"We love going out and eating well. “Today we know health presupposes that we can enjoy our food, take time for it, eat without bad conscience and be content with us. – Epikur or Platon the guest rosophy or the diet plan – it is best to philosophize with a delightful meal!” (quoted to Christine Brombach The surroundings of our enjoyable holiday trips should also be scenic for both of us. The Lübeck bay offers all this in excellent form – especially in Ostholstein. So we wanted to salute our lake stay with restaurant visits. In addition to staying with Kevin Fehling, we also wanted to taste Christian Scharer (2 stars and his kitchen. When we planned the trip in January 2014, he was still on the homepage as a chef. It was then Dirk Seiger (1 star ; for the A Rosa hotel group had changed its model. Almost everywhere in their homes “star cuisines” were closed or newly set up. So we could get to know another star chef and his new concept. Travemünde Beach Station is a few steps from the A Rosa Hotel. It is on the right side when you go towards the promenade. The Columbia Hotel is on the other hand. Travemünde therefore has star restaurants in the narrowest area – they are not even close to Baiersbronn or Bergisch Gladbach. When we entered the house, we had to orient ourselves first and ask at the reception for the way to the restaurant. We were kindly led to the entrance and immediately received from the service. The restaurant is on the ground floor. Some tables were already occupied and we were able to choose freely from the remaining places. The tables are generous and offer good conditions for discussions and service. The menu is printed on a large sheet and sealed with a seal. The restaurant manager Ines Effenberger worked very naturally and cordially, as well as her team, which consisted of two more powers this day. Each person was able to provide two guests alone and to arrange all necessary handles. This included: Cover the cutlery, serve drinks to the walk and set and prepare the dishes – often sauces were added at the table. The service was at all times high and exemplary. In all the changes, it is still French cuisine and also (not yet a pure “Fine Dining Concept” (which unfortunately is more and more common in bistro style, loud room acoustics and tight tables. But it will probably be a sommelier (a loss in my eyes will be waived and there will not be so much staff (it's fine for me; because I don’t want to be “observed” at dinner. But the powers radiate joy and the star chef Dirk Seiger visited us at the end of the table: a young sympathetic man with deed and style. The team holds together and delivered a great performance. From the map we selected the tasting menu (129 euros). The wines that are offered open are also on the bow. You can choose individual or take the complete accompaniment (60 euros). The greetings were presented in three arrangements. The dishes tasted very good and were deliciously dressed. We also like when bread is served as a loaf. Dark flour was used here, it reminded of fresh land bread with crusty crust. We tasted good. The first course was under the motto Tartar, meat from the Holsteiner Ochsen, accompanied by Ostseeaal, Red Bete, horseradish. There were dry Moselriesling from Schubert. The components were well seasoned and enjoyed us through the variety. The second gear also convinces by the opposite ingredients: Atlantic lobster, bloodworm, heaven and earth. It is common to combine many surprises at the time, but it also has its charm. From Knipser there were Sauvignon Blanc. The third gang consisted of Waller, Imperialcaviar, Celery and Beurre Blanc. This plate was “classic” in its ingredients and he enjoyed my heart. The Chablis was a tasty addition. The fourth course was the “Bäckchen” – I had already telephoned and inquired with the restaurant manager in advance. We have already eaten several times the specialty bakers and had not been happy with the consistency of the meat (usually infinitely soft and rice-like in the mouth. I can confirm that. This bake was the first one that really tasted delicious to me. My wife still chose an alternative (column jau . The fish was also delicious (we have exchanged and mutual “sampling” and were not “proven” from the local – our conclusion: the piglet has to be tasted. A really successful gang. The Pannobile by Heinrich from a huge doublemagnum bottle was excellent. I am a great “Heinrich Verehrer” since I tried his wines in Vienna years ago and was able to speak to the winemaker in the Cologne wine cellar at Hausmesse himself. The main course was the Bresse Taubenbrust with broccoli, bitter orange and Blue Mountain coffee jus. The meat has an intense taste and is buttery at the same time. It also reminded us of liver aromas. I still like this consistency, but my wife is not so much on this taste (see bakery, but Kalbsbries has always tasted us so far and was often a highlight of the food. The Winzer's flagship consists of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot – a classic Bordeaux Blend. The next course was the classic French cheese. The car is rich and every cheese friend is happy: sheep, goat, cow – soft to firm. The raw milk cheese comes from Waltmann from Erlangen (since I sometimes send a package of Comté or Brie, because you can also buy it on the internet. There was bread and mustard. Again and again the fun to get mature cheese. Late botteld Vintage by Graham ́s sweetened the pleasure. The seventh gang was called head salad. Passion fruit, olive oil and muscovado sugar were placed in a glass bowl and then poured over with the head