"Everything Harry says in his review is largely on the money: And don 't just take his and my word for it: This restaurant has about 800 ! reviews on Tripadvisor, almost all of them hugely positive. Who knows why Yelpers have stayed away, except that they 're apparently ig 'nant? Tropicana is off the beaten tourist path, it offers excellent value for your euro, and the service was phenomenal. The restaurant 's in a storefront in about a mile down the Ave. Málaga from the Plaza de España area, in a modern residential area, so it is somewhat out of the way for tourists. For us, getting there was a pleasant 20-minute walk on a beautiful evening. It 's been quite awhile since we there, but I do remember that the food was excellent, expertly prepared and creative. We shared a perfectly crispy fried spring roll of sorts filled with robustly-flavored braised oxtail that was seriously delicious , wonderful marinated anchovies, and morcilla served over nicely fried potatoes and topped with a poached egg, and a pickled padrón? pepper onions. For an entree, I had an octopus arm that was about as big as a baby 's forearm and that sold for only 16 euro great value! ; can 't really remember the accompaniments there, but the cephalopod was very nicely grilled. All of this stuff was terrific and robustly flavorful. My only complaint--and maybe part of the blame should be attributed to our ordering--was that everything was cumulative extremely rich--very heavy, with some items doused with perhaps a bit too much olive oil. Our server, who was the son of the chef, was as good as he could be. He spoke superb English didn 't even give us a chance to work on our Spanish, which had improved a bit by this late point in the trip! , took pains to guide us through the menu, and was just great all-around at his job. Decor-and-ambience wise, Tropicana is a bit of a puzzle. Obviously, the name suggests a Latin-American vibe, and aqua-ish color scheme, smooth surfaces, and clean-lines did, too. It almost seems like a Miami -themed restaurant, but then the food seems much more Spanish/European. Either way, it 's comfortable and sharp-looking enough."

"Si no sabes dónde tomar unas cañas y unas buenas tapas en Ronda, te recomiendo ir a Casa Mateos. Una cocina riquísima, acogedor, el personal te trata de lujo, hace que te sientas como en casa. Nosotros pedimos unas burguer de ibéricos y de rabo de toro, pastelito de atín, molletes de choricitos al jerez y revuelto de champiñón con langostinos. Totalmente recomendable. El camarero que nos atendió fue de lo más amable y risueño con nosotros. No dejéis de ir."

"They were fast but the pizza dough was sosa (the salami spicy was very good) and it is unforgivable that a salad of almost 10 euros is so ractical. If you charge the salad the same face as the pizza that you expect to be able to take it as a unique dish, and if it's not because my wife gave me a room of her pizza I would have been very hungry. I won't repeat it."

"El Restaurante Casa María está ubicado en un lugar ideal y cuenta con una agradable terraza sobre el arroyo Endrinales que bordeando el recinto se funde a escasos metros con el arroyo de Las Hoyas para dar origen al nacimiento del río Madera. Isabel, la anfitriona y propietaria del establecimiento nos obsequió al grupo de amigos que participamos en el almuerzo con un recital gastronómico basado en la cocina tradicional albaceteña compuesto por atascaburras, ajo pringue, migas, careta de cerdo, gazpacho manchego, judías con perdiz, huevos agarraos (que ideara su madre),venado en salsa y diferentes postres. Todo muy rico y bien preparado por la estupenda cocinera que la acompaña en los fogones. Gracias Isabel por el buen trato dispensado, variado menú ofrecido y su buen saber estar, que propició el que pudiéramos disfrutar de una estupenda velada."

"Good bar to eat tapas in Ronda. It is small better to reserve. If you go with older people, as was my case, let us know first since most of the tables are at a height. We did not do it, but even when the grandparents were sitting on a high stool we were very comfortable. Very attentive waiters. I went with my daughter who is Celiac and they treated her phenomenally, very attentive to the issue of cross contamination and with her, they adapted the tapas she requested without problem. It's nice to find bars that offer gluten-free options. All the delicious tapas, but the spectacular px sirloin croquettes... "Orson Welles ate here. Ernest Hemingway ate here. I ate here. Pedro Romero has an amazing location, immediately across the street from the Plaza del Toro, just a few steps away from that mind boggling bridge. After several days of tapas, my fiancee and I were looking for something different. Thankfully, Pedro Romero had it. Their menu is quite large. I had the solomillo de buey (25 € a steak fillet that was cooked perfectly as requested. It came with awesome potatoes and peppers. It really hit the spot. With a couple glasses of wine, our lunch for two came to 68.21 €. Service was excellent. There were plenty of blue haired American tourists yakking it up in loud English, not even trying to speak Spanish and the waiter kept his cool. I think we got points for at least trying to order in Spanish. The decor is awesome. You're basically eating in a bullfighting museum. There are tons of pictures of bullfighters and a few bull heads on the wall. It's very busy, but it feels authentic. They're not trying to be something they're not. These guys just love bullfighting and they want to display their heroes. I may be pushing up the rating a bit because of the restaurant's history, but that's part of the reason you drive to a place like this in the middle of nowhere. I will think of Pedro Romero fondly."

