"Terrible. If you are vegetarian and want the lunch menu they will give you rice with vegetables . By vegetables they practically only mean broccoli (and by broccoli they mean the stalk of broccoli, hard and inedible), 2 almost invisible slices of carrots and 2 small pieces of courgettes. All for 13.50 fr? A robbery. 7 different types of meat/fish options, but not even a tofu or protein vegetarian option that justifies the price of the dish. Never again will I come here. If you are looking for vegetarian options on the same price line (but more generous portions) for lunch I recommend Kind Thai in Besso or the new Vietnamese in Molino Nuovo da Sung."

Ich habe im Restaurant gegessen und beide Male bei zwei Gelegenheiten war wirklich sehr zufrieden mit dem, was ich entschieden haben. Ihr Risotto mit Spargel und Ricotta ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!Die Angestellten sind professionell, aber auch freundlich und zuvorkommend.Eine tolle Erfahrung und auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert."

"Wir haben uns vorgängig über gute Restaurants in der Gegend informiert. Schauten uns auch hier die Bilder, Bewertungen und Preise an und dachten, wir werden hier sicher ganz gut zu Abend essen. Als wir ankamen fiel und sofort die relativ unfreundliche und inkompetente (wollte halbvolle Getränke wegräumen und konnte mich nicht über Wein beraten) Bedienung auf. Wir wollten aber darüber hinwegschauen, jeder kann mal einen schlechten Tag haben. Als wir aber die Speisekarte sahen, mussten wir gleich zuerst mal leer schlucken, für Prosciutto e Melone, welches wür uns teilen wollten, wurden 28. verlangt. Als der Teller kam, war er bestimmt zu einem Drittel mit Melonenschalen gefüllt, die man nicht essen konnte. Zum Hauptgang bestellte ich einen Teller mit Cozze e Vongole und da ich gerne im Urlaub mal Cozze esse, freute ich mich sehr darauf. Sie waren in Ordnung. Dazu wurde getoastes Pariserbrot serviert, wobei ich dachte, dass ich mir da einen Zahn ausbeissen werde, da es so hart war. Im Endeffekt waren wir mit unserem Besuch da nicht zufrieden, Preis Leistung stimmte überhaupt nicht! Das beste jedoch war, ca 2h später wurde mit extrem übel. Was danach folgt ist ja klar, die Nacht verbrachte ich beschäftigt auf der Toilette, eine Lebensmittelvergiftung wegen den Muscheln."

"First encounter on the phone was extremely dismissive and rude, she asked me how old I was, thinking I was a child and she said she will not take our order simply because she did not understand what was being said. Had to repeat the address 6 times and even then she did not understand. Simply horrible staff. I do not recommend. *As a 23 year old adult, I am old enough to order alcohol, which we DID NOT even order, we attempted to order fried rice (amongst other things) which we had to repeat 6 times as well as she did not understand what we were saying. We called ONCE and were so rudely dismissed. Clearly no experience or understanding of hospitality if this is the way you reply to customers. Thank you for the tip but as you can imagine there will be no next time."

The kitchen is always maintained and the wine proposal is original, as the bottles on the list are not all present in the cellar. The quality/price ratio is stable on acceptable levels, perhaps on this occasion the level of the room has been somewhat affected by the great heat and crowding, which has not little affected precision and punctuality at the tables. "Als wir Lugano besuchten, fragten wir einige Freunde, welche Orte für ein kleines romantisches Abendessen gut seien. La Serra war eine der Optionen. In der ersten Nacht waren wir leider voll (was normalerweise ein gutes Zeichen ist , also kamen wir am nächsten Abend zurück und Mann, bin ich froh, dass wir das gemacht haben. Als wir eintraten, fühlten wir uns wie eine Art Oase (die Instagrammabilität des Ortes ist offensichtlich . Es hat eine Stimmung, die man nicht wirklich in Bilder übersetzen kann, wahrscheinlich wegen ihrer Musik; Ich musste mich schleichen und fragen, ob ich die Wiedergabeliste haben könnte, während ich auf dem Weg zur Toilette war (was übrigens wie aus Architectural Digest aussieht ...! .Roberto war unser Kellner. Er half uns beim Navigieren im Menü und wir richteten unser Augenmerk auf die Käseplatte und ein Wurstbrett als Vorspeise. Es wurde alles aus der Region bezogen, und vor allem die Fleischseite war köstlicher, als wir dachten, dass das Tessin es bieten könnte (ich denke, die Nähe zu Italien hat seine Vorteile ... . Danach hatte ich ein langsam gekochtes Rindfleischgericht, das göttlich war (wahrscheinlich der Hauptgrund, warum ich jemals eine Bewertung abgeben würde . . . Ich meine zart, saftig, genau die perfekte Menge Umami. . . ! Meine Frau hatte einen mediterranen Falafel-Teller, der sehr gut war (sie versucht, ihn vegetarisch zu halten, aber nachdem sie den Mundglanz meines Rindfleischs probiert hatte, war ihr Neid spürbar ... . Wir beendeten mit zwei Schokoladenkuchen, die wirklich köstlich waren (die Präsentation war eine Fortsetzung der Stimmung der gesamten Erfahrung, wie in einem gehobenen Restaurant in LA, aber richtig gemacht und ohne Anmaßung . Nur eine großartige Erfahrung, die im Tessin, besonders wenn es um Stimmung geht, oft fehlt. Ich bin froh, dass wir unseren Instinkten aus der Nacht zuvor gefolgt sind und zurückgekommen sind."

