"I am disappointed with my experience ordering through Sunderland Eats. I ordered a chilli con carne with chips and a bacon and cheese panini, but received a chicken curry instead of the panini. The restaurant said to call back tomorrow for a free replacement, but my partner does not like chicken curry so we will have to find somewhere else to eat."

"The staff member at this restaurant was extremely rude for no apparent reason. When we attempted to order a drink, she told us we couldn't have it and demanded to know what we wanted instead. We politely asked for some time to decide, but she was visibly upset. She walked away before I could ask a question, and when I approached her, she was defensive and disrespectful. I simply wanted to inquire about a refund for the two drinks we were charged for but didn't receive. Despite her initial promise to refund us, I later discovered she had no intention of doing so. She returned shortly after and aggressively pressured us to make a decision, even resorting to childish behavior when we hesitated. She seemed intent on pushing bottled drinks on us, creating a very uncomfortable situation. It was clear that this woman had some serious issues and was taking them out on innocent customers. It was a strange and unpleasant experience that left me questioning the professionalism of the establishment."

"No card machine onsite so had to order through Just Eat. Got home and realised I had been given the wrong pizza. This was changed when I returned it but an inconvenience. also, why such a massive difference in prize on Just Eat and in store? Unable to chose half half pizza on Just Eat. Staff were great but the overall service wasn't great! Thanks"

"Family night out. Food delicious . We all had different starters and main meals. Every meal was lovely and the presentation of the food was so eye catching. I had king prawn starter followed by chicken and prawn done in a bisque sauce , it was amazing , the others had mussels , cod bites, and potato skins followed by lamb with melted in your mouth, steak, and chicken done in a leak sauce. Staff were really friendly and helpful, well done to Chef and kitchen staff, we will be going back . 10/10"

"This restaurant is a great spot for grabbing a pint. The atmosphere is decent too. I visited in the evening and would like to come back for lunch or an early evening meal. The rock night was a fun time and the cocktails were reasonably priced. Overall, it was an excellent evening. Price per person typically ranges from £10 to £20. Service was rated a 4 out of 5, while the atmosphere was a 5 out of 5. Can't wait to return!"

"on Sunday, when I and my daughters wanted to treat my husband to the father's day. such a fantastic experience has not only got all these dads a tasty bite, but the breakfast was incredible. we wouldn't have asked for a better tomorrow on the day of the father. the personal was especially great, as it had to do with many big groups. can not wait to visit again. "The portion of moussaka was quite small for the price; it seemed more focused on presentation than flavor. It really needed more seasoning—perhaps some cheese or black pepper would have helped. My partner ordered the aubergine dish, which had a more generous portion but also lacked flavor. The fries were cut into small squares and were quite long; however, they were cooked nicely. The waitress was friendly and attentive. This review is an update from the previous one dated June 6, 2022."

"order online for pickup. went to pick up was said that it wasn't ready, told I would wait outside, give me scream when it was done. 45 minutes later, wait, but see the delivery people go in and out. it was ready, old, got a bag with iron eating and no refund if I hadn't already paid online would have gone away. no apologies that both young boys are more interested in seeing that I was outside the old one of myself didn't even stand out until I quit. will not reuse food was mist service was mist"

"During our visit to see family in the area, we dined at Carter Fitch three times for dinner and drinks. The food was exceptional, particularly the delicious cheese board which paired perfectly with a bottle of wine. The handmade pizza was also fantastic. They offer a good variety of wines as well. The staff were all very friendly, with special thanks to Matthew who provided great service on our visits. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant."

"It had been over a year since I ate in The Cooper Rose. I was shocked at how different my most recent experience was. After struggling to find a clean table, we picked a sticky one that had dirty cups on and moved them aside. We noticed that the side area next to the table was full of dust (everywhere was dirty). There was a queue as the place seemed understaffed, the poor guy behind the bar was rushed off of his feet. When I was finally served, I was informed that the Pepsi was from the fridge. I assumed it was an individual bottle but it was large bottles of Pepsi poured into pint glasses, this was annoying as it was still the same price. I did feel sorry for the bar man as he had grief for this (from others) and it was clearly not his fault. After ordering food a waitress approached our table and literally threw down our cutlery onto the really dirty side of table beside the used filthy cups. She said, “I dunno who’s having what?”Without giving us a chance to speak she slammed both plates down on the table and immediately turned her back and walked away. I was shocked at the lack of manners and inability to do the basic requirements of her job (she never returned to ask if we needed anything, or how the meal was either). The food was unsatisfactory. One of our meals was a cheese panini and we wondered if the kitchen had run out of cheese. I honestly couldn’t believe how appalling our visit was and will definitely not return."