"This meal was one of the very best that I've had in Spain. We got the boquarones to start which were great. The real stand out of the meal were the next two dishes: fried egg, truffle and jamon omg. This was unreal. The flavor was phenomenal and I didn't want it to end. I almost licked the plate it was that good. We also got the octopus which was amazing. This was seriously some of the best octopus I've ever had in my life and in the mountains of Spain! I would never have guessed it. The last dish was the pork cheek which was so flavorful and tender. We also got the fried custard rolls which were fantastic. Overall amazing meal and definitely one that I will remember! Highly highly recommend."

"Out of series. The entire menu is typical dishes with a signature feel and it is a shame not to be able to try everything. In the kitchen they have perfected the art of textures, everything is at its creamy or tender point. The croquettes are essential, one of the best in Spain. As an extra, fast and correct service. Se aprecian los matices de especias, pero no son excesivos. La pastela de pollo es superior. Totalmente recomendable. La pena es que esté tan lejos de mi ciudad y no pueda frecuentarlo más a menudo. "my partner and I had dinner there last night, we called the desperate because we found no place where he could dine (it is celiac) despite them wanting to close prontito for being Sunday, they waited for dinner, when they arrived they treated us in a close and familiar way without leaving aside professionalism. We asked for two cups of wine, delicious, offered us the options out of letter, we chose boletus cream and chestnuts, we still dreamed of how good it was, while we waited they offered us bread of the earth with oil, the surprise was when they pulled homemade bread of gluten-free people for my partner, really made us a lot of illusion. Second egg campero with ham and truffle, exquisite, the third dish was chorizo criollo to the brasa, spectacular. desserts were exceptional, apple pie with vanilla ice cream and rice mousse with milk. all great, it was a pleasant surprise since my partner because of his condition of celiac can never eat well on the street and last night could try everything.Quick attention, we do not wait between dish and dish. "Llevábamos tiempo observando y siguiente desde redes sociales , enlazado como Siempre por los reyes de la almadraba @Gadira .El sitio no defraudó , comida japonesa de primer nivel , chef con dotes sobrehumanos en la cocina , Enrique concretamente ! Un genio.Aparte de la comida japonesa , comimos una carne madurada “Lomo bajo de Frisona” realmente bien ejecutado , cerveza muy fría , postre excelente y un ambiente correcto con personal muy cercano y amable. Hemos recorrido 2h de coche para comer y no ha defraudado. El precio para lo que hemos comido 5 personas , con la calidad y el servicio no nos ha parecido nada caro , al revés . Muy aconsejable para personas con buen gusto."

"We stopped for a bite after we were approached for parking. You can pay 10e and park all day. If you eat there you get 10e removed from your bill. We shared a tomato and tuna appetizer that was so delicious. I had venison tenderloin with truffles and my husband had roasted baby goat. The food was delicious. "Somos de Tenerife y estábamos de vacaciones en Málaga. Fuimos a Ronda para conocerlo...y vimos en una plaza varias terrazas para tomar algo.. Nos sentamos y pedimos unos pinchos, ensaladilla, gambas y un montadito de chorizo, estaba espectacular calidad precio. Cuándo nos fuimos a ver la muralla y los alrededores decidimos volver para almorzar ya que vimos su carta , nos gustó y de precio muy bien., se lo dijimos al camarero que nos atendió y nos dijo q sin problema, q diéramos con él . Fue todo un acierto la verdad, tuvimos q esperar un poco porq estaba súper lleno, y cuándo ves que están comiendo gente del pueblo y alrededores sabes que has acertado. Mientras esperamos podía pedir algo de beber y tomarlo tranquilamente sentados en el muro de la plaza. Comimos muy bien. Gazpacho, alcachofas con jamón que están deliciosas , calamares con guarnición algo sosos pero nada q no se pueda arreglar con el salero), agua , un tinto de verano , postre casero y un café. Todo 35€ . Recomiendo totalmente."
