"we were there for a business meeting. the services are very friendly, but eating for vegetarians are very bland, lack of seasoning. we know that this place is not really for vegetarian, but some of our colleagues who had meat also said it was eating. Just okay, but not great. there were five of us from people had different vegetarian options, but none of us was thrilled by our eating."

Restaurant failed to live up to its reviews. Good selection of dishes but the quality is poor. The soup was lumpy telling me it was old and the hirsche goulash was way over seasoned. Pity has it looked nice but the quality wasn’t there

A local recommended this restaurant to us and said it was the best German cuisine in town. We loved it. Friendly staff, who also put up with my bad german! Food was tasty but portions were huge. We ordered a meal each and each dish...could easily have fed people. Share one dish! View menu

As a firsttimer in Jena I spent my first evening at Stilbruch and had the Thuringian tasting platter. What to say, apart it is a purely German experience: good food, not fine but tasty, hearty and comforting, for a very affordable price. A couple beers...and you feel at home in Jena

This is the special occasion restaurant in Jena. Quite good. Vegetarians in particular will be pleased with the options, and I am sure the Indian-inspired vegetarian dishes on the menu (surprising) are better than you’d get at the very poorly-reviewed Indian restaurant in Jena. We...loved our meal. Our server was dicey on the English but that was OK as one of us spoke German.
