"Oh My God! I have just heard about 'The Woodford Words ', a pathetic attempt at some kind of customer centric mantra I assume? A warm welcome every time Nothing is too much trouble . When people visit, they get what they want without any fuss The list of stomach churning tosh goes on.....but just look at the poor reviews. Went here the other day for coffees and was told we couldn 't sit by the lake unless we were eating. We could only sit up by 'the shed ' if we only wanted drinks! Went here again today after the 4 mile walk that starts at Woodford Lodge and asked for coffees. This time a girl told us to come back later as they wanted to clear the food orders first?! 'The shed ' was closed therefore no drinks available there, so that 's why we came the few feet to the lodge and after all we were paying customers whether we were eating or not. There are no signs to say 'food only '. As we left I heard the same girl ask a couple who were sitting down if they would.like any drinks. I asked her why she had offered them drinks, but not us. They are eating she said. They were only looking at the menu, that 's all. I asked her again for drinks and she simply said she couldn 't as it 's management rules . I have never heard such rubbish and welcome a 'management ' response to confirm that they discriminate between drinkers and eaters at will. Who knows, we may well have ordered some food too?"

"Table booked for a Monday lunchtime and two friends and I were looking forward to a nice lunch. We recieved a warm welcome from the waitress and were shown to our table. We were surprised to see that only abou tables were in use...as its usually busy. We ordered our drinks and were told that there were several items on the menu that weren't available so we gave our orders and settled down for a good natter! After minutes, nothing had arrived and no one had been over to tell us what was going on. Eventually after minutes of waiting, we asked one of the waitresses where our food was and she went off to find out. She came back to tell us that it would be with us shortly which turned out to be another minutes later! The food was OK but the portions were a bit on the small side given the prices we were paying. As we had waited so long, we didn't have time for desserts or coffee asnd when paying the bill, we asked why the long delay and were told there was a problem in the kitchen There was a sort of mumbled apology but no offer to knock off a bit on the bill! If they have problems in the kitchen which would result in a delay, I would have thought that this would have been communicated to the customer, and one has to wonder, if there were problems with so few customers in, what would happen if the place was busy? There are many pubs and restaurants in this area and they really need to provide some customer service training for their staff if they wish to attract customers and keep them happy. Suffice to say, we won't be going back!"

"A group of us came to sample the delights of Cinnamon. It's a perfectly fine curry dining experience. The decor is quite unique in that it has a lovely forest y style decor unlike anywhere else in the area. It's enchanting. However it's also slightly cramped, which is just a result of the premises but Cinnamon use what they have to the best of their ability. However our food was quite a long time in coming and, whilst that's partially down to a bigger group, there were a few grumbles around the table. When the food came, the general feeling was the food ranged from pretty good to okay. Not a single dish was considered bad or poor, but nor did anybody rave this was the best they've ever had. One of our group had a Madras which was the hottest he'd ever had though! (Not a complaint but a total good thing So it's fair to say that our experience at Cinnamon was they did absolutely nothing bad but nobody was wowed on this occasion either. It's definitely a good place and if you're unsure of a place to get a good curry, this will definitely serve you. I'd recommend to eat in because the decor is so unique and alluring, but you're definitely guaranteed solid quality here. Price wise, it's definitely competitive to the other curry places in Keynsham the average cost most of us spent was about £20 on food. However, we mostly felt some (not all! drinks were quite expensive (I was told it was neigh on £9 for two cokes? . That said, I think the overall cost for a filling meal is one of the cheapest in the area, and the portion size is enough to fill but not too much so it can't be finished, which is perfect."
