"Mittwochabend im Biergarten. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Der Service aufmerksam. Wartezeit total angemessen, Vorspeisen und Hauptgang gut abgestimmt zeitlich und noch mal vom Servicepersonal erfragt. Wir hatten Carpaccio, Mozarella in Parmaschinken und eine Pizza. Die Pizza mit guten und knusprigen Teig und gut belegt, genau richtig. Preis Leistung fanden wir total angemessen. Geschmacklich alles super und schön angerichtet. Wein war lecker, einzigst der Rotwein war für unseren Geschmack zu warm. Wurde aber auf Wunsch ausgetauscht. Klare Empfehlung, für Schlechtwetter auch drinnen oder im angrenzenden Zelt geeignet. Ruhig gelegen in Jena Ost aber gut erreichbar. Italiener in Jena, für uns gerne wieder. DANKE."

"We made a stopover here in rainy weather. We noticed the cafe the day before and that a lot of people came here. "Waren mit Freunden zum Abendessen dort. Das Lokal ist sehr gut in das alte Hause integriert und es ist eine spannende Mischung zwischen alt und neu. Der Service war sehr bemüht und die Getränke haben wir dann gleich bekommen. Das Essen hat dann ein wenig gedauert, aber da wir uns gut unterhalten haben, war es noch vertretbar. Die Speisekarte ist eine sehr interessante Mischung aus traditionellen Thüringer Gerichten in moderner Form sowie asiatisch inspirierten Gerichten. Schön auch dass es für Vegetarier interessante Gerichte abseits den sonst üblichen gibt. Hatte die glasierte Lammhaxe mit Schmorgemüse und Thüringer Klößen. Die Haxe war gut zubereitet, der Thymian Jus geschmacklich noch ein wenig ausbaufähig, auch weil in der Sauce fast zuviel Pfeffer war, wobei ich eigentlich ganz gerne scharf esse. Die Klöße hatten eine schöne Konsistenz und das Gemüse war ok. Auch der Flammkuchen sieht sehr lecker aus und ist recht originell belegt. Lieder hatte ich keine Gelegenheit etwas aus der gut sortierten Weinkarte zu probieren. Zusammengefasst, es war ein netter Abend in einem schönen Lokal mit gutem Essen, da kann mon schin wieder hingehen auch um einen der Weine zu testen"

"Gemütlicher Gasthof mit gutem Essen. Die Teller sind liebevoll zurechtgemacht. Ebenso die Tische, die Blumendeko macht sich gut. Insgesamt eine nostalgische Gaststuben-Wohnzimmer-Atmosphäre, in der man sich wohlfühlt. Biergarten können wir nicht beurteilen, da es draußen regnete. Es ist aus unserer Sicht gut, dass es solche Gasthöfe wie die traditionsreiche Linde noch gibt, denn woanders sind sie manchmal (oder sollte ich schreiben: oft ? verschwunden. Sie setzen die Tradition alter Dorfgasthöfe fort und sind auch sozialer Kristallisationspunkt. Gegenüber den im Internet vorab vorzufindenden lückenhaften Speisekartenauszügen fanden wir bei unserem Besuch dann tatsächlich auch eine gute Auswahl an Bieren, davon drei frisch vom Fass und aus der Region. Auch die Weinauswahl war bei unserem Besuch wesentlich größer und ansprechender als vorab online zu finden (bei Google oder der Gasthof-Homepage nur zwei weiße und zwei rote offene Weine . Tatsächlich gab es fünf rote Weine (davon ein regionaler und sieben weiße (davon fünf regionale aus Saale Unstrut , die glasweise bestellt werden konnten. Gut! Natürlich gibt es auch Limonaden, Säfte, Soft Drinks und Wasser von Thüringer Waldquell. Fair die Auswahl an Kindergerichten: von Kloß mit Rotkohl und Soße, über Kartoffelpuffer mit Apfelmus sowie Schnitzelstreifen mit Pommes reicht die Auswahl bis zu Fischstreifen mit Pommes, alles in der Preisspanne von 5,10 bis 6,60 €. Gern poste ich die aktuelle Speisekarte (siehe Bilder . Ach ja, der WC-Zugang ist über den Hof, für uns kein Problem, auch das ist Nostalgie."

