Long sought and finally found for the tour in the museum. Well maintained outdoor facilities with attentive and friendly staff. Tables and chairs thoroughly disinfected after use.

All were super beautiful and with the pea soup, side salad, delicious bread and apple strudel I even got vegan food. On request the kitchen asked if the dishes are vegan. It was very delicious.

In June I organized a trip to the LVR Open Air Museum Kommern. At noon we returned to the Gast Hof to Post. In advance, I had discussed lunch for 35 people with the host. All were hosted with delicious and rich Rhenish food in historical ambience and were very satisfied. View menu

whether for a snack on the afternoon or for a short relaxing (at coffee and cake) after the sightseeing tour in the open-air museum, which is recommended here. together with our dogs we spent a nice time here in the group. the homemade stews or bratkartoffels are very tasty. the service is friendly, competent and also fulfills special wishes.

The inn is located in the Freilichtmuseum Kommern (in the courtyard of Oberbreisig). In the early afternoon very busy despite winter time, but thanks to many small rooms you will find a place. We had cakes with cream, probably from the spray can. The cake was okay, the coffee was a little weak. Amazing how friendly the service staff acted despite the numerous guests.

the gasthof in the open-air museum can be found in the farm from oberbreisig in the farm westerwald. the menu offers typical specialties from eifel, westerwald, mountainous land and Lower Rhine. our group of 26 people had reserved and ordered the food. we were served quickly and quickly, the Rhenish pork roast from the quirk in fine sauce with apples, corinths, swashing, bratkartoffels and small salat and the tasty bark roar “Housewives Art” with stomp potatoes and speck beans tasted very well. there are small foods and very good beer.

The menu offers both mega tasty, simple home cooking, as well as finished shopping. It is easy to choose the delicious delicacies. We are here once a year and it was always good. Heaven and Aegean with potatoes, onions and apple notes, sour wort with witch are highly recommended. The potato salad tastes like the bucket, but it wasn't homemade. For heaven and ae, potato salad with bockwurst, juice choir, cola, beer, milk coffee and two pieces of cake, we paid 31 euros, which we felt quite cheap. The service was organized and friendly, despite the great urge in beautiful weather.

We stayed in March 2019 at the restaurant “to Post” at the open-air museum in Kommern. The choice of dishes was very small no fries, noodles for children to any food roast potatoes or bread)... we were very disappointed by the food : sauce from the bag with canned mushrooms, carvings greasy, soaked from the thawing and passed through with tasty cartilaged meat. The salad dressing was only a salad set with herb salad, of course from the plastic bottle) with a white finish sauce. The “fine” roasted potatoes were greasy and partly not roasted.
