"This is a jewel of a restaurant! The food is outstanding. I have had Dolmado, Jacob Mussels (Scallops), Vongele, Mussels, Veal Scaloppini Limone, Weiner Snitzel, and pizza FCK as well as Margarita, They are all superb! We go there frequently. Most of the customers are...German and retired or older. We see the same faces almost every time. Freddo is a wonderful chef and Laura manages the customers, bar, and helps in the kitchen and makes it look effortless. She greats every customer as they come in through the door. She is amazing! The atmosphere is quiet and intimate. and during the spring and summer there is outdoor dining available on a pleasant patio."

Family run Restaurant , great food and a great place to sit down and eat in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Also good if you just want to grab a takeaway and go . Best Italian in the Kaiserslautern area on my opinion !

That being said, Thursday nights are Euro (CASH ONLY), so that's a huge boost in value. Food sometimes takes a while (half hour or more after ordering, with drinks sometimes minutes to get to the table), but the quality is always fantastic and...the service very friendly. Tonight was our first vist. We chose a table for two. Food was fair. My view was into the kitchen eventhough I told the waitress several times to please close the kitchen door it remained open. Between the noise of the vent and the noises...of pots, pans and dishes than later on silver ware, it was not a pleasant atmosphere. In a cafeteria I would have expected that but not in that restaurant.

This restaurant is near the family we were staying with in Germany. The dining room is small so we got takeout and brought it back home. We each got a salami (pepperoni) pizza. They were really delicious and it only took about minutes for...them to be ready. Our family in Germany says they get takeout from there regularly and enjoy it. I would recommend it to anyone who is staying in the Kaiserslautern area with a craving for good Italian food.
