"This place is a little hidden gem for those looking for great tasting healthier food. Limited parking outside, so you may need park up and walk over. They offer take away and this is a busy take away restaurant. A big queue throughout while we were there. They offer a loyalty card for customers wishing to return. I know at least a dozen people who have eaten here and all of them have recommended we try the food here. We decided to eat here after a training session at the gym, with the menu being fairly clean and being able to see the macros. Very few places offer this level of breakdown. We had the burritos, with home made salsa. It's got a little kick and God it's moreish. Fresh ground coffee, that food we stayed for an extra coffee after breakfast. Price wise I'd say it is average in price"

"at the arrival was the greeting more of a interrogation so, did they book señor? we had booked and patiently waited while we float in the bar area. we were then interviewed by two other employees at different times to ask if we have booked while we were left behind. Finally we sat and placed our beverage order with the loudly transmitted male. we waited and waited while two other employees came to different times to ask if we wanted to order drinks? it does not seem that there are any organization that includes tables, among which workers. rather chaotic with the loud male screaming to younger employees, which is an unpleasant culinary experience. the restaurant was busy and extremely loud. they put families with young children and screaming babies in the midst of couples and people who hope for a nice chilled evening. there is no rim or reason to her restaurant layout that does not create any pleasant experience at all. they could use the shape of the room to create a family area and then quieter sections, but it is free for all. we sat the next table with 2 young children who cried and walk in intervals during our meal. Adds the extremely loud white noise in the restaurant and they can forget to chat with their partner through dinner. the actual eating was so disappointing. the rossini garlic bread was the only beautiful. we ordered garlic breadcrumbs that was so blanching. the tomato sauce was economical and again very bland. the sweet is also missing seriously in any flavor or taste. it doesn't matter to pay for a real Italian food, but that was certainly not that. In no authentic taste we felt extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. we haven't bothered ourselves with desserts or coffee, because we couldn't wait to get out of there. this restaurant has been in the village for many years and is very happy to be placed centrally without local competition. it does not seem to have changed its menu or it is eating experience as it seems open! it is like a trip back to the 80s with the loud intrusive Italian men who order the young waiters around and then push an oversized black pfeffer mill in your face! there is no rhymes here, as the older male staff has no charm or warmth. they look at them and should not tip them (what we did) they get a very dirty look and an elevated hand out call good evening said senoir in abrupt and louder wise that they feel extremely unpleasant. never again!"

"The restaurant is housed in a charming old building and the food was enjoyable, with particularly delightful desserts showcasing the chef's talent in that area. The staff were friendly, professional, and hardworking, making for a pleasant dining experience overall. However, our experience was marred by the manager/owner's inappropriate language and behavior towards the staff. The constant use of vulgar language, especially directed at young employees, felt like bullying and was unacceptable. If my children had been present, I would have left without paying. The manager needs to reassess his priorities and focus on his business and staff rather than his own ego. Unfortunately, this experience has led us to decide that we will not be returning to this restaurant. Overall, the £90 spent was not worth it."

"This restaurant is a traditional pub with a restaurant section. They offer a wide variety of dishes on their extensive menu, as well as a small bites menu and at least 15 specials posted on the wall. My companion and I decided to order from the main menu and selected the lasagne and a mixed grill. Although we had to wait a bit, the wait was worth it as our food arrived piping hot on warm plates and freshly cooked. The portion sizes were also very generous. Both dishes were delicious. The woman who served us managed both the bar and restaurant and worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was taken care of. She was cheerful and helpful throughout our meal. I would definitely recommend this place! XX"

"Nice country pub with good service, although it was quite. We enjoyed the food, although we only had a starter, pepper pot and cheesy chips. The pepper pot was extremely peppery and the cheesy chips were so hot they burnt the roof of my mouth, but that's my fault for not letting them cool down. I prefer them to be too hot than cold. The staff were really nice especially when we left without paying, obviously by mistake. They ran after us and caught up with us in the car park. I was getting a migraine so wasn't thinking clearly, my apologies. Ps. Sorry about the poor photos I'd started eating before I remembered to take a picture. Service: 4 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Great value"

