaurant because the meals are mostly still at least 10€/plate. However, they’re huge, so they’re a good value for the money. There’s a wide array of schnitzels with different types of sauces. The menu has...various other meats too. What it lacks is much of a vegetarian entree unless there happens to be a seasonal specialty like asparagus. Given how good most German restaurants have gotten about vegetarianism, it surprises me that they don’t offer much more than sides. There have been multiple times my husband and I have skipped this restaurant because there’s nothing for him. The restaurant is always busy, so it can be hard to get in without a reservation. They would be better off actually removing some tables because they’re packed so tightly that some are often unusual. Though the inside is quaint, the right space and harried staff make the dining experience seem hectic."

Really nice food (I had the Jägerschnitzel) for a great price! Would definitely recommend for people who are on a budget!

best place in the city for real, authentic German cuisine without paying too much. I've been living in town for a few years and that's one of my favorites.

We ordered a schnitzel which arrived super fast and was super nice. However it came with the wrong side dish. Then the drinks arrived more than 10 minutes later... My boyfriend's dish never arrived: when I was almost finished with my dish they asked him...to wait 20 more minutes for his dish or order something else. Waiters seemed de-organized, our table was broken and they only accept cash. We asked for the bill and still had to wait more than 15min before getting the bill.

I made my mother eat here. I'm a student who just moved to göttingen, eating was pretty good and serving was great. However, when I asked about the bill, it came to €23. I gave the hired 30 € and he didn't get my money back. he only took 30€ and went. is it obligatory to leave the tipp at this place? I could have eaten with this money for 2-3 days. that should not be how they treat costumers. tha didsache that I am foreign, who do not speak German, does not give them the right to take away my money without asking. That's not okay
