"It would seem my last review, admittedly a while ago went unnoticed,so again i have to take issue with this establishment over their flexibility on menu requests. I ordered tandoori mixed grill consisting of lamb and chicken Tikka pieces. This restaurant continues to serve my...favourite dish without any accompanying sauce. Served such, it is a verh dry dish only accompanied by some fried onions. As on previous visits when i'm on holiday from Scotland, i requested a separate chargable sauce. They've given me it before but on this occasion refused point blank. I couldn't believe it. I ended up with a Lamb tikka masala in a sauce, very nice but not what i wanted. Ok there are many dishes on the menu and the food is excellent but my request was anything but difficult .Because of this total lack of customer service i did not enjoy my dining experience tonight. Others not wishing a mixed grill will have no problems i'm sure. At home an accompanying sauce is mandatory with Tikka dishes as they are dry. What is the problem if you are willing to pay for an extra sauce??? This really needs addressing but probably this review will be ignored also. for food quality for customer service and i'm being generous."

We had lunch cheap and really good food. Paper and pens so the kids could draw while waiting. Recommended

Friendly staff but food tasteless. Vindaloo not at all hot, all chicken dishes not marinades, sauces very bland. Rice lumpy poorly cooked. Only plain nan, no other types

I was very pleased with this restaurant. The food was great and tasty! Also not expensive for the quality of the food. I have no bad thing to say: food was good and tasty. Very helpful staff and the interior was also nice

Excellent friendly and quick service. Food was very good. I can recommend both the lamb saag and the dal which were both tasted as though they were prepared with good whole spices. A good option was also having the choice of either rice or naan...bread inclusive in the price View menu

Me and my girlfriend went to this restaurant for some dinner. The food was pretty good not the biggest gastronomic experiece, but authentic. It looked like the mom ran the place and everytime, she had a break from the kitchen, she ran around to all...the tables to say hello and asked if everything was okay

We went here during the busy Christmas Marked times, and got a table despite not having reserved one. We were greeted by a very nice lady and show to a table a the back of the restaurant, it was nice and quite there the...front of the place was full and a lot more noisy. They have the typical selection of Indian food, and prices seem very fair. The food arrived quite quickly after we ordered. We had Chicken Curry and Butter Chicken, both of them were very good. The staff checked in we us a couple of time to hear if everything was to our liking, or if we needed anything. They take credit card, which is not always the case in Germany. All in all we can recommend the place, and would go again i...

"Luckily, Lübeck's old town is by no means poor at individual, perhaps even family-run cafes, which are not only branches of one of the dominant bakery chains, but also provide a much more personalized hospitality with their uniqueness and charm. I have already reported about a few, and in this collection, the Cafe Hansehof cannot be missed. The cafe is hidden in an inner courtyard that can be reached via the Wahmstraße. This location alone makes the cafe a secret tip for locals who long for a quiet time away from the crowds of tourists in the warm seasons, which of course come to the more exposed cafes. In addition to many seating in the inner courtyard, the interior located on two floors also delights the guest with a very lovingly designed interior, which has a lively and unique effect mainly due to many antique furnishings. This impression is also reflected in the mind of the operator pair. At lunch in May 2017, when I visited the Cafe Hansehof, the house owner Petra Roos took care of the service. The familial hospitality that she radiated on it immediately leads to a feeling of warm welcome that illuminates the mood and makes the stay all the more pleasant. In a nice conversation, I also learned that by 2015 she had already run a restaurant called Remise just a few houses away. After the termination of the lease, she (luckily for us Lübecker) remained the queen of the Hanse and has now found a new permanent place for her gastronomic heart project. In addition to cakes, breakfast arrangements and sandwiches, it is mainly an offer of many different hearty and sweet pancake dishes, which the Cafe Hansehof has written on the flags and has also become its flagship in Lübecker Gastronomy. These dishes also made me aware of the restaurant and should of course also be my food of choice. In the high north it certainly does not seem unusual that I chose a pancake creation with reference to the sea: a salmon pancake filled with smoked salmon, sour cream, fine apple slices, rag onions and some cream merrettich. (Please click on the picture to see it in the whole. I apologise for the not exactly good quality) salmon pancakes, filled with smoked salmon, sour cream, fine apple slices, rag onions and some cream horseradish. It was already noticed at the first touch that there was really thought about the composition and the court and this was prepared with just as much heart blood. The pancake dough was not too thick or too thin and made the filling tasteful space. There was no ingredient in this, but everything complemented each other in a very good relationship. The smoke aroma of the salmon, the light sweetness and acidity of the apple slices, the slight sharpness of the horseradish, the freshness of the Sour Cream and finally the bite through the onions. Only a small pinch of salt and maybe a few additional (maybe Dill suitable for salmon) would in my opinion be missing for a completely perfect composition. Even at the end of my visit, Fr. Roos concluded this with her great cordiality. After an interesting conversation about the pancake creation and their idea of specializing in such pancake dishes with the cafe, she actually didn't want to accept my tip because I was such a nice, friendly guest for you. Of course, I insisted on wanting to reward them for this great time in their cafe, but nevertheless: How often do you find such a hospitality nowadays? I just wish the Cafe Hansehof all the best and continued stability and success. I strongly recommend that everyone be convinced of the hospitality and the quality of food they have lived here. The cafe definitely deserves to be more than just a secret tip in the Lübecker Gastronomy ."
