"When you can get food its fantastic but the last 4 times I've tried to order takeaway or collection then app or website not working or the payment system is down. Last 2 times because I know how good the food is I have gone to the shop to order and collect and both times staff less than helpful saying the wait is too long so I have left without food. I'm sadly giving up, despite really wanting to order from them regularly, they haven't made it possible never mind easy. I'm Gutted It's been a long time but I keep thinking about how good their food is so tried again tonight. Placed an order on their app. the order confirmed it had gone through and gave me an authorisation code. Wait 70 mins not ideal but at least I knew before I ordered. Over 2 hours later I phoned only to have them say they hadn't received my order. I could order over the phone but it would be an hour wait. No apology, no trying to speed it up as their app had failed and already waited 2 hours, so once again no food for me. That really was (disappointingly) the last attempt at using them. So silly, they need to sort out their app and customer service. Thankfully, despite the app telling me it had, it had not taken any money or it would have been a very different conversation going on."

"We discovered this pub when visiting to watch the Morris dancing one evening. It has loads of atmosphere, with low ceilings, cosy rooms off the main dining and drinking area and a tiny bar which is approached on two sides. It's a very friendly, welcoming place, with a good selection of local beers, and as we wanted to support it we decided to come back for dinner the next evening. Would definitely recommend booking a table as most if not all were full quite early on on a Friday night. The menu isn't huge, but there is a specials board with a lot of choice we ate venison stew which was hot, hearty and very filling, leaving us with no room for pudding. Portions are very large! The pub has a car park, but there is room in the roads nearby. Dogs are welcome too."

"Lovely range of good quality homemade food. Great butternut squash and carrot soup And toffee pudding was worth every calorie . Very attentive serving staff. Room was well spread out for Covid until a party of 10 arrived and all sat together. Very hard for staff to split them and adhere to rules. This made me feel quite uncomfortable. As we were just leaving it was fine. However overall we all had a delicious fresh meal and we will be back for sure Even got 30% off due to a promotion !"

"Second time staying here for our stop over before our flight. We love the Dundry Inn, such a lovely little pub and we find a great way to start our holiday. We had food this time and it was delightful. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. The only problem again was the showers, they’re like lava or freezing. We are now expecting twins so I fear it will be our last time staying but not our last visit. The two trips we had have given great memories"

"Our experience at the restaurant tonight was disappointing due to the poor quality of the food. Upon arrival, we were informed that there was a shortage of items due to a busy lunch service and a missed delivery on New Year's Day. It would have been helpful to know this when making our reservation so we could have planned accordingly. Despite being provided with a list of unavailable items, we ordered what was still available. However, it became apparent that not all issues were disclosed to us, as the dishes we received did not match their descriptions on the menu. The focaccia was not as described, the Bruschetta lacked its usual ingredients, and the burger buns were of lower quality than expected. Although we tried to be understanding of the circumstances, paying over £200 for a meal for six left us feeling disappointed. Charging high prices for reduced quality food seems unfair to customers."

"The waitress was very kind polite but often slow at taking our orders. We waited 15 minutes after being seated just to order drinks. When the food came out one of us ordered fish and chips and was given scampi, which he was quite disappointed about but didn’t want to cause a fuss and send back to the kitchen. Charging £17.50 for a mixed grill I would expect a large portion for being one of the most expensive things on the menu but unfortunately it wasn’t all that! After being almost forgotten about after our desserts came out we had to hunt down a waitress to ask for the bill. Which she very reluctantly got for us, it almost seemed a chore for her by the look on her face! Reluctantly we paid the optional 10% service charge on the bill."

"This is a true gem of a pub! It's rare to find a place like this nowadays. The staff greeted us warmly and were very friendly and helpful. The food was top-notch quality. One thing that stood out was that they offered a roast dinner every day, not just on Sundays. They also had a great selection of local ales that perfectly complemented the meal."

