"I highly recommend the beer, the clientele, and the food/snacks at this restaurant. Don't expect to always get the correct change, but that just adds to the excitement. They do serve ham, egg, and chips, just not on Wednesdays or weekdays, so be sure to do your research before getting upset. The cheese is delicious, and if you happen to split your pants, they will even repair them before you leave. What more could you want?"

"Honestly one of the tastiest roast dinners I’ve ever had! Disappointed they didn’t have chicken I settled for pork and glad I did! Absolutely lovely food, crackling, Yorkshire, greens and creamy cheesy leeks. No apple sauce or parsnips but I’ll forgive you. Yummy roulade for dessert. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is the service was very very slow. We weren’t in a massive hurry but it took 45 minutes before our order was taken... will definitely return though! Very good price for an amazing roast dinner in the area."

"I bought a tasting menu voucher for two as a birthday gift for my partner. We called ahead of our reservation to confirm that the voucher was still valid and to check if we needed to bring anything extra. Unfortunately, we had to pay an additional 20% when we left the restaurant because the prices had risen since the voucher was purchased three months prior. We were not informed about this price increase until after our meal, despite having called to confirm a few days earlier. The news was delivered in front of the entire dining room, which made us feel pressured to pay. It was very disappointing to be treated this way at the end of our evening, especially considering the food was lovely, albeit quite experimental and expensive."

"This charming traditional pub offers a fantastic atmosphere, real ales, and delicious Sunday lunches at reasonable prices. The friendly staff and locals create a welcoming environment, and the diverse menu throughout the week is appealing. With separate seating areas, guests can enjoy a comfortable meal without feeling crowded. The pub is easy to locate and is dog-friendly, with staff who genuinely adore canine companions. Additionally, there are scenic walks nearby, making it a perfect destination for a day out. The sight of a horse tied up outside was an unexpected but delightful addition to our visit. Overall, this pub offers everything you could possibly need for a wonderful dining experience."

"have made some brilliant experiences here since the new beautiful owners have taken over. we took our 3 young children to ruck huh in the Caribbean night all were super friendly and helpful, all the covid regs were reasonable at location and place, but in a very welcoming and organized wise. the food was really served fast (excellent when with young children) and we all had empty teller in no time! was also there for a few beers with friends and had the extremely ingeniously loaded fret. so much care and love is taken over what they do and how customers they can feel these warm as soon as they are there. so, so good to this pub as our local (even if it is not the next for us it is worth the walk!)"

"Located conveniently near the Railway Station in the heart of town, Cafe Max was a pleasant surprise for me and my twin granddaughters. We had come from Gloucester for a train ride and stumbled upon this popular spot. The girls enjoyed a Children's Meal of Cheeseburger and Chips, while I opted for a Chicken BLT, which was generously portioned and delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even when the girls used up all the ketchup sachets. The prices were reasonable, the food was of good quality, and we left feeling satisfied. I would definitely visit again."

"An unexpected revelation , very friendly welcome from behind the bar and shown to our table with drinks following promptly . A short but we’ll thought out menu that looks after all diets . A hearty bean sausage soup was packed with warming flavours and served with wonderfully warm fresh bread . A warm goats cheese chargrilled med veg focaccia had top quality ingredients with an excellent salad . Interesting selection of wines and beers and finally a perfectly presented short black americano . A really good atmosphere from a local crowd at the bar just added to a well spent Saturday lunch catching up with friends . Many thanks to all . At The Corner House ."

"We made a last minute booking for 5 people on a Saturday night. We'd never been before but wanted to take my elderly in-laws somewhere for dinner while they were staying in the area. The food was fantastic but what really stood out was just how caring and wonderful the staff here are. They went out of their way to accommodate my elderly father in law who has poor mobility. They were so friendly and good humoured about it that my mother in law was reduced to tears as we left!"

"friendly pub with many comfortable seats. plastered “Profi Pub” vibe and the pizzas on Friday and Saturday night are incredible. they do vegan (then gott because wotton is short on good vegan food) and they are absolutely shy. dog-friendly with a massive glass fiber girilla in the beer garden. what is not to love?"

"We treated ourselves to a takeaway from this Chinese. The Food Standards rating in February 2021 re hygiene etc was 4 but I think they need to revisit. The strips of chicken in my Chicken Cashew dish were very thin and were weird looking, crinkled shapes. They tasted of fish and were a little bit slimy too suggesting that they had been stored in water and at an insufficient temperature for some time. After trying two mouthfuls I just had to throw the rest away. The chicken balls were OK but the rice was not the best either. In these Covid times, we were not happy that they would only accept cash payments too."

"This venue is excellent; we come here for lunch regularly, even though we live 60 miles away. Whenever we are in the Stroud area, we make sure to visit for a delicious meal. The food is great, the service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is friendly. I would highly recommend it."

"Popped in for a late ish lunch on a Friday afternoon. Not much on menu that was suitable for someone who's intolerant to gluten, could see no alternative options displayed and there were no jacket potatoes left just after 1.30pm all of which seemed surprisingly disappointing compared to other similar places I've been. Didn't feel very welcomed and almost like we were a bit of an inconvenience even though the place didn't shut for hours. I'm also pretty sure that the upset tummy I developed 3 hours later was down to what I ate or drink there. The decaff coffee tasted and looked awful like hot water had been poured through a filter paper of already used coffee grounds to eek it out. We were on a tight schedule so didnt feel inclined to wait for a replacement and I just put up with it, which I'm now regretting. The food was simple and nice enough but something was definitely off. Husband enjoyed his sandwich and was fine. Like to support local businesses, especially as times are hard, but won't be returning, sadly."

"After taking a stroll on Minchinhampton Common, we made a much welcomed stop at Henry's Bakehouse Cafe for brunch. Our family and furry friend were greeted warmly and seated inside, where we were promptly served water as we perused the menu. We decided on a variety of dishes, including a delicious plant-based avocado toast, a vegan cheese and sausage toastie, a bacon and egg roll, and poached eggs with bacon on toast. Everything was delicious, and the coffees were excellent as well! Our dog even received some treats. It was a lovely, cozy spot to refuel and recharge. We also bought some pastries and cakes to-go. The staff was friendly and provided great service. We will definitely be back!"

"First of all entering the restaurant, you had to push the door with force which would be a struggle for someone in a wheelchair. When greeted upon entry, the staff didn’t welcome you in with happiness and was like miserable. The atmosphere was dull with no music like the other lounges I’ve been too. When our food arrived we asked for some ketchup and they gave us it in a plastic tomato which looked like it had been there for years. Whilst eating our food, two of the staff were stood staring at us and walking past continuously staring. The food was sub par and been left to lose heat for some minutes. Going to the toilet, needed a flashlight to go and wasn’t cleaned properly (Needs sorting out/ H&S risk)!! Staff need to buckle up on customer service skills and look like they enjoy their job and want to work there. I’ll not be returning to this poorly ran establishment!"

"I recently went to this restaurant for dinner with a friend, and my family and I also come here occasionally for a delicious Sunday roast. We absolutely love their roast dinners! The staff always take great care of me as I have a dairy intolerance, and I appreciate how accommodating they are. The pub itself is charming, the staff are friendly, and the food is fantastic. It's also pet-friendly, so it's a great spot if you have dogs. I highly recommend this place!"

"Quality little pub with fantastic views of the Woodchester valley, food was excellent and timely, and good selection of drinks too. Staff are helpful and friendly and plenty of tables available. Parking can be tricky as there is no car park but would definitely recommend Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
