"I (we) visit all the time as it is convenient, the food is great and it is not over-priced. This particular visit, we met someone new (to me) and she (Rachel) was so beautiful and bubbly, I had to ask her name to make it a more personal contact. No request was met with anything negative, always, OF COURSE YOU CAN, lovely and both meals were marvelous. Then there is tiny little Lora or Lorna, not certain which and my apologies. She zips around the place she is almost invisible, however, always smiling, pleasant and any requests are equally met with OF COURSE and I actually called the manager to compliment these two beautiful staff and he asked me to compliment them on Tripadvisor, which I always forget about. Being who I am, if there is *EVER* anything not quite right, I ask for it to be made right and it is never a problem. Regardless of where I eat, this is my way and to my knowledge, only one person who has been with me (at the Glassworks) has ever had a problem and it was easily resolved. MUCH BETTER TO LET THEM KNOW, allow them to resolve the situation than leave a negative review. If EVER there is a problem with a meal (ANY VENUE), I quietly ask a server to make whatever right and have always been thanked as it is the only way said venue can ever know about said problem and make the situation right... and keep you as a customer. John, the new manager is awesome and has made some very positive changes since coming on board and I applaud his care, concern, friendliness, and professionalism all rolled into one and this is the same I see with the staff. What more can you ask for when you want to have a meal out with friends/family.. Sincerely submitted... go have a lovely meal in a lovely atmosphere"

"The staff done the best they could I guess and they were polite and curteous but we arrived at 6 pm for a family birthday dinner. QWe had all pre-ordered our food. Our food was not served until after 7pm and only because we had to ask to be served. My partner and I did not have starters but others in our party did. When our food arrived my sirloin steak was okay but very badly presented. My partner had ordered the rib of beef but this was absolutely shockingly bad. It was burnt, the vegetables were sloppy leaks and cabbage and there was no potato other than what appeared to be four pieces, smaller than and as this as a two pence piece. It was not even tasty. The starter plates were not taken away before serving the main meals either and were left piled on the table. The mains all came at different times and some of us had almost finished our food by the time others were served. The manager did apologise for this and gave a round of dinks as an apology. However, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone else as it really was not a pleasant dining experience. the food we had was certainly not worth the money paid. My partner and I have eaten at other Ember Inn establishments and have always enjoyed what we have ordered at those. Unfortunately The Old White Horse at Stourbridge was a let down and we will not be returning. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2"