"I was recently visiting a friend in the area and we went here for dinner and drinks with a couple of her friends. The pub is large with plenty of seating and was very aesthetically attractive. They had a lovely menu for food and drinks. Two of us had a roast, one meat one veggie both were very much enjoyed and recommended for future visits. I had the sea bass which was very delicious and the flavours were perfect, I'll definitely be having that again. The pub felt like a good place for all ages, perfect for families and friends going out for dinner but also equally good for meeting for a few drinks with mates and enjoying whatever is on the screens. I highly recommend this pub and will be revisiting when I next visit the area."

"I am giving this restaurant 3 stars because while the food was very good, the service was terrible. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated and then waited 40 minutes for our meal. The staff appeared disinterested, even when we questioned why others who arrived after us were being served before us. They also brought my daughter's meal with rice instead of chips, and we had to remind them about the onion rings we ordered. The staff did not make eye contact or seem happy in their job. Overall, it was not a welcoming environment. However, the food was decent."

"Popped in on the way home from Southport today with my mum, sister-in-law and niece. Three of us had the steak/ chicken combo and one had fish and chips. All four of us thought the food was excellent. The desserts were also top notch and everything was reasonably priced. Top Quality all round"

"My wife and I decided that we'd have Sunday lunch at the Euxton Mills and we were so glad that we did! My wife had the Sunday roast,(beef), which she really enjoyed. A generous amount of tender beef, a large Yorkshire pud, and really tasty roasted potatoes. I had the roast chicken wrapped in streaky bacon, with gravy and peppercorn sauce with chips and veg; gorgeous! We finished with sticky toffee pudding served with ice cream which, again, was really soft and very tasty, all served by a very pleasant young lady! Excellent value for money, and we came away with a lovely taste in our mouths, full marks! We will certainly be dining there again! Cheers, Kath and Tony."

"Food outside saying food served all day, you Go in and not serving food as got a birthday party Should had common sense to put no food sign today to save us trouble parking and going in, and they didn’t get my point or simply remove their advertising sign chalk A board all together"
"I went to the restaurant on a Friday afternoon at 3pm for an early meal. I ordered the rib eye steak and my wife ordered the cod lion Kiev. The cod lion was delicious, but unfortunately, the rib eye was not. It was full of fat, which I mentioned to the waiter. He said he would report it to the chef, but he only spent a few seconds in the kitchen and likely did not have enough time to address the issue. Additionally, he forgot our order and had to try to remember it instead of writing it down, resulting in our onion rings arriving late and my steak being cooked rare instead of medium rare. Despite these issues, I still like this pub but it may be some time before I return for food."

"The food itself was very nice, with good sized portions however it its the front of house that massively let 's this place down. It was dreadful and non existent. Supposedly had table service, but the drinks took forever and a day to arrive when ordered (the pub was fairly quiet at this time too). Food arrived with the waiter quickly placing them on the table and immediately walking off, without asking if we wanted condiments, only to realise we had no cutlery neither, and ignored our calls when requesting them. This happened with both the starter and main. Nobody came to check and see if our meals where fine, after waiting a good while for someone to appear with no luck had to go to the bar to order our second lot of drinks. After finishing, our plates remained on the table with nobody coming to clear them and after waiting 10 mins opted to pay and leave rather than having dessert. Several tables around us also had dirty plates and cutlery during the whole time we ate at the venue without being cleared. Upon going up to pay all staff were sat in a corner chatting away amd laughing (was definitely not a staff meeting) and once provided with the bill was not asked how everything had been and received a half hearted thank you when payment was received with no acknowledgement when leaving. Will not return and will definitely not recommend to anyone."

