Emerald Chinese - Menu

My third visit to this restaurant. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food was nice and hot and very tasty . A most enjoyable evening and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

It’s been years since last visit. Family supper out yesterday and wasn’t disappointed. Very tasty supper at very reasonable price. Service excellent, Tables still sensibly separated. Will definitely return soon.

Average knew something has changed certainly not as good as used to be Main course of satay duck with egg fried rice was very greasy my wife’s duck hoisin duck was very fatty so wont be using again Just got to find a new place to get takeaway View menu

We have visited this place a few times as we live in the village and we cannot fault it the food is always top notch. In the week they do a 5 course special and believe me you will not find better value anywhere else, And you wont leave hungry

Don't know what happened here as the Emerald used to be really good. The last 12 months reviews weren't the best nor the food. Have had 2 takeaways in the last month and they were the best I've had in ages. Great news that they're back to their past excellent standard.

Well what can I say... this place does not disappoint, decided to book a table for valentines night and the food was out this world.....salt and pepper chicken wings are a must! i love coming here the staff are all so friendly and polite. Have had many Takeaways from here but won't be going back again. Got 3 very skinny spare ribs which they charged £6 for, that's £2 per rib, just checked the menu and it should have been £5.50 for a full portion of spare ribs. I paid £6 for what was effectively an Appertizer. You get a proper portion at the other local Takeaways and you also don't get Overcharged.

So different to the last time we went. Dreadful. Apart from the mushroom curry the rest of it wasn't very nice at all. Starters were really greasy and not very hot. The main sweet and sour pork was more like crispy beef, hard and chewy with barely a drop of sauce. We asked for more sweet and sour sauce, they brought a small bowl of it, clearly straight out of the fridge, stone cold. Tiny amount of rice for 2. Puddings were awful. The final straw was the state of the toilet. You had to put your fingers into the top of the cistern to flush as the push button was broken. It was dirty and the sink filthy. So disappointed tonight! We called the Emerald at around 7:30 (admittedly a last minute decision on a Saturday) to ask if they had a table for 2 available. They said they had but it would be around 8:30-8:45. We said that was fine. They said, no problem, no name required, just turn up. Lovely! We arrive at 8:45 to be told by the waitress that there was no table and that ‘she found it hard to believe we had called because no one would say there was a table’ At this point I asked, are you accusing me of lying?
