"Wir wollten unseren Hochzeitstag nachholen und haben uns für das Julien entschieden.Die haben täglich eine tolle Menükarte mit jeweils 5 Hauptgerichten und so zwischen 3 und 5 Vor- und Nachspeisen, zum kombinieren und das alles zu einem angemessenen Preis. "Located in the footsteps of the Kaiserslautern Main Station is this small Vietnamese restaurant. While waiting for my connection, I wanted to make use of the time and quiet my hunger. By chance when I was sneaking, I hit the place. From the outside it seemed quite inviting so that I spontaneously decided to return. In the interior, with some far-east accessories, e.g. rice straw hats, bamboo, aquarium, artificial orchids ...., was tried to create a cozy ambience. The wooden tables are without any decoration, otherwise the room is rather cool and somewhat uncomfortable. Even the large running TV in the guest room is more comfortable and strange, I would expect more in a pub or bar. Simple furnishing, large floor depth windows allow a lot of brightness to penetrate inside. In addition to eating on site, a takeaway is offered, from which during my visit also rain was made and many people picked up their food. Crepes......., Menues for 2 persons, delicious cocktails and far-east beers and juices Truc Bach, Saigon beer, Huda, Mangominz juice, Nuoc Mia, Dua Tuoi....... and Vietnamese coffee, teas specialties e.g. Sua Da, Sua Nong , Tra Sua Hat E Da 30 and lunch faster friendly service surprised me at this random finding"

"Wir waren hier das erste und das letzte Mal. SO SCHLECHT HABEN WIR NOCH NIE GEGESSEN !!!!! Das Cordon bleu war halb roh, mein Putenfilet schwimmend in Currysoße musste ich in die Serviette spucken, war wie eine SCHUHSOHLE. An diesem Abend kann kein Koch das Essen gemacht, der würde so was nie rausgeben....das ESSEN ging auch zu schnell . In 10 Minuten hatten wir die Getränke, den Salat und das Essen, Nachdem wir das Essen als ungenießbar reklamierten, und die Rechnung bestellten, sagte wir, das wir die Getränke bezahlen , aber das Essen nicht, die Bedienung nahm das Essen mit in die Küche, kam zurück mit der RECHNUNG;und sagte die hälfte von ESSEN müssten wir bezahlen, wir hätten ja schließlich auch was davon gegessen,,,,,,ja 2 BISSEN sonst wüßten wir ja auch nicht, dass es nicht schmeckt. Ich verneinte, legte das Geld für die Getränke auf den Tisch und wir verließen das LOKAL. Auf eine Entschuldigung warteten wir vergeblich. Wir hätten gleich wieder gehen sollen, wenn Freitgagsabends nur 2 Tische besetzt sind in einem Lokal sagt ab sofort was."

"I was here for the first time and positiw surprised that almost 50% of the card is meatless: lenses,- kichererbsen,- sweet couscous dishes. the asmara veggie plate contained approx. 4 to 5 different vegetarian dishes of which (if I have not overlooked any ingredient) were actually all vegan, with classic the thin, rolled injera brot. is eaten with the hands, what the mood at the table massiw will I come back!"

"I must thank Mr Fröhlich and he has picked up and brought me back at low cost from the Kaiserslautern railway station. This service is unique! The hotel is great, the rooms very clean, you feel very comfortable. Very nice furnishings, bathroom and shower great! Breakfast buffet excellent! Couldn't have been the restaurant, noon or night, but the nose told me when I went down from the stairs as it went home, that must be good! A bus service is in front of the hotel, you can easily reach the city of Kaiserslautern! A secret tip! There are many tips from the Fröhlich family to get to know the surroundings. Thanks again! You're great!"

"This is by far the best food I’ve had in Germany (3years) the service was incredible, very friendly , atmosphere was amazing. We ate here twice in one day it was so good, we did lunch with two pizzas, my pickiest eater ate 4 slices of pizza , and then ate a full adult portion of lasagna for dinner. Wish we would have found this place sooner. The desserts omg, home made and amazing. Our group for lunch had pizza, tiramisu and a cappuccino and for dinner we had fettuccine pesto pasta, panna tortellini, shrimp dish , lasagna and baked Camembert . Highly recommend this place."