"the booking was made to lunch before two or three weeks here, it has much colder, surprised to get a table in the garden space, clearly busy. our table for four was the next door, which serves as the main entrance. the room itself is heated, but the entire meal was pampered by the door opening and closing, worse than the people kept it open, the two of us sat at the end constantly shimmering, not big. as with most places there might have been problems with the personal, as the menu did not include starters. we have all decided to eat, all were very good, especially the bark that is rarely served. everything was well seasoned, cauliflower cheese is an extra that is unusual and for the part quite expensive for what it was. we had gloomy, crumbs and sticky toffee pudding, not sure whether to be hot, but were served lukewarm. the service is added to the bill, this is clearly stated. we like this place and have met the family here before, just a scandal over the cold."

"I have been a regular patron of The White Hart since 2017 and have always enjoyed my dining experience there. I was excited when the restaurant was able to reopen, so I took some friends there for lunch last week expecting to dine inside, as they had emphasized their Covid preparations. However, to my dismay, we were informed that we had to sit outside with no other options available to us. The Manager's attitude was surly and unhelpful, which was a stark contrast to previous visits. It felt like we were inconveniencing him. Due to the cold weather and circumstances, we decided not to order desserts or coffee and simply went home. I will not be in a hurry to return to The White Hart and will definitely reconsider taking friends there again. Overall, I was left feeling extremely embarrassed and disappointed by the whole experience."

"Oh dear. Utterly disappointing. Broken glass lined the walkway from the carpark and empty drink cans decorated the path to the main entrance doorway. Not the greatest first impression. We were really looking forward to dining at this sizzle pub which looked really nice from it 's online presence. We ordered the sizzling grilled chicken and the Boss burger. After a long day 's hike we were famished and eagerly awaited our food. We were eventually served a non-sizzling chicken saturated in oily veg and a burger that did not have the signature mac 'n cheese! As per branding, any non-sizzling dish will be replaced, and I mentioned to the server as she placed it on the table that it wasn 't sizzling and the reply was that 's how it comes, some sizzle, some don 't , and she walked off. This was the most disappointing meal out of our whole camping holiday. We would not eat here again or recommend it."
"Walked over from Volksfest in Long Ashton. Sadly looks to have been closed six months. Nobody in car park was a bad sign, though signs to say it's closed down would have helped too. Seems a shame, looks a lovely spot with a great but overgrown garden. Atmosphere: 2"
"Sunday Lunch our party had been looking forward to our get together and booked a month ago for the table upstairs, which we were told on arrival was no longer available!!! No apology! Wasn 't a great start but were accommodated downstairs which was fine. Next we placed an order and paid for a large round of drinks. The guy behind the bar poured 2 then disappeared leaving six of us without drinks when we realised he wasn 't coming back we had to ask another member of staff to finish serving us! Again no apology! The food Had to ask for extra gravy and again for sauces/mustard which the waiter begrudgingly brought over two tiny pots for the whole table!!! The same size portion was given to a table of 2 next to us! We gave up asking for more. The food itself was just nice , Yorkshire Puddings were over cooked and the Pork was all fat and very little meat it wasn 't enjoyable. Beef tasted ok but have had better. Overall the pub itself is really nice and we all had high expectations but all said and done, I would give it another go but not for Sunday Lunch. I would have expected the staff (and there were plenty of them) to be attentive and more willing to make the customer experience a pleasant one. Maybe they 'd had a long day who knows but in hospitality you can 't let this show in front of the paying customers especially when you 're collectively spending just over £400! To be fair I shouldn 't be taring all the staff with the same brush but can only judge on the service we received."

