Wow, what a lovely restaurant! Super friendly staff, and fabulous food. We would definitely recommend, and we will certainly be back.

Great choice of food, generous portions all well cooked in home style with careful presentation. Nice atmosphere and friendly owners. Prices are reasonable.

We thought we'd give Efes a try and so pleased we did. Staff were so friendly and helpful and what can I say about the food, totally delicious and I seriously can't remember when I had a better meal and we do eat out quite a lot.

Our starters were lovely but our main dishes were a letdown. Mine was a lamb casserole which was barely hot and not very tasty. My husband chose Kkeftico which he also found to be a let down and not the Turkish delight we had both anticipated. Our waitress was very pleasant and the ambience was nice but food left a lot to be desired

We had cold meze starter plus mains. Efes is a fantastic traditional Turkish experience in Stroud. For me, it was best chicken Iskinder I have ever eaten. We chatted with the personable business owner and chef, and together with a knowledgeable waitress, the working duo made our night very special. We will definitely return to this gem.

Went out for a meal after work, popped in to Effes, we had the mixed cold meze, and the hot meze, between 3 of us, it was all great, the saucek was bar far my favourite from the hot, but all the cold were all great. The humous was outstanding. Main courses were all lovely had the iskender this was really quite big, and very filling. Accompanied with a Greek salad, nicest salad I’ve had in a long time. The waitress/ hostess made our evening great fun, really informative about the food. All in all a great night out.

Went to efes grill for the first time last night with my husband. The food was absolutely amazing, the salads were so fresh, the hummous was incredible and the falafels were insanely good. As someone who has eaten a lot of falafel and hummous in their life, I feel like I’m well versed in knowing a good one! The service was also incredible and the owners are so friendly, welcoming and chatty. We tried a Turkish red wine for the first time and it was such a lovely surprise and upon finishing our meal, we were given some delicious pistachio Turkish delights too. 100% will be visiting again and I’m definitely going to take my family when they come to visit next! We went for a evening meal for the first time without the kids in quite a while. Ideal for couples and small parties groups etc. Real authentic music and décor including the menu. There were so many items we liked from the cold and hot choices, we had one of the sharer mezes one hot one cold Slightly greedy but it's meant we got to try pretty much everything. All were really well made, tasty and by the time we finished we were worried we might not be space for the mains. My partner had a lamb kebab I had the kleftico Kleftico was cooked to perfection and just came straight of the bone. I was lucky enough that when my partner became full so I got to try the lamb donor as well which were beaut...