salad, which was processed into a cream. The waitress gave the tip to take two photos at this gang, because before and after, very different pictures can be seen. In fact, it does not look so advantageous with the green hood, but the gang tasted deliciously through the various aromas in the sauces. There were Taittinger demi sec. The scent recalls ripe fruits, pear, some mango and peach with a subtle vanilla note and has a fine sweetness. Finally, as dessert, raspberry came with Kalamansi, Caramelia chocolate and Thai basil. The portion was lush. But dessert always goes. An ice wine from Kracher formed the accompaniment Den Espresso (3,20€ with fine snacks we did not let ourselves take. A more beautiful evening in Travemünde also ended after 4:30 hours. The restaurant has very high ceilings and a stucco decoration with classic shapes. There is a large lamp on the ceiling. There are large flower patterns on the walls. The tables are generously distributed. But the heat of the day was amazed in the room, because there were probably no functioning air conditioning during this time. In order to prevent the guests from getting air, the staff indirectly ventilates the guest area via opened windows in their own entrance. In the bar area in front of the restaurant, a “Modenschau” was carried out; the applause of the spectators was unfortunately good to hear and partly to watch through the windows in the doors. I assumed perfect cleanliness in this house and found it. The way to the toilet leads on the first floor and can be approached by an elevator. The sanitary facilities are located in the guest room area of the hotel. I don't think this is a happy solution. Ladies and gentlemen's department are side by side. The entrance is spacious and equipped with furniture. The toilet (possibly only one unit is also quite large, but karg (soap, towel equipped, but there is nothing missing. Conclusion The concept has fallen in many parts. The dishes were prepared at a high level. A visit is worthwhile. With the La Belle Epoque, however, I don't think it can compete."

"Short description: Unfortunately very disappointing! Operation 4 stars, Ambience 3 stars, Eating 1 star, Toilets 1 star.... The Greek restaurant “Hellas Taverna” is located at the end of the street “Herrendamm”. We travel with friends, parking on the free parking of the sports centre. The restaurant awaits with a room with about 10 tables of different sizes; in an adjoining room are further tables and chairs. The ambience: The ceiling reminds me of a Chinese restaurant, the furniture of a village agritourism, the walls with many photos of a bar... In short, at first glance, I do not find myself in a Greek restaurant. On the tables are bright yellow table runners, candle with it and a mini bass of about 5 cm size with Greek motifs; Väschen is also everything that concerns my attention in Greek design. What is more important: some light bulbs/lamps in the room are either out of function for cost reasons or they are simply broken!? The menus, immediately brought by the service, promise the usual suspects: grilled meat, fish, salads, desserts... I decide for the number 20 chicken breast fillet from the grill with roasted vegetables, tzatziki, patates and small salad supplement at €10,50. My three companions choose other dishes. The drinks are served very quickly, we wait for a beaten hour for our food and the restaurant is only half loaded... At first glance, the food still looks delicious, at second glance I notice that the fried vegetables are missing. While I still refer to the lack of vegetables, Mr LUT reports abundant salty patties and our friend points to a black-charred French and half a raw piece of meat on a spit. My friend mentions chewing hard, never eating so hard and dry gros. If the operation is in the auditorium, I mention the missing vegetables. He regrets, offers me an espresso as a accusation. Thank you, honey, but I'd like the vegetables. He goes and I actually expect the delivery of the vegetables... I'll wait. Unfortunately, this was not the end of the flag bar – one of the two small fillets is not fried, partly still raw, a fact that completely spoiled my appetite in poultry. Each of us four leaves a part of the food on the plates, extremely hard gyros, the black upper and lower part of a frying band, the raw meat piece of the spear, the raw meat of the fillet, some salted patates... And while we wait for the service to ask for the bill, I will make a visit to the ladies' room. In the front area it is bright, in the rear area much darker. Of the five radiators over the six toilet cabins, 3 are defective. Unfortunately, in the half-dark, I notice too late that no toilet paper in the box in the cabin I picked up – just good that I have a clean bag towel... As it belongs, I wash my hands, hold them in front of the sensor and expect a paper towel that should actually roll out of the donor. Don't do it – the donor is empty! Looking to dry toilet paper in the other five toilet cabins? No, thanks. With wet hands and annoying mood, I return to the table. We share all four of the service in friendly but also clear words our disappointment. The man is obviously uncomfortable, he has the mistakes that others have bleededed out. In view of the remaining remains on the plates with their clearly visible defects, he only offers us to calculate the beverages. We accept the offer, but we would like to have paid more and had a culinary evening for it. The service deserves respect. The man was sovereign and accommodating with the misery. Maybe there's a second chance with a later update."

