Had the chicken and mushroom risotto had no flavour at all, was like eating a bowl of plain porridge

Highly recommend the Linguine al Gamberi. I've had numerous take aways from this restaurant since lockdown and used to attend the restaurant fairly regularly. Me and my husband love the food here.

Love this little place ...the food is always fabulous and good sized portions. The staff are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make sure your visit is perfect. And no rush to get you out...just a lovely relaxing evening. Thanks guys. View menu

My 3rd visit last night and once again was amazing. Food was delicious, service was amazing. I secretly asked the waiter if we could sing happy birthday to my mum and he couldn't of been more helpful. Also sanatizing his hands before and after taking a photo for me. 10 out of 10 from me

We had a take away from here last week and again tonight. The food was delicious. We had different meals and they have all been lovely, I actually had the steak twice and it was perfect both times. It was lovely to have the convenience of a take away but to have a real quality restaurant meal if you know what I mean.

We had our first takeaway from here, couple different pasta dishes, lasagne and a few sides. Great tasting couldn’t fault that at all, one of the nicest we’ve had in a while. Only fault I would say is that the pasta dishes were massive but the lasagne I could of ate two but for the price it’s a tad expensive for two. But other than that it was amazing. View menu

We go to this restaurant a lot as the food and service is always 10/10. It was my father in laws favourite restaurant but unfortunately we lost him to covid and as we couldn’t have a proper wake we decided to go here to celebrate him as a couple and the staff were so lovely, especially John, at looking after us and making the night as special as it could. Highly recommend!

We’ve eaten at Gambero many times but tonight was disappointing unfortunately. We both had Sirloin steak which was very tough and the sauté potatoes were leading towards burnt. Nobody came round during our meal to ask if everything was ok and when the plates were collected at the end and I said our steak was tough waiter just said ‘oh sorry about that’.Our meal cost £98 so very disappointing. Hopefully it was a one off.

Tonight was particularly special as it was Amanda's and my first dining experience with our grandson Reggie, along with Ronnie and Ellie. Although Reggie is only 3 weeks old and may not understand where he was tonight, it reminded me of when my father took me out for my first family restaurant experience over 50 years ago. It's a precious thing to pass on those cherished memories so that one day, Reggie can write about his experiences taking his own family out to eat. God bless us all. View menu
