"Disgusting meal. Went for the Valentines menu. Had to wait over half an hour to be told there was no roast potatoes . So went for chips. Waited another 15 minutes until it finally arrived. What a disappointment!!!. The pastry was soaked in gravy and therefore was like wet cardboard and the steak was tough to cut. Sent it back and waited again for just a steak but in the meantime my husband had finished his. So the second steak came but it was well done and I had asked for it to be medium to well done and the chips looked like they had been sitting in the kitchen for ages. Vile meal . I complained and they took my meal off the bill. I spoke to the manager and she said the cook was unaware that the roast potatoes were not prepared by the day befores cook. As a manager surely that's her job to make sure that everything is prepared, especially as it's Valentines day. Won't be going back there in a hurry."

"I recently dined at Aroma with some Buisness clients and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. The first thing that struck me was the temperature of the buffet. Every dish, from the supposed hot entrees to the side dishes, was lukewarm at best. The duck, a dish that should be served piping hot, was barely above room temperature. The supposed hot soups were tepid, making them utterly unappetizing. Not only was the food cold, but it also lacked variety. For the exorbitant price they charge, I expected a vast selection of dishes to choose from. Instead, I was met with a meager assortment of uninspired options. The salad bar was particularly disappointing, with a few wilted greens and unremarkable dressings. The main courses were limited to a few poorly prepared dishes that left much to be desired in terms of both taste and presentation. Moreover, the presence of MSG in many of the dishes was overwhelming. Shortly after eating, I began to feel unwell. I experienced a headache and an uncomfortable sense of bloating, which I can only attribute to the excessive use of MSG. In today 's culinary world, where many establishments are moving towards healthier, MSG-free options, this reliance on artificial flavor enhancers is both outdated and concerning. Given the high prices, I expected a gourmet experience but was instead treated to subpar food that left me feeling ill. I would advise anyone considering dining at aroma to think twice. There are far better dining options available that offer both quality and value for money. Save your time and your stomach, and choose a different restaurant."

"Cannot believe how far this restaurant chain has fallen. We booked online for my daughters birthday. Service was so so, our first waitress (Sophie) was pleasant but when we asked for extra napkins or wipes never returned. The menu now is very limiting. Our meal didn't start well when 4 out of 5 received our starters but they forgot my son's. The main's came out as soon as starter plates were cleared and they even forgot my daughter's fries with her main. The food was below average, old when it arrived at the table, pasteurised ribs, over cooked corn on the cob, cold fries, pasteurised chicken fajitas were nasty, not as we remembered. Cocktails were alright, although the Mojito's were OK not the best. Shame the British public thinks this is acceptable! Was not cheap either £240 for 5 of us."

"The food I got as take away was overall…TERRIBLE. The wings was definitely the worst. Completely bland and was missing the rest of the chicken wings. The pad Thai prawn was basic, but worse was the prawns which was only 4 : Calamari was okay, but definitely not better than any I have ever had. Honestly, I don’t think any of the 8 dishes we ordered was better than any Thai I have had and it’s my first and would be the last time trying Thai from this place."

"Visited last Saturday with Friend, Looked very inviting from the front of shop. We ordered Cheese Sandwich cup of Tea, Bacon Sandwich coffee was asked if I wanted Sauce. We politely requested Hot drinks be served with meal. Hence didnt happen. Even worse my friends Cheese was cut so thick, No Cup of Tea arrived at all. Was charged £9.50 for Bacon Sandwich with few broken crisps on the side??? The pot of sauce was enough to decorate 6 sandwiches, although tasted tangy Cheap. My friend was charged £8.10 for a Cheese Sandwich that looked like a 2yr old had cut the Cheese! She returned to young ladies, explained service was not acceptable, Some of the girls were so rude for want of better word down right Ignorant. Even worse tried to give her refund for Cup of tea price Only! Will not return again, as when i brought it to the ladies attention on the till, she gave an excuse that they had been very busy. She actually said come back during the week its run by Adult people, the service is good. Confirms my thoughts these girls sadly have little or No training. Not opposed to paying decent price for food but this was a Total Rip Off! Would most definitely Not recommend at all. I wouldnt have even given 1 star but in order to leave review you have to at least leave 1."

"we approached the writing and asked for a table of 6 to say: "Don't worry about anything until 8 o'clock". that was around 6.05 clock, the restaurant was half empty ... so we went online for 6.15 clock with open re-entered ... told them we had a reservation, observed “some heated words”. between the staff and we were taken to a perfectly empty table for 6. just 50 minutes waiting for our food. that said our server was friendly and apologetic. eating was ok, 2 pizzas, 3 calzones and a sirloin steak, that was definitiw rump, as it was to think and took hard to sirloin! to the happiness we have a taste card so that the meal with a softdrink cost only £10 per head, and we were limited due to a cinema booking for time. lection learned book before entering, and use it taste card, not sure that I would have paid the bill in full amount, we had not discounted!"

"Absolutely disgraceful that I paid on their app inside the restaurant. The payment was taken the order did not go through! I showed them proof that it has been taken from my bank and they insisted if I wanted a pizza I had to pay again and then take it up with their head office. Sitting there with three children waiting for pizza and being told that because they have experienced a problem with their ordering I had to pay again. Like an idiot I did as I did not want to cause a scene make the children wait any longer. Then took me a further four weeks and over 10 phone calls to their customer service to get my refund on a pizza that I didn’t have."

"I went to Sprinkles Gelato in Basildon with my daughter for a treat. Our server was called Katie and she was really helpful and polite throughout, even when I had a problem ordering online and she had to use the till for me, it was problem for her. The food arrived quickly, within probably 10-15minutes of ordering as it was quiet, and it tasted delicious. We really like going Sprinkes as it’s the best ice cream dessert shop around and the desserts are always tasty so we go regularly."