"the restaurant athen has been there for many years. at first we were very satisfied, then two to three times less and now we are after approx. 2 years of Athens-Pause the first time to be here again. we have a table for the early evening. as it is most beautiful summer weather, we offer a table on the terrace. the reception by a heart is a bit bumpy, so in passing it indicates free tables as we kindly welcome him and ask for our reserved table. wooden partitions between the tables and flower dowels loosen the overall picture somewhat and convey a certain cozyness. the chairs are made of red plastic braid, on the tables are red table runners, on which are small glass vases with white purple plastic flowers. quickly the menus are brought by a friendly young lady. I'll put it on – and one side slips on my feet. my mother-in-law hasn't had so much luck, one side slips on the floor. I crawl under the table, pick up the side again and look at the map more closely. crack here and there, the formerly pretty food card has come into the years that you can simply call it as a shame and in redemption. we are four on the go and none of the four cards can be called attractive and intact. there is urgent need for action, because the menu is, in my opinion, considered a visit card of a restaurant. we choose four different dishes. I decide for souvlaki with rice and tzatziki for 9,50 €. On the way, an salat is served, consisting of crisp iceberg salad, which is located a little bit of herb salad and decorated with a few turbulent mtubes. the salate is fresh, but has nothing of a Greek salate. that eat tastes very good, we are all some. the meat is consistently tender, well seasoned, the tzatziki creamy and tasty – we have no reason not to give 5 stars for the main meal. a ouzo is served at the cost of the house – thanks beautiful! the desolate menu gets from me only 1 star, the female operation was nice, flink and courteous, has earned 5 stars, the male operation however made a somewhat “brummeling” and wordcargae impression. I also don't like to give the outside ambience more than 4 stars. all in all I forgive 4 good stars."

"short description: my pizza 4 stars operation 5 stars environment 4 stars price / power 4 stars. in the lübecker old town is the restaurant gusto, where I was invited to a birthday party. it offers – according to the website – “read it Italian cuisine from classic to modern, high-quality Mediterranean compositions, exquisite wines and authentic hospitality”. we enter the restaurant shortly before 18 o'clock, look at an old, dark and odoury besen from the green age, greet and ask for the table reserved for our society. the service shows a fairly covered table: all in white tablecloths, teller, fabric serviettes, candles in high lights. with chalk blossom in glass bowls, glitterblow best corner and water goggles. all very delicious! the white-washed walls of the old town house fall a huge mirror and a regulatory eye in which I press past to take a place on one of the padded chairs. ups, there is the regulatory side, I stay almost hanging on the good piece. here everything is a bit tight. (the tight also causes that speere, drinks and then the dirty honor must always be over the table or through, a circumstance I find somewhat disturbing. after we have taken all the place, the service with the menus will appear immediately. also these are very tasteful. appetizers, pasta, pizza, fish, meat, desserts, suppen, salads, children's dishes. all that the heart or the same desire. I'm sorry that I'm filled with perlhuhnbrust or lamb or jacobs – I decide for a pizza digestion (small, cheese, tomato sauce at €9.50 and a pinotgrigio 0.2 l at €7 (a pretty intense price, as I find – the bottle costs €23 zanderbble filet, salt on the missed ips. However, there are small spoons or cuvert knives missing so that everyone with their own large knife must be long in the very small dipping bowls. You could do that better. the dips taste me. the broth reminds me of the first happy back – I had expected differently or better. after a reasonable waiting period, the food is served. the pizzaesser get extra sharp knife, the fisherman surprisingly not fish cut, but that is also not necessary because it is a trench-free fish. all foods look very tasty dressed, large portions, visually a highlight and also tastefully I hear from the round only well. my pizza is rich and colorful filled with tubs, champignons, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, velvety and green asparagus, and I find the broccoli sticks and the small pieces spasm a bit too little too. in the middle of the pizza enthralled a huge mountain rucola, in my eyes too much of the good. I drink an espresso, tasty, but unfortunately without the usual glass water in a good Italian restaurant. a piece of cantuccini and a packaged bag sugar are next to the beaker. all in all I give good 4 stars."

