"Booked table for 7 pm., arrived at 6-45pm. Managed to order by 7pm. even though most fish options had gone - only the most expensive remained. At 8pm still not served even though later arrivals who had not booked had received their food. When questioned we were told that salads were quicker but hot food had been served to customers who sat down long after us. Disappointing that the No 1 restaurant was so unconcerned about such a situation. The staff were pleasant but the service we received is unacceptable so we left without a meal even though we had been cycling all day. Earlier in the afternoon we had been served cake and coffee and it was very good."

I had a matjes housewives, it is a kind of cold fish with hot kartoffels and a delicious sauce. they say a typical plate here in German/Aurich. if they want to try different and new things, go for it! the place is very beautiful. View menu

We sat on the patio at dusk. This was the day of our arrival so this was the perfect relaxing setting to enjoy our meal and Braun beer which was the best beer we had during our two week holiday. Service was efficient yet casual and very friendly and helpful. The food was as good as any we've had on our many trips to Germany.

Restaurant beer garden Zur Börse dates from 1901 and is located in the pedestrian area of Aurich centre. We reserved by phone and found the place fully booked on a Friday evening, a good sign. The old-style furnished and decorated restaurant offers classical German...and Frisian dishes. Service is quick and adequate. Beer is good and food appeared nice tasteful. We recommend Zur Börse to anyone who seeks unpretentious tasty German cuisine. View menu

The historical Inn "Zur Börse" is belonging to the small historical city-ensemble in Aurich. You reach it in a few minutes in the City-Center and you will be coddled by a fresh, delighting regional kitchen-style. In addition the Chef offers typical seasonal meals and tastes. Undepent if you have a drink only, a complete meal or a "sundowner" you always feel well and in a familiar & very friendly atmosphere. Come in and feel by yourself, how difficult it will be to leave again .......

booked table for 19 clock, arrived at 18 45 clock. managed to order 7 clock. even though most fish options remained only the most expensive. at 8 o'clock not yet served, although later arrivals that had not booked had received their food. when we were asked. we were told that salads were faster, but hot eating was served the customers who sit long after us. that the restaurant nr. 1 was so careless about such a situation. the personal was pleasant, but the service we have received is unacceptable, so we have gone without meal, even though we cycle all day. Earlier on the afternoon we had served cake and coffee and it was very good.

"we reserved a table for, but unfortunately came with the flu, so we called the day before to change the size of our group. whoever took the information on the phone did not change the reservation. Of course, the Maitre...d' was a little upset that we were just a group of three. not good for both parties. we had dinners and main courses, everything else. the appetizers were bruschetta: not well seasoned, very bland. carpaccio classico: not olive oil, but balsamico vinegar with a small hauch parmesan. very disappointing and vitello tonnato: served under seasoned and inconspicuous. our main course was: pollo al gorgonzola: the three small pieces of chicken were extremely dry and stringy. the Gorgonzola sauce was made with a bark broth and sawn. that would have been good if my meal was something with bark, but not with huh. the pasta was not homemade. scaloppina al gorgonzola: the three small pork fillets were very dry. the Gorgonzola sauce was the same sauce served with the huh. No! the pasta was the same as the chicken dish, right out of the package. rumpsteak: order medium, came medium rare and was served late. we had to ask a waiter for the order and how he came with the court, said that our were not ready to steal those who waited to be served on another table. No one asked us how we liked our meals. After our tellers were removed, no one asked us if we wanted a coffee or a desert. if they go to dinner, they want to be able to eat in a wise cooked way that they cannot live at home. I have made all the dishes we had in this restaurant one or another time, and they were far better than what we were serving. Additionally, this restaurant is much too expensive for what it offers."
