"I never usually leave reviews, but I feel particularly motivated after my experience at villa marina. My girlfriend ordered the chicken and chorizo paella and I ordered pizza. Unfortunately the chicken in the paella wasn’t right, it was crunchy chewy and rubbery. It was inedible. I told the waitress that it wasn’t right and asked if it had been cooked properly, I was told that that is how the chicken is, if it wasn’t cooked it would be pink and I should Google it. She did offer to give us another paella meal, but she said it would be the same as that is what the chicken is like. She was very defensive and unapologetic which lead us to leave it and just not eat the chicken as we did not want to get ill. They did knock £6 off the £16 charge for the paella, however I feel this is not good enough and felt compelled to write a review due to the way that the situation was handled as it made the atmosphere very awkward and ruined our meal. The pizza and wine was nice though."

"After eventually being able to book a table thro you as the maitre d refused to take a phone booking- we got to the restaurant and had to wait 20 minutes for anyone to come to our table-I chose to have the set menu- the caponata siciliano starter was ok but the bread it was on was burnt to a crisp and the crusts were like rubber- obviously microwaved- the pink minute steak was like shoe leather stone cold as were the potatoes-the pan a cotta was devoid of any fresh raspberries. Very disappointed as I love carluccios and have been a regular for a long time but the whole experience was very poor and I will be looking for a new Italian restaurant near me"

"We were a table of 11 noisy family group on a busy Saturday night. The service was top class, our server Sophie couldn't of been of any more assistance, she was so lovely and very attentive! The food was absolutely delicious and everyone enjoyed every dish prepared! We also noted the choice for gluten free was superb...We had a most enjoyable evening at Adesso and will definitely recommend to others and return in future! "Disappointed and will never return. First of all when we go up to the bar to order the waitress and kitchen member arguing infront of customers. We made our order and got told a long wait for food although it was us and one other table eating as the restaurant was empty. Our food came and the waitress got our order wrong we asked for nachos and got chips but Partner didnt want to make a fuss so he ate them. I ordered a steak medium well and got it very well done and inedible. Was waiting for the waitress to come and do a check back to say about my steak but she never came back! "the vegan pizza here delicious they offer some toppings I feel that they can offer a bit more of a lot of options such as soy tempo meat like vegan paprika etc. the pizza box is great and the toppings they offer are fresh and delicious. they also have a very nice pizza sauce. they also offer a vegan desserts we had the chocolate cake. what they do not offer anymore. but they have now gelato and a vegan dessert calzone. the pizza is quite expensive, but it is restaurant eating that we take. if some on the main options like pizza hat and dominos offer a vegan menu, this will be better for the strange takeaway. but if they are looking for a delicious date night pizza, or so? then this restaurant is ideal for vegans."

"Went to this place twice during our week long visit, staying at Devon Cliffs/Sandy Bay. My photos show our bill, cod in lemon sauce, pork tenderloin, pork belly and the beef lasagne (in a massive dish I might add). There were 4 of us, despite what the bill says. We had beer and wine and 3 puds on this occassion with bread and oil to start. Mine was the lasagne with salad (and a side order of chips, not shown) it was truly massive and I couldn 't quite finish it. Very tasty meals and we found it easy to park on the Thursday we visited (15th June 2023), about 6.30pm. Highly recommend this place. It was clean and tidy, and the lady owner was very pleasant and chatty. Nice relaxed atmosphere with some 'oriental ' music playing in the background. On the previous occassion I had the paella special very, very tasty but again, it was massive and I couldn 't quite finish it (which is why didn 't have it the second time around). Dietary restrictions: Lots of options for my friend who needs gluten free meals"

"we came to whitehaven restaurant on Saturday, as family of four, and my older daughter, in the age of 12 is probably best described as food phobia. it has a very limited number of means of life that it will eat and everything that is unfamiliar is almost impossible for them to eat. with this very limited diet she loved margarita pizza, but fights with the tomato sauce when it is lumpy. She tries hard as she knows that her eating is disturbing for everyone, but she hasn't in the position, much progressed in the last 10 years since this beginning. at this opportunity she tried to eat the margarita pizza she had ordered, but it found difficult because the tomato sauce was a little too clumpy for her. we noticed and tried discreetly how she could wrap the meal when the waiter came by and so sensitively talked to us to find out if there was a problem. she wouldn't answer when she could say that my daughter was uncomfortable. when we explained the situation, she spoke directly with my daughter and asked her exactly how they like her pizza and they resurrected that she was perfect in her right to ask for the food as she wanted it. then she returned to the kitchen and a short time later she brought a pizza with much less tomato for my daughter. to live in ten years with this eating problem as a family, this is the first time that our situation has been treated with such sensibility and helpfulness. not only that, but eating was delicious! we are just sorry that we are only on vacation in the opposite direction, otherwise we would eat here all the time. this is undoubtedly the best service we have ever received anywhere in any restaurant."

