"our group of seven friends from Scotland was on the way through and needed a place where we were able to froze from a very cold düsseldorfer day. ham-Bei josef did so many fronts. the reception of marinko miletic, a former German football player, was of course attentive and very friendly. we were all FB friends before we had left the restaurant at all, and we talked great about his career. we travel a lot, and the Consens was that he was one of the best front-of-house hosters we met. we really felt like home. the traditional eating also failed and the pork-shaxe, pork dishes, sausages, chickens and salads were excellent. I also have to say that the young said that the beer was the best we had tried in düsseldorf. we were there twice and at both places the quality was the same. we could have been sitting there all day. I can't wait to see marinko again and get my wife back."

"Als jemand, der schon viele Pizzas ausprobiert hat, kann ich ehrlich sagen, dass die Pizzeria Messina, die ich kürzlich wieder einmal besucht habe, eine der besten ist, die ich je erlebt habe! Vom ersten Bissen bis zum letzten war jeder Moment ein absolutes Vergnügen. Die Pizza war perfekt zubereitet, mit einem knusprigen Boden und einer köstlichen Tomatensoße, die genau die richtige Menge an Würze hatte. Der Käse war geschmolzen und gleichmäßig über die Pizza verteilt und die Zutaten waren frisch und von höchster Qualität. Jeder Biss war ein Genuss und ich konnte nicht genug bekommen! Neben der unglaublichen Pizza war auch der Service herausragend. Das Personal war (kinder-)freundlich, aufmerksam und kannte sich bestens mit allen Speisen aus. Das Ambiente des Restaurants war ebenfalls perfekt. Die Einrichtung war einladend und gemütlich und schaffte eine entspannte Atmosphäre, in der wir uns wohlfühlen konnten. Insgesamt kann ich die Pizzeria Messina nur empfehlen. Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach einer unglaublich leckeren Pizza sind, die mit hochwertigen Zutaten zubereitet wird, und einem hervorragenden Service und Ambiente, dann ist diese Pizzeria definitiv einen Besuch wert. Sie wird meines Erachtens immer die beste Pizzeria sein."

"One of our favorite restaurants in Düsseldorf! The food is fantastic especially the mezedes. We’ve also had the mousaka and the sea bass which were both excellent. DO NOT forget to have the sokolatina mini chocolate lava cake for dessert. The service and ambience are great, everyone is very friendly and the outdoor patio is very pretty."

"Im Mekong wird thailändische und laotische Küche serviert. Das Ambiente ist angenehm, holzvertäfelte Wände, Kerzenlicht auf dem Tisch, nichts wirkt überladen oder "asiatisch" überladen.Zur Vorspeise gab es "Hors d'oeuvre", d.h. eine Variation verschiedener kleiner Leckereien (diverse Rollen mit Fleisch und Scampis, insgesamt gut aber unspektakulär, die Dip-Soße war allerdings nichts besonderes - fertig bezogen/Einheitsbrei). Etwas teuer, aber sicherlich dem Preis der Zutaten geschuldet, war der Papaya Salat (Tam Mak Houng, überschaubare Portion), der mit 6,90 € zu Buche schlägt.Beim Hauptgang hatte ich mich für das laotisches Nationalgericht Larb entschieden (Entenfleisch), sehr lecker und nicht zu scharf. Gut war auch das rote Curry mit Rind (scharf, wie in Thailand üblich). Serviert wurden beide Gerichte mit einem großen Topf Reis. Getränketechnisch bietet die Karte vom Cocktail, über frisch gezapftes Bier (Alt/Pils) und Softdrinks alles was das Herz begehrt. Der Service war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und nicht aufdringlich. Schwierig ist es allerdings, einen (geschmacklichen) Vergleich zu anderen asiatischen Restaurants zu ziehen (insbesondere zu chinesischen). Die Gerichte weichen geschmacklich oft nicht weit voneinander ab, eine Unterscheidung nach gut oder mäßig bzw. Standardqualität fällt oft schwer. Insgesamt hat es uns aber im Mekong gut gefallen."

"Arrived about 6pm... tables were free. I was ushered to a high table near the door as this was for "one person..." although there was another for 4 free. I sat at the high table for two minutes and decided to ask to move to a low table as the spot light shining on the table was extremely bright and uncomfortable. The waiter/boss? Agreed. Food came within 10 minutes (Chicken Korma) was pictured on the menu but it was still very spicy for a mild korma. I actually thought it was very tasty. My only complaint is that the plate it was served on was cold... hence the food became rapidly cold. Portion was ok but a little on the small size... but well presented. €17 paid main course and two . The waiter does have an air of arrogance about him... confirmed in other reports. I'm not sure if I was "really" welcome... well that's the impression I got anyway. I was here in the summer too... eat outside on the corner... needs weeding more often. Food 4⭐️ Service 3 ⭐️ atmosphere 3 ⭐️️ 3 1/2 stars ✨ overall. It has a good "Stammgast" clientele. One waitress was a bit too casually dressed with jeans shorts stockings and an Adidas top.... not quite the right attire for evening serving (didn't serve me though) Maybe I'm getting too old so food good... but atmosphere spoilt my enjoyment a bit... you can see how bright the spot light is on the picture... and this was the duller table. Will I come back? Yes for the food!"