"...zumindest hatten wir am 03.Oktober 2013 den Eindruck beim Besuch zum Mittagessen in Ziegenhain. Neben uns waren noch drei andere Familien / Wanderer, die sich zunächst erst einmal mühevoll an der Speisenausgabe anstellen mussten um ihre Bestellung aufzugeben. Danach durften Schritt für Schritt zunächst die Getränke und dann die Speisen einzeln abgeholt werden. Der Wirt ( er ist wahrscheinlich zu dick zum gehen ) und sein Gehilfe waren nicht darauf eingerichtet am Tisch zu bedienen, statt dessen spielte sich alles an der Durchreiche der Außentür ab, so dass gebrauchtes Geschirr und Gläser in Eintracht mit den abzuholenden Speisen nebeneinander standen. Neben dem Goulasch für 10 Euro war nur noch das Milchzicklen für knapp 20 Euro zu haben, dazu gab es eine Spezi (0,4 Liter für drei Euro) und Bier im Krug (was ich nicht so mag).Ach ja, auch Kloß mit Soße (6,40 Euro) war noch im Programm.Die Speisen waren guter Durchschnitt, allerdings die Soßen mit Sahne zu Tode "verfeinert".Zum Abschluss bestellten (holten ) wir uns noch einen Espresso, automatisch gab es zwei Doppelte, die wir gar nicht wollten (die aber mit 7 Euro nochmals gut die Rechnung gefüllt hätten). Nach unserem Einwand wurde uns Mißgelaunt erklärt, man müsse schon sagen, dass man einen einfachen Espresso möchte, die doppelte Variante wäre ebenso wie bei allen anderen Getränken der Standard.Insgesamt ist das Lokal nicht zu empfehlen, qualitativ ist es nichts Besonderes, dafür wird bei den Preisen ordentlich abgezogen.Service ist nicht gerade das Hauptaugenmerk, von den Standardgrößen der Speisen (je nur ein Kloß) wird man nicht satt, einen Espresso oder Underberg braucht man durch die sahnigen Speisen aber trotzdem."

"The Italian restaurant looked very nice and it was clean. The food was perfect and the pizza was cooked in a stone oven.Contrary to this, i was shocked when I saw the bill, I was in denial at first but I soon realised that the very small bottle of STILL water that they could of got from a tap cost 3 EUROS!!The first time we went there we asked for still water but it was sparking so it ended up being more fizzy than Pepsi.3 Euros for a bottle of water about 200 ml, I've seen huge 1.5 L bottles of sprite for the same price.The garlic bread didn't taste if garlic, and when we ordered as a group the garlic meal arrived before the rest of our meals, so it was Very awkward. After this we asked for the bill which took the same amount of time as it took Leonardo Dicaprio to get his Oscar, which was frustrating as we wanted to leave.I would also like to add that the service on a Sunday is more laid back than Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show. The food took so long that by the time it came I lost my appetite, then we ordered some jacket potatoes and tiramisu which took another 45 mins or however long Ellen's talk show is on for."

"We bezoeken dit hotel op rondreis door Duitsland! Bij aankomst kregen we te horen dat we in een huisje moeten logeren. Wij vonden dit wel vreemd omdat we een hotel geboekt hadden! Maar goed het is wel ok! Alles zit er wel in. De bedden staan een beetje vreemd maar er is een douche en toilet en schone handdoeken. De auto staat naast het huisje en we kunnen onze e bikes hier ook kwijt. Het ontbijt is sober maar wel goed. We hebben gisteravond in het restaurant gegeten. Het eten is erg vet maar wel goed. Ik zou hier niet nog een keer heen gaan. Het hotel ligt in een industriegebied! Fietsen kun je hier ook niet echt goed. We zijn op de fiets naar het centrum van Jena gefietst. Dat was goed te doen door het park langs de rivier."

"Wir saßen auf dem Markt, wurden schnell und freundlich bedient und haben so die Mittagspause genossen. Für jeden war auf der Speisekarte etwas dabei, wobei deutsche Hausmannskost dominierte. Es gibt vegetarisch und vegan in kleiner Auswahl. Ich hatte einen vegetarischen Spinat-Kartoffel-Auflauf, der lecker war, aber leider etwas schwer verträglich, wie sich anschließend herausstellte. Beim nächsten Mal wird es wohl etwas anderes. Trotzdem insgesamt meine Empfehlung."

"Soon after arriving in Jena, a Mexican friend went to El Sombrero, wondering if she could buy some ingredients for her home kitchen from the restaurant. What are you talking about? they asked her. We don't actually buy any 'real' Mexican ingredients. We just buy...in bulk from Chio. I have since been to El Sombrero a few times. The menu features items I have never seen at Mexican restaurants in any other country on the planet, such as baked potatoes with chili um, that's British. On my most recent visit, I decided to give one of their burgers a try, the barbecue burger. It was a driedout, burnt hockey puck in the form of a burger, on an incredibly dry bun. It also included ingredients that no North American would ever put on a burger, such as fresh cucumbers. It also cost around Even McDonald's makes a better burger for a fraction of the price. Why is this restaurant getting any number of points at all from me? Three words: margarita happy hour. They aren't homemade margaritas; just the kind mixed together in a slushy icee machine, but for it's hard to go wrong"

"Enjoyable family night out on a sultry summer evening. Really enjoyed the traditional food (large portions! do ask for half-size portions for the kids - in fact, our kids barely managed those!), the quaint music-theme decor and the friendly service. We had the Sülze (jellied meat dish) and Brathering (which I had expected to be hot, but it's served cold/pickled. The kids had a noodle dish and the tomato soup - both were really good. "The food is decent here with the adana kebab being enjoyable along with the provided side dish. A friend tried the minced meat with Aubergine starter which also seemed to be a value for money dish considering the amount provided. However the diced lamb dish was a bit tough to chew and seemed less palatable than the other dishes. Overall the ambience of the place is nice. The portion sizes could be slightly improved for some of the dishes though."
