"My breakfast at Chaplin's Restaurant in Dover was amazing. The regular breakfast was excellent, with just the right portion sizes that left me feeling completely satisfied. The black coffee was delicious and paired perfectly with the meal. The standout of the experience was the fantastic service from the chef, who made sure everything was perfect. "both were pendants by strictly, my neighbor and I decided to gather in a quiet night, so I decided to collect a beautiful curry from the chutney masala, from where I had enjoyed a beautiful curry in august. I had passed the chutney during a walk and studied the menu in the window when the friendly manager discovered me and gave me a menu and told me how long I should wait after I could pick up the order. I would have decided that I had my dinner to feel so disturbed by the fire in the readiness for the strictly semifinal that I had good time to collect and eat. I ordered the north indian special chicken with pure rice and aloo gobi. the special chicken was very tasty with the most beautiful afterburns and the aloo gobi had beautiful large pieces sweet. the takeaway is literally thrown out of my house, so will definitely be back."

"The customer service at this restaurant is exceptional. The restaurant itself is clean and stylish. The chairs may be a bit low for taller individuals, but they are comfortable. The food is absolutely amazing and there is plenty of it. We tried the chicken chat puree and found it to be delicious. The Pehwari naan was outstanding. Our main dishes, the Biryani and special balti, were superb. The quality of the food far exceeded our expectations. The wine selection is good, and we enjoyed the Australian Shiraz. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning. It was a wonderful place to spend my birthday evening."

"I understand times are difficult right now, but that is not an excuse to be cheap. Last week, my husband, son, and I stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch. We were in the area to look at a house during lunch time and couldn't wait until we got home to eat. We planned on getting a basic meal so we ordered two sandwiches for myself and my husband, and a kid's pizza for my son. The pizza was fine, although a bit pricey. It was oven-baked and tasted okay. However, when the sandwiches arrived, we were disappointed. The menu sounded great and the fresh ingredients looked appetizing. My husband ordered a ham and gorgonzola sandwich and I ordered a herby sausage and caramelized onion sandwich. What we expected versus what was served was completely different. We imagined gourmet sausages with onions on thick slices of bread, but we received half a crumbled sausage on two small slices of dry sourdough with barely any onions. We were so hungry after finishing our unsatisfying sandwiches that we ended up eating our son's leftover pizza crusts. My suggestion is to charge a bit more but take pride in the dishes you serve to customers. It's better to have a happy and loyal customer base who will return for more."

"3 of my friends ordered the same thing. Mixed meat grill. Presented nicely, but unfortunately that's where it all went wrong. We all had the same issue. I spoke out. I asked if the sausage was ment to be pink? Was assured it was. We...was not particularly happy. I cut into my lamb. It was raw. When I passed comment to the chef and owner, he came out and said it was fine, then to prove it he ate the sausage from my plate, and asked if I was qualified to eat' I kid you not the chef said and did this! I was a little perplexed by this show, as I had not seen that before..... he said it was pink because it was homemade. Pink pork? I am a little sceptical.....They then hurried us out of the door by presenting the bill a few minutes later. Not a particularly pleasant experience. I would be mindful if anyone dared to pass a negative comment to the chef, as he came across particularly aggressive, and was defended by the Soux chef, who actually cooked' it. I only put 1 star, as 0 is not an option...."

"Came in on a business trip with my colleague for evening meal. I had the lasagne and a bottle of water, waiter was polite at the beginning and attentive however strangely found him stood staring from the bar at me which made me very uncomfortable and didn’t want to eat my food. If busy I can assume it probably wouldn’t happen however there were only 2 tables in at the time. It was just very weird and came across creepy."

"I have seen the reviews and decided that I had a neeed to go, which was a challenge as it was just snowing and it was a 150 mile round trip. they come down at an inconvenient front in the mainly residential sea front. as they go into them, get the feeling of a quirky large living room. it has no air no pardon it is what it is. I heard the table next door say that they read something that the cook has no love to michelin inspectors, as he wants to strive for different goals. the menu for Sunday dinner is short, but I decided to stay at the a la carte with chalkboard specialties, as it seems crazy to get into a fish restaurant and have a roast! started with a plate of deep fried oysters with good scattering and deafness. main was a delicious dover sole with tile kartoffel and greens with hollandaise. dessert was a truly sensational lemon sufflé with sauce and lemon jelly ice cream that was delicious. one of the best I've ever eaten, also in two Michelin star facilities (Sorry Cook). the employees are very carefully copied, as well as it became more busy and treated events also the spontaneous unexpected break of a plate (without causal) toilets clean and well ordered. also in terrible wind and snow still full! a real test on the quality of the experience. was it worth a snow-covered 150 mile round trip? Oh, yeah!"