"We have visited the Star on several occasions as it is convenient location to meet with family, it is not the best but does represent good value. However the pub is tired and could do with a re-vamp. The reason for my review is to draw the managements attention and our dissatisfaction and annoyance to having to listen to a dog barking the entire time we we there, this is the second time we have experienced this. We could see other diners were fed up with it too. The dog was with people sat by the main entrance, we we barked at on our way in and our way out. There is a garden around the other side of the pub which would be more appropriate place for it. It really is unsatisfactory."
"Wow, Sian Powell Gary Berwick have made a great job with this extensive refurbishment of The Poacher. A free house that was first licenced neck in 1683 and has seen many owners. It finally became known as The Poachers in the 1970 's. You really must disregard any reviews before it 's relaunch on November 24th 2018. Review date: 13th December. Friendly staff, good beers and some great looking food. The interior is bright, clean and very welcoming. Gary and the staff at that time made you feel at home. The menu has a good selection to choose from but I had had to choose the 8oz rib eye steak cooked medium rare, and I must say, I was very impressed with the quality. It just fell apart with hardly any force at all. As a note, medium rare is just that, a lovely pink colour. The plates even came out pre warmed and the chips were double cooked. Very enjoyable with the rich creamy peppercorn sauce. But, a picture can tell a thousand words, so here are a few I took. It 's well worth the visit. Regards D Happy Christmas."

"We staggered down in the snow last weekend, and came across this lovely restaurant. There is a larger Indian a few doors along but this more intimate setting and the menu appealed more and we appreciated the quieter seating. We both ordered unusual dishes from a special section of the main menu, my father had a delicious honey chicken dish with a beautiful rich and creamy sauce with very generous amounts of meat. I ordered and thoroughly enjoyed the butter chilli vegetables main, which had a lovely depth of flavour. The tarka dall was lovely and thick and full of flavour, which applied to all the dishes we tried. The Kingfisher topped it off nicely. A great find."

"Poor service, terrible drinks (Aperol Spritz barely orange coloured and tasted like soda despite defensive manager waving the spec sheet at us and claiming it was the 3:2:1 mix) and under cooked food. Won't be returning, despite the brilliant patio and balcony."

"I have visited this restaurant many times before, however, I was very disappointed with my experience tonight. My king prawn butterfly was overcooked and dry, making it inedible. The chicken Dhansak that followed seemed to have been reheated from the previous bank holiday weekend, as it was extremely dry with no moisture, typical of a reheated dish. When I called to express my dissatisfaction, the gentleman I spoke to did not deny that the dish had been reheated and mentioned the challenge of heating the butterfly dish properly in the microwave. Although the other two meals we ordered were satisfactory, my own evening was ruined by the poor quality of my meal. If I choose to return, I will make it clear that I do not want any dry or overcooked/reheated food. If this issue occurs again, I will no longer patronize this restaurant after years of being a customer for both dining in and home delivery."
"We met friends from Devon for lunch on Sunday 17th September and The Salthouse did us proud. Our guests were a little late, due to the awful weather and being first time visitors to Clevedon. but the staff were very welcoming and patient at a very busy time for them. The carvery was delicious and plentiful, with a lovely selection of vegetables and the service was great. Not The Salthouse 's fault but, due to the terrible weather and being late, our visitors parked in the main Clevedon car park in error but their 'phone picked up Ringo 's app which they paid but they were given a parking ticket. When they appealed at North Somerset Weston office, staff said 'oh, this happens all the time ' but the fine was upheld! Come on, North Somerset Council, show a little sympathy to genuine mistakes made by strangers to this area."

"We went to this pub for a Sunday roast with my in-laws, two young children, and our dog. The restaurant was extremely welcoming to children and pets. The roast dinner was absolutely fantastic! The portions were very generous, especially the children's roast. My kids, aged 6 and 3, had plenty to share. We will definitely be coming back again. Additionally, the pub has a charming garden area that both the kids and dog enjoyed."

"We had a family meal at Coates House today. All our meals were of excellent quality there has been a distinct improvement in the food since the last time we visited family in the area and ate here a while ago! I had a fish finger sandwich, my husband had a steak sandwich and my parents chose the full breakfast and one pan brunch dish. We will certainly come back next time we are visiting the area : Thank you!"