"Short description: Ambience and menus 5 stars, food and service 4 stars....... The Ristorante Diavolo is located in the heart of Lübeck's Old Town, directly opposite the Marienkirche. Unfortunately there is currently a large building site vis à vis the restaurant and the view is not really nice, so we decide for a seat in the back, somewhat lower part of the restaurant. The welcome is friendly, friendly and since we are the first guests of the early evening, we enjoy the full attention of the employee. The ambience is tasteful, various large wooden tables, heavy and comfortable chairs, bright yellow table runners as well as fresh flowers and candles on the tables, not too much and not too little decoration, a place on two levels... We like it and we give 5 stars for the ambience. The menus are also very beautifully designed, as well as new and paving antipasti, pizza, pasta, meat, fish, desserts, children's menu and many drinks; it should be something for every taste and thus 5 stars for the menus. Fresh bread and a delicious bathroom are served in the mood. Unfortunately there are no bread plates so that we violate the label, do not break the bread into pieces that are right to the mouth, but bite it off. No matter, it tastes best! My girlfriend chooses Chianti 0.2 l to 4.50 € and zanderfilet, rosemary salads with lemon cream sauce plus salad at 14.50 €. I decide for a Valpolicella 0.2 l to 3.90 € and a pizza digestion at 8.50 €. My friend is very satisfied with the taste, but finds several approx. 3 cm long bones that the cook had to feel and remove during decay. My pizza is covered with fresh vegetables such as tomatoes, paprika, mushrooms, onions and zucchini, but it tastes a little fade so that I get back to health. I am more a person who eats little salt and when I re-salted, then definitely too little salt was used. Finally, I order an espresso to € 1.90 very hot, strong and good. All in all we award 4 good stars for our food and wine. The young waiter is very friendly, but commits a disturbing fauxpas by taking salad and essayer away from my friend, hardly the cutlery out of her hand, while I still have several bites of my pizza before me. It's quiet to the table and it doesn't have to be! Another point that is disturbed was the absence of a fish cutlery for the zander fillet. 4 stars for operation.... Please note the very informative website that informs you about the changing lunch table."

"New discovery with acute repetition. After a long afternoon full of events and appointments, my husband and I tortured me a hunger. On the fragrant march towards downtown we went through all the possibilities of a fast meal when our view of this Indian restaurant was just before the Koberg. Practically there was a menu curtain on the facade on which we were immediately attached, we entered the restaurant. A friendly waiter greeted us and left us the choice of the place. A table at the window told us that we went out and studied the map again. The decision was made quickly: Naan Bread with Mango Chutney on the way, a mixed grill plate and vegetarian Malei Kofta including rice, with Mango Lassi and Cola. It wasn't much on Tuesday at 7:00, maybe normal. My curious view wandered through the room, the furniture seemed simple, but welcoming and clean. It is worth mentioning that the approached kindness that all operators are broadcasting. There was a pleasant scent in the air that further increases our appetite (if possible at all). After a short time, the nice waiter brought the drinks, and soon afterwards followed the steaming Naan bread with Mango Chutney, three more sauces that he explained to us and warned before the sharpness (very attentive). Gierig like starved locusts we fell over the appetizers and enjoyed the pleasant spices of Mango Chutneys. Also the other sauces convince with the best taste and oriental spicy aroma. Our waiter served the main dishes. The meat of the mixed grill plate still crumbles, so fresh and hot came the dishes from the kitchen on our table. My Malei Kofta was in a small copper bowl on a rechaud and smells so wonderful that the water ran in my mouth. A large bowl of Basmati rice, refined with spices, came to him, then the food was prepared. The waiter wished us a good pleasure. Everything looked very good and fragrant. Eagerly we have filled our plates to sigh very happy after the first bites and make each other necessary to try. The food was very tasty and saturating enough when we were afraid it could be too little. but in the end there was something left that best has no place left in our belly. My husband paid the bill (40 € incl. tip), the friendly waiter brought the obligatory mukhwas, a colorful digestive aid consisting of fennel, anise and other undefined grains, which gives a good breath after intense chewing. We left the beautiful place and slew pappsatt home. Conclusion: Very likely to return to the lunch table, which is served on weekdays until 5 pm."