"I'm not one for writing many reviews about anything but I feel I need to warn others not to order from here.. me and my partner waited for a few hours for our order. The delivery driver couldn't find our house and had to direct him to where we lived. Then when we got our food the chips where cold and stodgy. The pizza was not cooked properly and had very little topping on it. I only ate one slice as it was awful. When rang up to complain was met by complete ignorance and rudness from the staff who just put the phone and didn't seem to care what the problem was. So after waiting for over 2 hours for food and spending close to £20 the food went in the bin. Waste of time and money!"

"Ok, well I haven't tried all the food here, having been only the once yesterday. The young girls on the bar were all lovely and friendly, really attentive to everything we could need. Really can't fault them at all. The pub is really cosy. Tables clean, fresh cutlery and condiments brought when you order. £4.60 for a pint of Moretti is about right in most pubs these days I think. As for the food, well we both had the Lock Quay burger. Topped with bacon, mushroom and mozzarella, it was a monster. In a seeded bun, which you don't see much these days (to be honest, I'm getting bored with the brioche malarky). The salad was fresh and had a tasty dressing. Fries were seasoned just enough, absolutely delicious. If this meal was anything to go by, we'll definitely be returning, as some of the other meals on the menu looked very tasty."

"I have been looking for a 5 Star Fish n chippy for a while and tried J Seas for the 1st time Friday 11th Sept 2020. I arrived just as it was closing but the very friendly lady in charge cooked me a fresh large fish as I had travelled from Preston which I was very impressed with !! I have travelled all over the UK as a Field Engineer and I can safely say that J Seas is the best chippy I have ever found. The fish was cooked beautifully and the chips totally non greasy. I will now make this my regular chippy. Ignore all the bad reviews as it’s quite clear that they are probably from their jealous competitors."

"Wow! What can I say?! Excellent food at excellent prices! We called in for a cheap and cheerful pub lunch. Last time we visited, before the Pandemic, we had a disatorous experience and felt a bit dubious about our choice of venue. Today, there wasn 't...a possibility to pay by card (I understand that there was an issue with Green King 's computer system). However. Customer service was outstanding. Full marks to all the team. Explanations fully given, and we chose to pay in cash. The Pub looks great, the staff are absolutely wonderful and the food was 10 out of 10. My dad had a lovely birthday. Other customers were also saying how much they appreciate the experience of dining at Yarrow Bridge. It was quite full, but we had timely service and our meals were devoured! So a huge Thank You! to all at Yarrow Bridge. We 'll be back!"

"You should have to sign a waver on entry. Place was damp, dark, depressing and generally swamp-like I reluctantly wondered over to the un attended “carvery” the meat looked like a car tire, like chewing on sandals, the parsnips could be used as windscreen wipers. The gravy was clotted and vile. Everything was microwaved. My son had a mix grill and it was indescribable what ever “chef” you have back there needs to get sacked. My 90 yr old neighbour Doris, who is blind and in a wheel chair can do a better job. Those roast potatoes can put windows through. This place needs knocking down."

"If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would. Everything from the facility, atmosphere, bar, service, food, waitress, and overall experience was amazing. The service was fantastic. We started with nibbels (bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar is a must) and garlic bread with mozzarella. For our main dishes, we had the king prawn and black pudding, both of which were amazing. Another member of our party had the cheddar and leek soup, which my father called incredible. For dessert, we had a chocolate cake, burger, and halibut with lobster, all of which were incredible. My 6-year-old son was treated like royalty, and the service was impeccable. Thank you for making my mother's birthday special and for making my parents' 31st anniversary unforgettable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant!"

"This is a very popular cafe/restaurant with good honest food. Very popular with dog walkers due to its location. There is inside and outside seating and it’s located in beautiful woodland. This cafe is dog friendly. Unfortunately although I am ok with dogs I don’t like them messing around my heels whilst eating looking at me waiting for scraps and constantly wondering if one is going to do it’s mess on the floor just as I am tucking into my full English breakfast. There is no separation for people without dogs to eat so if like me you don’t like being surrounded by dogs whilst eating you may be better to give it a miss."