"We are a Masonic Chapter, who usually dine in Tuttons, Covent Garden where when I was a member of Westminter Bank. latterly Lothbury Lodge, we dined here regularly: I have since Joined another Lodge, Three Banks, who dine after meetings in Tuttons Covent Garden. Due to a mix up at Tuttons, the booking was cancelled and the Secretary of the Chapter, had to rebook initially with a restaurant Boulervard Brasserie, but they had to cancel our bookin, due to a internal problem they had. So our Secretary booked with the Trattoria Verdi..great separate dining area, excellent food..a lovely home cooked Italian soup, followed by a beautiful chicken dish with new potatoes and fresh vegetablles in a chicken sauce and a selection of at least four sweets..I had the Italian favourite, Timarasou with cream..delicious, followed by coffee and a free liqueur, by the manager, who I was requested to comment upon the meal when leaving.. First Class for a post Masonic session. As General MaCarthur of the USA once said.. we will return! Thanks for fitting us all in at short notice."

"In 11 years on this estate I’ve only had one breakfast here and I think it was buffet style then Aug 2015) but can’t be sure. My wife and I had a large breakfast and the kids had 3 X kids breakfasts £3.75). The large breakfasts really are quite huge, 4 sausages, 4 Hash browns, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 eggs, 1 piece of white toast wish they had choice of brown or seeded) and beans. My wife got less beans than the kids for some reason, so not consistent with the sizes, but overall a decent brekkie and the cappuccinos were lovely!! I’m so pleased they allow dogs now, it makes it much more viable to visit."

"After many months of not going out a lot and following recommendations from our neighbours we decided to see if there was availability for a Saturday evening meal.Fortunately on telephoning we were told there was a table available.On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown to a table. we were given a menu and drinks orders were taken. I had the nachos with dips for starters followed by a steak meal and Terry had prawn cocktail and scampi meal.We both found the food well cooked, well presented and very enjoyable.We found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and attentive.Following our excellent meal and paying we went through to the bar area where we relaxed and i had coffee and Terry had a further beer.There was a good selection of draught beers, wines and spirits and pleasing for Terry, cask ales.We had a most enjoyable evening and said we'd return.As we enjoyed our experience the night before so much we decided to ring and rather than cook at home decided to book for Sunday lunch.We are so glad we made this decision as once again we were warmly greeted by the staff and shown to a table. After ordering drinks we were that the normal menu was available as well as the Sunday carvery . We decided to stick with plan A and ordered the Sunday carvery. There were plate sizes. I had the medium plate and Terry went for the large. There was a choice of meats which all looked delicious and accompliments were added to the plate and there was an excellent choice of self service vegetables and gravy and sauces.We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and so glad we made the choice to dine there. We managed to find a space for a shared dessert of ice cream sundae which rounded off the meal perfectly.Following the meal we once again went through to the bar area for coffee and a drink.Many thanks to all the staff who made our visit enjoyable and we look forward to returning in the near future."

"I use weatherspoons daily.Spending around £20 to 30 a time. Last Friday 12th January I left my half full glass on the table while I went to the toilet and for a cigarette. Ten minutes roughly. When I returned it had gone! This has happened a couple of times.es before. A woman who said she wasn't working that day but she was a manager said she would look into it. As she walked away I'm afraid I swore not at her.at the situation. She then tried to take my drink away.i refused to let her unless she refunded my money. As I would have lost the price of 2 drinks. When I asked why the first drink had been taken.she said it could have got spiked!! When I managed to finish my drink she said I had laid my.hands on.her. not true I left the.pub and walked a couple of hundred yards to another one. She followed me put her phone in my face and said what's your name and took the a photo. Saying she was reporting me to the police and pub watch. THE bar staff couldn't.believe it. I am 71 yrs old retired and use the pubs in.Brigg a lot I am not know for causing trouble anywhere. But I have complained about some of the staff attitude before. Some of them should not be in the job.if I am barred from your pub it won't be right but to report to pub watch would be very wrong."

"look at my vapiano time..War at vapiano for evening tea. I ordered arrabbiata by vapiano vegetariano section the pasta filled with tomatoes garlauch chili and wobbles vapiano is a perfect, comfortable place for midday or evening friends! The arrbiata was Al-dente! "I walked past this place countless times before I was tempted to step inside. I am so glad that I did. I had the spicy pizza which was as good as any from one of Richmond's pizzerias. The pasta dishes I've tried, arrabiata and carbonara were cooked to perfection. The veggie breakfast was excellent and the egg, sausage and bacon sandwich... my 3 favourite foods in a ciabbata... what's not to like? The decor is low key, the staff attentive and the food excellent. Go here when you just want a bite to eat and don't need the restaurant theatre that would be more suitable for a date night."

"I also tried the Chicken Amigo burger, and honestly, it was the best and freshest chicken burger I've ever had. The chicken breast was huge, almost the size of my hand, and so succulent that I was truly impressed. The special sauce complemented the burger perfectly! We also ordered some chili cheeseries, but they could have used more chopped meat and could have benefited from a sprinkle of parmesan on top instead of just standard mozzarella. For drinks, we had a piña colada, which was very nice—not overly sweet, just perfect. Our total bill was £59 for everything. I will definitely return regularly! It has a great family-friendly atmosphere and is beautifully designed inside."