"I was recently in Kaiserslautern on business . I was traveling alone and knew no one in this area of Germany and no one to give recommendations on places to eat each night for the two weeks I was there. Not being familiar with the...area it was a challenge each not get to find a new quality restaurant. This place doesn’t look like much from the outside and the decor is a bit dated but the food truly was excellent. The service was typical for Germany, where eating out is more of an event so they were slow my American standards, but this is simply a cultural difference. Let them know up front if you are “in a hurry” and they’ll accommodate . If in Ktown for any extended time it’s worth the trip. It’s centrally located, so easy to get to"

"The restaurant is only a few years in the making. Some prefer it over the Catina Mexicana which is about 5 minutes away from this restaurant. I've heard more bad things as well as experienced with this restaurant than the Cantina. The food is fairly priced, the service is ok. Upside to the service is they have these wooden pegs that you stand up right when you're ready to order or need service....down side to that is, good luck if they see the peg upright after 10 min or so. The food is ok but lacks in a little more spice. Not as authentic in flavor as it should be. The atmosphere is nice but I feel if they spent enough money and time into making better food and service as they do to dressing up the place....it would be a total hit....in my opinion. The drinks are lacking in flavor and I feel like they ration alcohol in their drinks since some of the margaritas taste just like a smoothie. I give it a three out of five because it's easy to get a seat here with out reservations about 95% of the time and it works out great for a last minute decision / last resort restaurant."

"Adjusted 5 stars. The food or burger on the point. Meat juicy. You come in and the front area is more for the people who want to drink. The rear area returns its name Old Station. Ambience really great and beautifully equipped. We felt comfortable. Service must also be said TOP. People from Kaiserslautern are a must: We were at the outlet and came to the Old Station by chance: But come back Ivann. Muslim among us, meat is Helal according to the staff."

"Ok I ordered a salmon lasagna....but they tried giving me a pizza. So I got to wait a few extra minutes. Not a big deal. Finish my pomegranate tea my friends salad and my own salad by the time I lasagna actually got to me I was pretty much stuffed...over all beautiful open seating area. We sat at the bar type table with the tree. It is pretty loud in the open area.I liked the idea of to order Italian food but I think I might enjoy a more traditional type of restaurant.I will say that parking was free when I got to the restaurant...right out front. I heard the desserts were amazing, but I could not get one, I was to full from everything else I ate."

"Ordered food for delivery, came on time, was well packaged and hot. The vegetarian dish with the coconut milk sauce was good. The only thing I got to say about it was that the amount of sauce they put in there is absolutely rediculous. It may as well be a soup the amount of sauce that was in there. Their king prawns dish did not taste good and again TOO MUCH SAUCE. The white rice fried rice was pretty good. Bottom of my list if I had to order again."

"ja wie schon gesagt war ich seit langer Zeit wieder einmal im Quack gewesen. Wir waren nach einem Termin , freitags gegen 15.00 Uhr , zum Essen eingelaufen. Freundlicher Service aber das Lokal war leider nicht sehr ansprechend. Im Anbau links und rechts war Weiß eingedeckt aber wir sollten uns im Gastraum niederlassen.Scheinbar ist hier die Zeit stehen geblieben , denn das Mobiliar sowie die Heizkörper hätten etwas frisches nötig ! Doch alles egal wenn das Essen schmeckt. Die Bedienung hat uns die Tageskarte sowie die Menükarte gereicht und uns nach dem Getränk gefragt. Nachdem wir unsere Getränke hatte haben wir unser Essen bestellt , die da waren Rahmschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat und Cordon Bleu mit Pommes und Salat. Nach ca. 20 Minuten bekamen wir unser Essen an den Tisch gebracht und uns wurde einen Guten Appetit gewünscht. Der Salat war ganz gut die Pommes waren ziemlich blond und das Schnitzel/Cordon Bleu waren Fertigprodukte !Alles in allem waren die Getränke sowie das Essen befriedigend aber doch recht teuer. Leider passte hier nicht das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis , gegenüber anderen Lokalen."

"Looking back on this place, the best thing about it is eating in front of the pretty fountain. There are lots of people walking by too people watching at its finest! You know what, the food was really good too. However, stay away from...the Aioli Grande, here at this restaurant, it's just a clump of mayonnaise. Salads were tiny. The sausages, the schnitzel, the fish, the sauces, were all great. The price was a little bit higher than other places we ate, but I guess you're paying for the fountain setting. And that dreaded tax on every restaurant meal it just always bothered me all the way across Germany! The seven of us ate for €, so, even with the idiotic VAT... it comes to € per person... that's not that bad"

"Great fresh chicken fillet sandwich. Juicy and tasty. My Wife had the piece chicken and mashed taters. The mash potatoes are very tasty in the fast food way. The cole slaw is fresh and not bogged down with sauce. The fries were the only...weak point. And weak relatively. They were just basic. But the owner is nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this place."