"the food was nice and the staff was very friendly and nothing was too much annoyed. they had an incident in the bar area with a couple that had drunk too much and were very rude and loud. the manager and the personal diffused the situation and they went and the manager and the waitress came separated and apologised."

"Once upon a time Frankie and bennies was a nice chilled American Italian diner with a great ambience, dim lighting and a bit of dean martin playing in the back ground. A lot of time has passed…. This latest visit was very disappointing. Venue is now far too bright, it’s like being in a club at kick out time when they turn all the lights up to remind you to leave, the music was some pop nonsense the whole character has been washed away as they try to compete with TGI which they’re not achieving. Front of house chap seemed very miserable. Potato skins were not potato skins they were small jacket potatoes cut in half over full of potato, bland and heavy, the main course chicken and halloumi burger and a lasagne were ok, but nothing I couldn’t knock up at home cheaply. Service was slow but friendly the staff seemed to be doing everything, we watched the same member of staff serving at the bar, rush in around changing bins, taking orders and fetching food. Won’t be going back, no identity and bland food with slow service. Waitresses were nice tho, that’s the only positive I could find."

"Went here today, just me a my daughter. I cant actually fault this place. This is the first time we've been here in my opinion its really, really good. They have thought of everything for the young ones in regards to entertain them. Plenty of friendly animals, play area's(inside out), activities, animal talks/presentions, tractor rides. The list goes on. The staff are really friendly, even the youngsters, i say that because sometimes in my exsprience young staff in these places its not always the case but here is very much not so. Also lots of toilets around which is very helpful when you have a little one with you lots of wash stations for after feeding/petting the animals. After paying £30 for the two of us i did think it was a bit expensive for a farm, however having been there today it is worth every penny. We arived at 10am left 3.30pm, we could've proberbly stayed longer, i would most certainly pay that again WILL be coming back. Fantastic day out for all the family no matter what age."

"Floor filthy, dirty tables. Food was really tasteless poor. Went a few months ago originally posted a review on facebook for that visit. After looking at another review on tripadvisor (Dream...not anymore) it is obvious it hasn't improved, so have re-posted review on...here. Really sad...has gone from being the best cafe in the area to the worst inside six months! Manager didn't take my complaint about the food well either as the bill was he muttered to just give him I shouldn't have, but just paid haven't been back since never will."

"Very disappointed with the size of the meals.£11.99 for two is attractive but the portions are more or less child sizes.the side order of chips was very mean for the price paid.the cutlery was dirty yet again.prices are rising and portions are becoming smaller.one of our two meals was supplied wrong to order.upon leaving the stench still coming from the toilets (as last visit in dec) of urine and ammonia is enough to make you gag.very unpleasant especially after a meal. This is a shame as this is a nice pub,the food is tasty and the staff are pleasant.food and drink overpriced and the Victorian toilets need attention."

Think there staff need a training session to count up to 9 because ordering 9 nuggets and receiving 7 is a bit dumb dumb How ridiculous a simple order once again made wrong. It's not just the 1st time where do they get the staff from my 8 year old will count 9 in 3 other languages. What a ridiculous team of people you have running that restaurant. The people who actually care about their job are over shadowed by the amount of idiots you have"

"Ordered a delivery tonight, as a student nurse i have just finished a 13 hour shift and was looking forward to a takeaway. Food ordered at 7.15 and delivered 40 minutes later cold and incorrect. I called the store who instead of delivering a new pizza (like most chains would) decided to deliver 'just ' the toppings...this was a further 20 minutes later...at which point the pizza was cold!! Gave the pizza back to the delivery driving stating i was not eating that- and wanted a refund....rang the store...they refused a refund! i have contacted their customer services....manager 'Sid ' as he calls himself is an absolute joke! Don 't order from here, food, staff and management are awful."

"My wife and I had a Quick lunch at Ned's Noodles, we both had sweet and sour chicken Noodles,which was really nice.The only complaint I have is that when we went to sit down after placing our order. When a foreign lady who I think...was Eastern European began to shout at us telling us that we could not sit where we was as she and her children who all appeared to be of secondary school age were sitting there. I said no one was sitting here when we sat down,She started yelling at us and my wife asked me not to argue with her over a seat. We then moved away I watched and noticed the group of people had not purchased any food from Ned's Noodles at all. But of the group had Taco Bel which was next door and had Mc Donalds and the had subway. she then left the young girl's at Ned's Noodles with about full bags of shopping while she went off shopping again and came back about minutes later eating a subway meal and had another two filled shopping bags with her. She sat down with the young girls and once again had a go at another ladies who tried to sit near them. I then said to the woman you have dumped these young girls here with all your shopping and you have not purchased one item of food from Ned's Noodle's then you saunter up as if you own the place with more shopping and a subway meal, then have the cheek to shout at these two ladie's because they sat near you and your shopping this is Ned's Noodles and the seating is for the people who are paying and eating their food purchased here.You have no right to be rude and abusive to people when you have not spent a penny at this place,you are just taking liberties, she started to scream at me in another language I told her to shut up and go away.But none of the staff appeared to bothered as to what this woman was doing, I think a sign should be put up that only patrons who have purchased Ned's food may use the seating area available. Unfortunately I would think twice before going to Ned's again."

"First of all, as I went in I went to the toilet, which were disgusting, they need cleaning! Secondly after ordering my food and waiting nearly 10 minutes for some so called ‘fast food’ in that time I saw 2 or 3 employees roll their eyes at customers chuck food into bags/tray and then a feeble attempt to call out peoples order, I could barely hear and I was right in front of the counterI finally get my food and drive home, I eat my food... which is cooked just as much as it needs to be before it’s bad. The chicken is tough, just chucked in a bun.Worst KFC around!"