"I 've been to lots of irish pubs in my life and I do have a pretty good idea what to expect from them. The Trinity does not really fulfill that. The decor is very sparse, there 's hardly any pictures, no carving in the wood, no decorative lamps, etc. it really seems to be empty, you don 't feel the love for the location. The top floor is also where the kitchen is located, whereas the bar is on ground level. So top floor is not recommended, the smell from the kitchen is pretty heavy. First time we 've been there we went just for drinks and it was a really busy night. Working the counter myself from time to time, I know what this means. But still, the barkeeper hardly ever looked at me, despite me sitting directly in front of him on a stool. Ordering drinks was almost impossible and I even had to wait for several minutes untill I could pay for them. Not good. Second night the pub 's been much more quiet, which was alright for us, so the service was better. Unfortunately the food was lacking behind. While looking quite tasty, the meat in the burgers was dry, most likely due to the quality of the meat, because it was not overcooked. But it wasn 't juicy, which was a real shame. In addition, the fries aren 't homemade, but at least they were crispy. You can 't save the ambience without investing a lot of cash. But you could surely improve the meat and maybe get a second barkeeper for a busy night, because the experience was not great. My only reason of considering to re visit, would be the beer, 'cause the selection is quite nice."

"Wir reservierten das Restaurant zum Abend vor unserer Hochzeit für 50 Personen, und kamen mit dem Boot von Lugano. Wir hatten ein 3-Gänge Menü, was absolut köstlich und sehr gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis war in CHF44 ein Kopf. Der Wein, den Peter uns empfohlen wurde war köstlich und sehr günstig. ABER, es war Peter, die aus dieser Abend etwas Besonderes! er ist so ein Showman, von uns mit seinem loudhailer vom Restaurant Terrasse, das wir seine Beschreibungen das Essen kam war er über zu bedienen. Es war ein perfekter Abend, genossen von allen, und auf jeden Fall begannen unsere Hochzeit in der perfekte Weg!"

"Walking past the outdoor dining tables, Gran Caffe left the impression that it would be a peaceful and probably relatively inexpensive place to catch our evening meal. When we did circle back, a woman there warmly greeted us. As I was considering the menu, she conspiratorially informed me that she would suggest a starter dish that would teach me about Swiss-Italian cuisine. It turned out to be a mediocre ravioli dish. The thing is, she selected the same dish for my companion. Wouldn't she opt for something different, if she was interested in teaching us about the cuisine. The suspicious part of me got to wondering if this choice wasn't based on profit margin or harder considerations as much as it's culinary quality and if her warm, maternal schtik might not be a role she'd perfected for tourists. Or, maybe I'm being paranoid! But, forwarded a is forearmed. The risotto with lake perch was good; the wine she selected went well with the fish. But the $140 tab was The largest amount we have spent on a meal and I would say that the whole experience didn't justify a tab of that magnitude"

"The lunch I had here with my family is just the worst ever. The Pork Cheek Spaghetti Carbonara was grounded so many ways that it borders the ridiculous. The pasta itself was about 3 minutes short of al dente raw. The pigs... cheeks weren't pigs at all, but a weak bacon. There was no parmesan in the sauce, which also lacked an egg, but was made with cream. Not exaggerated this meal. I tried all the others' food too. The pizza wasn't the worst I ever had, but it was definitely bad pizza anyway. The pasta of my wife with tuna and avocado was a disgusting mess of tuna and brown avocado chords. The fact that this court was freezing should have mentioned the menu. On a positive note: the drinks were cold and the location was nice."

"We were walking around Lake Lugano and thought we 'd drop into this lovely (on the outside McDonald 's for coffee and a snack. The view of the lake from the tables was pretty, even in the rain. Please see photos. But, as I waited in line to order, I lifted my phone to take a picture of the interesting menu. All of a sudden, the dark-haired lady behind the counter, Italian-speaking, no English, started shaking her finger back and forth at me and yelling, NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! (I lost track of how many NO 's she shouted at me...wow. Whoa...what the hell? Too bad for her, I was taking the photo as she started in on me and am happy to post it here. We got our snack and left, but I must say she was absolutely the rudest person I met in our two weeks in beautiful Switzerland. I suggest eating in a more friendly restaurant while in Lugano."
