"we met friends last night who had traveled all the way from bournemouth to visit and have a delightful night. Thankfully our group was a good company, our experience was far from it. we ran a little late, so when we arrived, we were shocked to find our friends who had waited for more minutes from the order for drinks! when we ordered ours, it wasn't faster. then we added our choice to order and expected our meal. I admit we would have heard that the service was shocked, but the quality of the foods that were created for him had been told. oh young, how wrong was that? When the meal finally came, they were shocking. the pizzas were in order, but everything else. yes, my friend ordered the bolognese, but asked rigatoni to replace the spaghetti. he had said it was okay, but at the arrival it was strozzapeti. we asked for spicy and parmesan and waited and waited. Finally we were brought salt, but my friend had to leave the table and get the pfeffer himself. when the parmesan arrived, it was in the form of the manager who leaned over us to grate it on stone cold meal times. a reef short nativity was ordered that was unusable. I had not recognized by short, it meant that the amount of meat was short in the amount. what was there was burned and dried up to the consistency of jerky. see attached photo. my lasagne arrived minutes after any other meal, after remembrance it lacked sauce bubbling away and the lower layer burned on the basis of the plate. I admit that it was on the house, but serving another food is not acceptable. the desserts came. the tiramasu was dry, sat on the chocolate sauce that glued it to the plate. the chocolate melt didn't do better. it would be better than chocolate splodge. the service was worse than we said. the meal went over the top of our heads to be handed over to the other side of the table, the manager tried to delete the table, although a friend still eat. continuous doing and eye-rolling when the problems were shown. the damentoiletten had not loo roll, the hand dryer from order and no ersatz towel. obviously not safe for customers! Yes, we got discounted, but this evaluation is to warn others about our experience and, probably pointless, hope that the management read it this and invest in training and time to solve these problems. I guess stratford is a lively environment, my son has worked both as a cook and management in the hospitality in the city for almost years, so I understand the stress of the city."

I've had the vegan pizza here which was great, quite expensive but with a unidays student discount makes it quite reasonable!

The staff is friendly, and the food is excellent. This restaurant is welcoming to families and breastfeeding mothers. We have visited several times both before and after having a child.

still a bad takeaway experience to freeze cold eating and still restaurants prices I usually don't leave a review because I am a cook myself, but again and again they get it wrong, don't take away if they can't even keep eating warm and not. in a box without care! pizza looked good candy, it was ice cold

The restaurant has a separate vegan menu that is easy to navigate. The staff is friendly and well-informed. The location is charming and located on a busy street, perfect for people-watching. The prices are fair for the generous portions, often leaving leftovers to take home. The soup and pasta dishes are especially tasty, and the bruschetta is outstanding. Additionally, they recently added a new vegan burger to the menu, which my daughter thoroughly enjoyed. View menu

Went about Tuesday March as a party of four. Loads of dishes on menu not available, Then chose from Specials Board to be told not yet started so not available. The selection therefore was restricted and not very wide, Then told lemonade no...available. Are they a restaurant or not? Food was ordinary, where was garlic in garlic bread, meat balls minute and falling apart in an unedifying sauce, ? The meal was average not really worth the money. Unlikely to go back to Zizzi on this experience. Spoilt a treat for someone's big birthday but that is life I guess

The vegan pizza at this restaurant is delicious. However, I wish they offered a wider variety of toppings, such as soy-based meats like vegan pepperoni. The pizza crust is excellent and the toppings they do have are fresh and tasty. The pizza sauce is also very flavorful. They also have vegan desserts available, including gelato and a vegan dessert calzone. Although the pizza is a bit pricey for takeout, it is a good option for a special date night or if you're looking for a delicious vegan pizza. Hopefully, as more mainstream pizza chains start offering vegan options, this restaurant will become more affordable for takeout orders. Overall, a great choice for vegans.

my friend and I ate here for the first time (we were in zizzi in other cities). when it was warm, we decided to eat outside on the dach terrace, which was a nice environment. When we had set ourselves, we said we had. to order from the app when we eat outside. the young waiter said it was something they were looking into. we had olives, garlic bread, garne and pizzas. the food was nice. my only thing was the service. we had to ask for tellers when we shared starters, then we had to ask for serviettes. there was no cute, but we had abandoned to ask for dingen. the young waiter was very pleasant and polite, but maybe you just need a little training. To be fair, he seemed to be up there. View menu

"For my main course, I had the halibut steak with baby potatoes, and it was outstanding! The fish was cooked to perfection, with a delicate sear and tender, fresh meat. The chef truly excelled with this dish! The baby potatoes were soft but had enough firmness to hold their shape, and the dressing on the plate was just right for enhancing the flavor. I also decided to try an oyster for the first time. The staff were very helpful in explaining how to eat it. Following a friend's advice, I added some lemon juice and Tabasco sauce, along with a few drops of shallot vinaigrette. Instead of swallowing it right away, I let the oyster sit on my tongue for a moment to savor the flavor, and I was pleasantly surprised. I've heard oysters can be hit or miss, but this one was definitely a hit—even for a picky eater like me! The white wine I chose was a nice complement to the meal, with subtle fruity notes that were not overpowering, pairing well with the various fish dishes. If you appreciate high-quality, fresh food cooked to perfection, this is the place for you! I’d rate it a perfect 10/10 and have already recommended it to friends. A big thank you to the staff for a delicious meal and a delightful evening! For vegetarians, I noticed a few options on the menu, and the restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate larger groups, making it kid-friendly as well."

"Checking in to a hotel in an unfamiliar place, it is tempting to book one 's first evening meal in the hotel 's restaurant (unless, of course, one has had chance to research the alternatives beforehand . This may seem a safe option, but is often a mistake, as it was on my visit to Ipswich. Had I only known that a minute 's walk along the quayside would have taken me to Mariners, I should have eaten there twice rather than only once! A floating restaurant can often prove to be a bit of a gimmick, but Mariners seemed to get good reviews so, on night two, I gave it a try. A beautifully restored and maintained Dutch customs gunboat from 1900, with gleaming brass and polished woodwork, the restaurant offers a limited, but well-constructed, menu to satisfy most tastes. Being aboard a boat, I opted for seafood, and was not disappointed. There being an R in the month , mussels were a good choice for my starter, followed by a seafood skewer , presented with just enough theatre to be amusing but not over the top. Not fine dining , perhaps, but well-prepared, nicely presented and very satisfying dishes at reasonable prices. A limited wine list, perhaps a bit on the pricey side, but the Picpoul de Pinet proved to be an excellent accompaniment without over-stressing the credit card. Service struck just the right balance between politeness and friendliness. My fellow diners embraced the whole age spectrum (I was by far the oldest! weighted perhaps towards the younger end, the common factor being that everyone (myself included was clearly enjoying themself. There are many other dining venues along the Ipswich quayside that my brief visit did not allow me to try, but Mariners can be recommended as a safe and enjoyable bet."