"Amazing food and great welcome here. Food is so tasty and the chef has real ability in creating exciting appetising breakfasts and brunches. Chips (fries) to die for here and omelettes par excellence! Meat products such as sausages, burgers, ham etc are top quality. The most beautifully presented and super fresh salads. Drinks variety good Ruth home made smoothies on offer. Coffee experts can rely on well roasted coffee beans and authentic full flavoured espressos. It really is a treat to come here time after time. "Popped in for takeaway cod and chips. The fish was cooked to order so there was a short wait but we'll worth it as you can't beat freshly cooked fish. All the team behind the counter were friendly and all wearing smart Ossie brand polo shirts. There is nothing to dislike about this fish and chip shop. Will definitely visit again if I'm in the area. As a sideline they also serve ice cream so catering for two different markets. Parking: Council run parking near the medical centre."

"This place has the best batter, the best banter and the best menu selection I’ve ever come across in a fish chip shop. It was so good, I went back twice during a weeks stay in Deal. The menu is modern (amazing Gluten Free...batter truly awesome), with vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options all on offer. The portion sizes are more than generous and every single member of staff makes you feel welcome and at home. This is a neighbourhood corner stone that should truly be celebrated, and judging by the amount of local customers it seems to be! Do yourself a favour, if you’re in the area, make sure you visit and experience it for yourself. A true gem. An easy stars from me, The “Glutenated Glutenator”"

"Great Sunday lunch experience! Warm welcome and service soon as we walked in! Limited beers wine but enough to find something to whet your whistle! Also managed to try their Sunday roast good portions (meat, pots veg) and no need to ask for extra gravy as you get a jug on the side. Cauli cheese side order good too! We parked at the other end of Deal so great walk to pub (mosey round town) then lunch then lovely beachside walk back. Great way to enjoy a Sunday : D"

"I went here with a friend to enjoy good food and for quality time. The staff were attentive when we arrived and showed us our table promptly. We both ordered some mocktails which were delicious. The food we ordered, the portion sizes are just right, they aren't massive and they aren't tiny and each dish was delicious. We decided to share the dessert, which takes 30 minutes but we think it's worth the wait. I can't wait to return later on in the year or potentially try one of their Sunday Roasts"

"Absolutely delicious! We went to this restaurant last night as part of our visit to Deal and were really pleased with our choice. The place is very uniquely designed and made us feel like stepping into a whole new world; staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was super we had the Bangkok delight platter for starters then some sweet sour chicken and chicken with cashew plus coconut jasmine rice. Everything tasted fresh and had this homemade authentic feel to it. We also ended up getting some coconut roll and pandan cake for takeaway and had it as a delicious breakfast the following morning. Would recommend!!! Wish we had found it earlier so we could have gone every day of our trip"

"A nice village pub with a good food menu. We were seated at a table in view of the entire restaurant and bar; at times it felt uncomfortable as people from the bar could watch us eating. We were also the only ones seated at this time. 3 other tables arrived shortly after. The food was brilliant, as expected from The Pickled Egg chain. I had the scotch egg starter, which I could have eaten twice! And the skewers main, which was presented beautifully, was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Dessert was okay apricot frangipan. The casing was over cooked and the apricot puree was too much. Enjoyed the restaurant and the meal, reasonably priced, parking outside, good service. No complaints."

"In the evening pampered by a waitress with attitude: a brutal art. she was rude with her remarks that were even noticed by neighboring tables. 2. to last night b4 lock, so that several dings must be ordered as not available. the red drinkers were happy with their wine. the white wee we wanted was not available, so we had problems with several diff preferences to find one to all tastes, so eventually went for the house Sauvignon/Semillon, which was not great. Understanding to be on some things at this point probably low, but waitress was pushy and impatient. think they have been stressed by everything they do not put on the customers! I was a waitress and I'm not sure if she was properly trained to talk to customers. she hadn't come over her b4. they call us with a decreasing ton as if we were little children. I have a great experience at 81 and you eat is usually very good and the staff is beautiful. their Sunday dinners are delicious. there were six of us and only three had appetizers that were nice. 4 had burgers who were dry and a bit flabby. great chips. the other net parts were good, but not up to the usual standard. we hoped for a funny sociable eve b4 lock off at a place we all know well, but sad it was marred and we came to think away “what a strange evening”."

"Date night with the wife. Food was exceptional, recommend the brie starter. The little mini loafs of bread was a cute touch. We decided after seeing the sea food share plater to have that between us as a main. The food was amazing, the taste was incredible. The rub...... It's so not worth the money. There was enough on the plater for one as a main. Very expensive for what you get. Which is a massive shame. As with most things, what you see online is not what you get. The big mac effect. If you don't mind paying a lot of money for not a lot, it's very tasty. We had beautiful sea views due to sitting upstairs. As much as downstairs looks lovely inside, upstairs gives you the sea view. Service was amazing. Everyone had service with a smile. Suggestions worked out. Thank you!"

"Had breakfast at the The Plough Beefeater, just outside of Dover. Massive improvement in service compared to my last visit in 2020, when service was incredibly slow and there was a poor attitude to customers from both managers and most staff. On my recent visit the food was served in a reasonable time and there is a marked, positive, difference in staff attitude. Would now recommend."