"short review: tasty, but small pizza, friendly service – and yet the evening did not run round! 3 stars with a lot of potential. it is Friday evening, best meal shortly after 19.30 clock, when we are in the la casa, an Italian restaurant in an old villa. sitting on only one of the 8 tables and as no service is to be seen, we sit on a table for two people and wait. and wait. time for a look in detail: slobby lighting, terracotta-colored walls, matching table runners, small tealights with flickering light on the tables, paintings (landscapes, still life, flowers near the walls, which are provided with price tags and offered for sale. then finally a very nice service appears that menus that have a lot to offer: antipasti, fish and meat, pizza and pasta, salad, desserts. the text is not as good as it can be seen, as first the lighting is weak and secondly the individual pages are stuck in labye clear envelopes, which unfortunately are all but clear. a decision is made quickly. I choose my body and magenta food, vegetarian pizza (9,50 € – here called pizza verdura – and in small pils (0,3 l to 2,70 €) and wait. in the meantime 40 minutes have passed since the pizza order, my dear hangs in the knees, I am impatient, the clock shows 20.30 and we are hungry! the guests who have appeared after us are now almost ready to eat while we are still waiting. how heart lut wants to stand up after need, the service appears, apologises with many beautiful words, they have overlooked the order form. After another 10 minutes we finally get our food. the pizza is a little small, but it is filled with fresh vegetables (brukkoli, paprika, wobbles, mushrooms, tomato). the floor is rough, there is nothing to complain. Finally we order espresso, very strong, very good at 2,50 € per piece. an eject of the order should certainly not happen, but can happen once. but if such a thing happens, it would be appropriate for me to offer an espresso or a grappa as a small repair, simply as a sign of apology, good will and generousness, especially because it was a time-intensive delay. the pizzas, although small, tasted good, the service was friendly, but that when entering the permanently empty restaurants went well for 5 minutes until an operation appeared on the picture surface, we felt as disturbing as the long wait for eating and then talking kinky. 3 stars, with ach and crow, more did not come together during this visit."

"Reservation online was easy, but the restaurant stay was unfortunately disappointing. It started that we were placed at a very gracious table right at the entrance but you can't do anything first. We were then, after a short time, at a table in 1. OG set, but we were warned that it was also cold and gigantic. We asked to be re-placed as soon as another table was released. We were assured. However, several other guests who came after us were placed at very much warmer tables. We were put to a table without a draw air for a renewed demand for the second of three courses. There were also blankets that produced a pleasant warmth. On our demand, why we were not supplied with blankets at the beginning of our stay, we were told that there were not enough blankets. The boss told us that because of the Corona pandemic and the associated loss of income, they would have to pay attention to a sufficient occupancy of the tables, the turnover must be correct, so that tables that are somewhat colder and exposed to the air are also occupied. The food was unfortunately also overly long. It took 30 minutes until we got a card, then it took another 15 minutes until the drinks were served. After two hours the main course was served! That's decided too long. A guest at the neighboring table, who came after us two hours, had received his three courses within 60 minutes and was finished with us at the same time. 30 minutes wait until you can place the order. 2 hours waiting for the main course. Zugiger Platz, missing blankets for heating preference for other guests. Never"