"Über das Essen kann ich leider nichts sagen, weil es nie angekommen ist. Fairerweise muss man sagen, dass wir über den Lieferdienst von Uber bestellt haben und das zunächst erstmal nicht den Anbieter betrifft. Aber: nachdem wir telefonisch mitgeteilt haben, dass das Essen nicht angekommen ist sicherte man mir zu, die würden ihren eigenen Lieferdienst schicken. Nach weiteren 40 Minuten rief ich erneut an, wo man mir sagte, es wäre erneut von Uber abgeholt worden, das sei aber schon 20 Minuten her. Wir haben die Bestellung dann storniert. Es waren nämlich bereits fast 1,5 Stunden vergangen und weit nach 22 Uhr. Am Ende des Tages ist mir persönlich egal, mit wem der Anbieter irgendwelche Lieferverträge hat: wenn kein Essen geliefert wird, ist es die Verantwortung des Anbieters. Kein Wort der Entschuldigung, nur, es sei nicht deren Schuld. Sehe ich persönlich ein bisschen anders."

"Das ist ein netter kleine Steh-Italiener, der die besten Zeiten hinter sich hat. Das Essen ist zweifelsfrei okay, aber durchschnittlich gut. Die Pizzen sind leider sehr spärlich belegt dafür glänzen die Preise durch stetiges Wachstum. Die Nudelgerichte sind mal hervorragend und mal schlecht. Die Crew gibt sich redlich Mühe und ist sehr freundlich. Aber wenn die Nudeln durch gekocht sind das am Ende auch nichts. Leider sind über die Jahre die Preise sehr stark gestiegen und die Qualität hat die Steigerung nicht mitgemacht. Wenn sie 10-20 € zu viel in der Tasche haben und Hunger, sollten Sie hier einkehren, denn sie werden jedenfalls satt . Wenn sie einen Italiener mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis haben möchten, dann fahren Sie weiter."

"Noticed not many English reviews for this restaurant but decided to risk it. So glad we did. The food (grilled fish and moussaka) tasted authentic and was delicious. It was made more special by the accompanying Greek wine and the friendly service. We were also given a complimentary glass of ouzo. Whilst quite expensive, it was worth it and we will definitely return when we visit this area again."

"So after a long mess day I went with a friend to dinner there, after the order we got a dip with olive oil and aceto balsamico with warm Italian brot. we were not aware of the quantities, so we ordered 2 salads each and 2 orders from linguini with seafood. the salate came, one was a spatula salad with orangenvinigrette and the other had rocca, chalk, tomato, parmigiano and orangenmark. the crowds were really big, we couldn't eat them. the main court came then, omg it was huge! ! pasta was alluded, as it belongs, with a generous amount of different fish and a beautiful tomato sauce. there was no calamari or snuggle and only one garnel and that was the court that could be improved, but overall eating was really good and saturating, there was only space for a very good espresso."

"Had two take-aways in the past and it was my first time to eat at the restaurant.Food was OK, well spiced and sufficient, yet..Main problem was- waiting for 90 minutes before we received our dishes was a bit too much. The place was packed with people, due to an exhibition in town, but their arrangement of serving complete order, per table, meant you had to wait for your "turn" to eat. Not the best arrangement after a long day at the exhibition and not much to eat during the day.Assume it'll be better when the place is more at ease, but when you travel to D'dorf for an exhibition, should be taken into consideration before you go."

"We have been doing a regular Sunday Search for Asian restaurants in the Düsseldorf/Duisburg/ Essen area of NRW that get away from the all too familiar All you can eat formula of generic German style asian cuisine! After disasters and one success we decided...to give this small restaurant a try last Sunday evening. As our previous weekend had produced a good result we decided to keep to dim sum to get a comparison. Broadly speaking DimSum Bistro in Bilk came out pretty well. The little restaurant is light and airy and very clean and the service is courteous and all items came in manageable relays, and were hot and freshly prepared.Most were excellent but a couple missed the mark for us, the Black bean pork ribs were tasty but undercooked and very difficult to get the meat off the bones! The beef balls with lemon grass and spinach were too big as dim sum and too dense and chewy! We were a little disappointed with the two types of Chee Cheong Fun which were not those light slippery rice noodles but more like rice paper however the taste was good. Another little plus : it was good to have a choice of chinese teas and not only the cheap and often nasty jasmine tea Pu errh is the best companion for Dim sum. Overall a nice meal at a reasonable price"

"we have been in this restaurant several times and now it will be time for me to finally leave a good review. I have tried various foods, from appetizers to suppers to main dishes, it has always tasted excellent. once a court was too sharp to me, I asked the waiter, who also thinks I was the owner, who somehow alleviate the sharp. he was then so friendly and brought me a completely new dish without getting up! Also the cocktails are highly recommended, also here I have tried various sorts and can all highly recommend. regarding the service is the personal very fast, for my taste also friendly but perhaps not as chatty as in other restaurants. always like to come back here!"

"we visited on a Friday night and there were few free spaces. the restaurant is old, cozy and friendly, and we were immediately greeted and sitting. our German was not willing to understand the whole menu that contained many local and seasonal dishes...but a beautiful waitress came and explained all the dishes in simple German, and even went to the kitchen to pick up an ingredient to show us if we could not understand what definitiw went beyond and beyond her tasks! the traditional dishes we chose were delicious, but the portions were huge! I would have liked to try a pudding, but there was no place for that. I would have liked to have had a meal between two and would have been full!"