"We went to The Scullery Sat 27th April. A party of 31, we had pre-ordered, but added an extra to make 32 when we arrived which wasn't a problem at all. I can't say enough positives about our evening, from the minute we arrived until going. The service was outstanding and the food superb. To get 32 meals out all freshly cooked together was fabulous. Very attentive staff, it was a fantastic evening. We were in the area for a sports tournament and unfortunately live 4 hours away otherwise this would definitely be the go to place for my family. Personally had Smoked Salmon then Seafood Pasta...wonderful flavours and great portions too. I'm not one for leaving reviews normally but this had to be said!"

"Went today for for a refreshing drink with friends and family... the reports on this establishment have been a mixed bag.. never the less after-my friends waited an eternity to be served we then ventured inside to order ourselves, as we had been watching our dogs... we waited patiently in line in a que whilst 6 staff behind the counter mostly dragged there heels.. the girl serving coffe continued to pick scabs from an open wound on her arm and I wish at that point we had left.. however when asked for order a clearly intoxicated man behind us jumped the que and tried to order ahead of us... to cut along story short we where polite in requesting to be served next but where refused and asked to leave... an exchange of abuse from the drunk man ensued and he was served another alcoholic drink so we all left the establishment... food and coffee tasted by friends when asked said very average..never again,... appalling service and considering a complaint to the liquor license board and police.. seems if your not a regular you are second class"

"amazing quality eating, very clean, excellent service, staff well worked under pressure could not do enough for them. "Had not been to The Snow Goose for quite some time, then visited twice within 2 weeks. Really like the Toasties here, plenty of filling and served with a fresh crisp side salad. My Husband ordered Welsh Rarebit with bacon on the top, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We were served by friendly staff and did not have long to wait. The prices are very reasonable considering you are on the Marina. I agree with other reviews regarding the car park. There are plenty of signs around and as long as you enter your car registration number in the machine located outside The Snow Goose, you will get 2 hours free parking."

"My family and I have just eaten in this restaurant and we all agree it was absolutely outstanding. We were a party of 15 and literally nothing was too much trouble. We had a mix of starters and mains, including halloumi fries, potato skins and bruschetta. Plus pollo cordon bleu, sirloin steak, plaice and pizzas. Everything was served hot and with a smile and all the food was delicious. I was really impressed that all of the food came out promptly and at the same time and drink orders were taken throughout the meal. The staff were very attentive and pleasant and I will be recommending this place and 100% visiting again."

"Stopped off for a coffee whilst my Brother, Boyfriend and I waited for our bus and tbh I wish I hadn't a cold, drafty and damp bus station would in hindsight been a better option. I ordered two cappuccinos a black coffee carrot cake and two chocolate muffins. Apparently this was completely confusing and I had to order drinks and food separately. I repeated my coffee order (twice) was asked twice if I wanted chocolate on then the assistant apparently got confused at the token system. I then again repeated my coffee order. Then the ordeal of ordering cakes. Which I in the end had to go and actually point them out. Then I had to point out not everything would fit on one tray. Then the assistant appeared to struggle with the till . Was stressed out as the queue was building. Coffee had an odd dry taste and the muffins were undercooked. I would not recommend."

"I have ordered delivery from this restaurant twice now, and both times the food arrived within the estimated time. The food is delicious, especially the masalla dish! Unfortunately, on one occasion our order was missing chips. When I called to inquire, the man I spoke with was extremely polite and offered to either deliver the chips immediately or make a note on our address so they would be included for free next time. Since the spicy chips we had ordered were too hot for me, I requested for them to be delivered later, understanding there would be a delay. Surprisingly, the gentleman I spoke with personally delivered the chips himself! It is rare to receive such exceptional service, especially on top of the amazing food they offer."
