"On reading the reviews I decided it was best to book a table and this proved to be advisable as it was very busy. On entering it was very hot and busy. I had asked for a quiet table and this was provided, however it was Table 11 which meant waitresses going behind you to get crockery etc and diners using the facilities. The chairs were a bit low for me and seemed to skid quite easily, however they were comfortable enough. The service and food was excellent. We were looked after by a couple of waiting staff, all very polite and helpful. The drinks order was taken first, hubby had a non-alcholic beer, our friend had an Appletizer and I asked for a GLASS of dry white wine, unfortunately however as it was so noisy that waitress must have misheard and a bottle with three glasses arrived. However when we pointed this out, no problem, the waiter was very apologetic and just took them away and came back with the correct order. We were there for a celebratory meal. We decided to have starters and opted for the sharing platter of what was really a sort of charcuterie platter. All very nice, but quite large for a starter. For our main courses my husband had the Homemade Lasagne and I opted for the Milano Betulla's (a chicken, mushroom, onion and pasta dish). Both were delicious. I don't usually opt for anything with onion in it, but this was good, just enough onion to give it crunch and flavour but not too much. My only comment is that the portions were HUGE. Personally I would have preferred to have had half the portion with a small salad to accompany them. I had to leave half of mine. Our friend opted for one of their pizzas. This was a good size and he said it was one of the best pizzas he had ever had. Hubby and friend decided to go for a dessert, of the cheesecake of the day. They said it was nice but way to chocolatey for them. I was too full but needed something to cool me so had a dish that had ice cream where you poured espresso coffee over it and that did help with the digestion. All in all a very pleasant experience and I would recommend, but would advise booking, especially during the holiday seasons."

"This restaurant is a literal dive, we had four meals, a sea bass which was like cardboard, overcooked very small and tasteless, combined with fried that were inedible this meal atrocious. We also had vegan ragù, this was a lentil disaster, the pasta resembled something that I can only describe as mash with a ‘sauce’ that had no identity at all, you couldn’t even pick out a single flavour. Yet another, disappointment from Zizzi. None the less at least we played it safe with a pizza, Right? Wrong. The sticky pig pizza was quite literally fit for pigs, the base was burnt and the pork toppings were rancid. The highlight of the mains was the spaghetti bolognese which actually had flavour and was edible, could I have made something a million times better at home for less, without a shadow of a doubt. But at least this was edible, right? I will however say that the starters were quite nice with the bruschetta not quite resembling anything Italian but was still nice and the caprese salad was also good. This was the highlight of our meal by far. The drinks were disgusting with the cocktails being more like shocktails, if there was even a single millilitre of rum in the pineapple cooler I would be stunned, the raspberry mojito had a bit of a kick but didn’t really have much in the way of a desire to consume. The general hygiene of the restaurant was poor with flies swarming the restaurant not a fly zapper in sight, the waitress leaning over our meals to grate Parmesan cheese with added hair to our spaghetti bolognese, the chefs with their chunic half open and the kitchen looking generally grubby. The aesthetic of the restaurant more resembled a Caribbean than an Italian, the chairs were extremely uncomfortable and the booths were comparable to sitting on a pallet. Overall I would strongly recommend that you avoid this restaurant with a wide birth. A McDonald’s would have been a better choice than this muck."
