"A typical and traditional German pub with big wooden tables and chairs and an old fashioned, spartan decor and style. Good range of local beers to sample with "proper" food, home-cooked style and portion sizes for hungry guys, like me. I chose a "Weiner Schnitzel with Roasted Potatoes and Mixed Salad". Boy....was it great ...... a huge (covered the entire plate) Weiner Schnitzel in breadcrumbs with a generous helping of golden-brown roasted potatoes and a hearty and crunchy mixed salad on the side. I was determined to eat all but, in the end, had to leave a few potatoes. one of the best-presented and tastiest schnitzel I've had. With beer and coffee, bill was less than Euros 17. Place was half full, maybe more, with an mixed and eclectic group of customers. Superbly efficient and friendly service by the waiter. A hidden gem in Ratinger Strasse at the north of the old town, which many visitors will miss."
