"We used to go to Whittaker's every weekend when visiting Brentwood, and used to recommend it ,it was always expensive, but it was good food and good service, but for the last few months it is going down hill fast! As soon as you go in now ,and...eventually noticed,we are told it will be ,or minutes wait for food,at this point many customers leave. This has happened every time we visit,so we ordered coffee, when we would have ordered food for four people, well we waited, and waited, for a coffee ,after twenty minutes I went up to the kitchen, and was told it's coming, where from Brazil!!!!!! And then nothing! Caught a waitresses eye and asked again, then we got it,and then told if we were not eating could we be quicker as there were people waiting!!!!! Anyone sitting down was told it was a long wait,so most left! That's money walking out the door! And they didn't seem to care! We discovered the reason for this terrible service,a buy came in with a massive deliveroo bag and left after ten minutes with a massive bag of food, they are now doing delivery and making the deliveroo a priority !!!!! They might think they are making a good living out of this, but the people actually there are money too! And paying extra for the privelidge of eating in. It cost more to eat i than take out! And the last time we were there, they lost our custom,so that was four,we saw another three leave,a other group of four,a couple, and that's customers ,and the as thing was no one from Whittaker's asked the people why they were going,or attempt to sort the problem out. We were sitting by the door and as it opened other customers were calling out don't bother again no staff were Interested. This cafe is packed in , more and more tables, with no room to get up or down from your table without backing Into other people, and nearly sitting on their laps. Not going back ,now they are doing deliveroo, actual customers who want to eat,are getting a very poor service. They have lost our custom for good,"

"To be honest, I must begin by saying how impressed I was with the quality of the vegetarian chilli freak pizza we ordered. it was probably perfect with a delicious crust and tantalizing good amounts of seasoned and heat made – it's just a shame with it. what came before him. during a period of control, in which hygiene measures should be paramount in the food industry and in the takeaway kitchen, we were very disappointed that the workers in the work should not keep through these guidelines, do not wear masks, bart nets, gloves and, terrible to deal with meat without washing their hands before spreading vegetarian toppings. this is very, very bad and something that I will write to papa John’s directly, because (as depicted) zero attention or caresss seems given to their customers behind the scenes. not even wearing disposable gloves or masks with so widespread, I find deeply disturbing. it is therefore a challenge for me to forgive John’s in brentwood all more than two stars. we also have to address the cost of food on their menu. for only a large pizza, they can pay almost gbp that is exorbitant! there is a clear lack of friendly customer service and I think waiting times can be quite long when the place is busy. so, everything in all, while the pizza might have been deletable and makes formidable opposition in comparison to a pizza hat order, behind the scenes there is really much work seemingly to do. it seems pretty dirty."

"While waiting for our food, I noticed that the bill was higher than expected. Upon checking the receipt, I saw that the prices were much higher than what was advertised on the board. Additionally, we had to order larger portions as the small portions were not available, but they did not honor the price of the small portions. I was also charged extra for being gluten-free, which was not mentioned when ordering or on the board. When I politely inquired about this discrepancy to a young lady, she rudely mentioned it was a service charge and implied that I should have known since I had been there before. The owner, who was her father, also came over and spoke to me in a disrespectful manner, telling me to leave if I didn’t like it. When I tried to explain that I was just questioning the bill, he became agitated and dismissive. After a tense interaction, I decided to speak with another staff member and expressed my dissatisfaction with the way I was treated. I was met with even more rudeness, as they offered me a refund and asked me to leave. The lack of customer service and appalling attitude of the staff made me realize that they did not value my patronage. The way I was spoken to was completely unacceptable. I was so disappointed that I had traveled 20 minutes to return to this place. I promptly removed any previous positive reviews I had left and wrote this review to share my negative experience. I decided to try another restaurant, Chris’ fish chicken and ribs on Ongar road, and had a fantastic experience. The staff there were polite and accommodating, with no extra charge for gluten-free options. I was pleased to give my money to a place that truly values their customers."

"different gravy! brentwood is not shy of options when it comes to order a frying dinner. However, if they ask several people where they recommend, and the spread eagle is a regular 'top 3' suggestion, then they know that it must be something special. it has been on my radar for some time, but this last week came the moment where I could see if it was as good as the locals suggest. here I will fight for the right variety to meet this place. this frying dinner was simply the best I had in the last few years. it would be easy to say that it is the best thing I ever had, so I will agree to it if I am in brentwood and want to roast one. I am 110% to spread eagle! I'm not sure if this is a standard option, but we were a group of youngs who fixed the bank holiday and wanted something to tie us. we asked if we could knock something for the 3 of us, and they rusted this absolute beauty. we felt badly asked, but nothing was too much annoyed. we were treated with a monster tomahawk (pork,) honey glazed veg, truffle oil potatoes, sukkulent beef, annoying crispy and tasty filling and yorkshire pudding 's sent out from the sky. all this has been accompanied by heavy quantities of gravity. To be honest, we were absolutely blown away from this and we were more tied to the rest of the evening. after an hour or so, and after several frying dinners have appeared in the pub (unsurprising), the chef came out for some fresh air and we could not thank him enough. also top boys! this pub is a must for me. if the word-written description attached image of the roasting dinner is not enough to win it, then they trust that this little gem sits in a beautiful background of brentwood, serves cold, crunchy moretti as well as a series of other tips. the mood is warm, fun and appealing and above all. the owners are clearly all for the customer and go beyond and beyond to ensure that this pub stands on the shoulders of the largest industry Britain! come down, get a frying dinner on order. but leave one for me!"
