Creamy fettuccine pasta tossed in a rich Alfredo sauce, often served with Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of parsley.

"Love it. Their food is absolutely delicious. The place itself is great to sit and dine. We had onion rings, bacon and cheesy fries and pasta. Onion rings and pasta were too good. The cheese on the fries didn’t taste outstanding and the bacon was a little cold and not very crispy. The staff at this place are really sweet. Overall had great experience at this place."

"We had the Early bird deal before 6.30 on a weekday. The choices were fantastic and the portions were so good! We had the Garlic mushrooms and potato skins to start with and both were large portions. The mushrooms were incredibly tasty. Then we both had the Alfredo, one with mushrooms and one without, really filling Definitely will be returning. "Feeling esurient, I hastened to Ritmos Tapas Bar to enjoy some Mediterranean fare. I was somewhat surprised to be the only diner there but, being hungry, I grasped firmly the extensive menu and ordered the “Salmon a la parilla” (Salmon with seasonal vegetables). Imagine my surprise when 50 minutes later (still no other customers present), a plate with two filets of white fish appeared in front of me. Intrigued, I ingested the fare to sample what kind of fish this could be; for it certainly was not Salmon. Now being a keen angler, I noted that the skin and the attached dorsal fin were very reminiscent of Grey Mullet a fish common to our shores in copious abundance and traded by nefarious anglers to low grade restaurants. When asked why my Salmon was indeed, not Salmon the Manager simply said “It’s a like a da Salmon”. Sadly I shall not be returning to this place of delectation. I’m not actually sure it is a restaurant but maybe a front for another business. They’re certainly not in the “Fish Recognition” business."

"Ordered food through JustEat. After nearly 2 hours it arrived. To be fair, the food was all hot which was good, however, the chips looked and tasted as though they had been reheated a number of times. Ordered a tub of curry sauce, and although it was very warm (temp) I could have hung wallpaper with it. Fried pizza was stuck to the box, so when opening container, all of the cheese was removed from the pizza. I have had many good experiences within this establishment, but this has been a poor experience this time. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3"

"I have always been consistent with my reviews and have shared our honest experience for the benefit of the Tripadvisor community. Regarding Merola's, some may consider us biased as we live in the same suburb and have been loyal customers for thirty years. However, due to Covid and other reasons, we have not dined here in over three years. I can't believe what we have been missing! After reading a feature on Merola's in WalesOnline on December 30th, 2022, we decided to book a table for that very night. Run by head chef Nick, his wife Sylvia, and her brother Spiro, you will be warmly welcomed as if you are part of their family. The food is exceptional and the value for money is outstanding. We enjoyed three starters, mains, a large carafe of house red wine, four drinks, and the total bill was only £91. If you are unsure where to dine, I highly recommend Merola's for a fantastic dining experience. You will truly enjoy every aspect of your meal."

"Wetherspoon is to be congratulated on its 'Nil Musak ' policy enabling easy conversation free from irritating interruption. In visiting the 'Foot of the Walk ' on repeated occasions, we enjoy the comfortable padded bench seating supporting an impressively edible consumption of cuisine. Recommended are the Pasta Alfredo and Quorn Nuggets. The 'Foot of the Walk ' clearly supports a regularly visiting local clientele in chat and cyberspace consuming, much commended. We do suggest that while staff are efficient and friendly they could be augmented to enable further cleaning of tables"

"Visited with 4 friends 1x gluten free) on a Saturday lunch time. Two of the non gluten friends visited 2 weeks earlier and asked about gluten free options knowing that the four of us including the gf friend) would be eating there in the next 2 weeks. They were assured GF guests would be catered for. So me being the gluten free customer opted for Cajun chicken main meal served with crispy potato wedges salad. The waiter an elderly gentleman) came to take our order and I asked politely if the Cajun chicken dish was gluten free to which he replied, ‘Why’. To say I was slightly taken aback was an understatement. I explained that sometimes spices on the chicken) or coatings on the potatoes may contain gluten containing ingredients. The waiter didn’t seem to be interested or more importantly didn’t offer to check with the chef. In the end I opted for a gluten free pizza which was very tasty. My other 3 friends’ food was very tasty and the service was swift and staff polite. My overall experience as a gluten free diner is one of disappointment at this particular establishment. There is a sign on the wall as you enter informing you to tell staff of any food intolerances. In this particular instance and in my personal opinion, the waiter couldn’t be bothered. I did tip but on reflection I wish I hadn’t now. I hope the next customer who has a gluten intolerance, is served by a more experienced, knowledgeable member of staff otherwise please don’t bother. Go somewhere else!"

"Went in there to dine for the evening..... The restaurant is in a good location with warm and pleasant interiors....though the tables were placed quite near to each other....we managed to grab a decent place to sit.... Wanted to try something of a meal kind filling enough for one...so decided on the following.... Chicken Carolina well presented in a plate with a big chunk of chicken....topped with amazing mushroom and cheese sauce....bits of crispy bacon on the top....best sauce that I have had of this kind....so so good... Finger licking good!! This was accompanied by potato fries.... Traditional fish and chips chips as usual but the fish was not seasoned well. Very delicate and soft fish....accompanies with perfect sauce. However the poorly seasoned fish did not let us enjoy the dish. We did report the same and they were gracious enough to get us a replacement of our choice to which we ordered chicken alfredo and it was definitely a good one!!! Good ambience topped with good food and good company made us have a good dining experience. The service was however a little lagged as we had to wait to get someone to serve us or address the concern . Apart from that all good and highly recommended!!!"

"Me and my boyfriend visited rare last night, and the atmosphere, staff, dinner and drinks were all up to standard. Paul the manager/waiter was an absolute delight to speak to. He was funny, friendly and incredibly quick to serve us and hard working. We met the head chef, Danny, and he was immensely positive and honest about where the steaks were from, and gave us information on the source. He was informative, hard working and a lovely gentleman to have a conversation with on my birthday, which added to the homely and romantic atmosphere. I highly recommend this place as the service is quick and pleasant, as well as the overall vibe of the place! A perfect way to spend my 18th birthday with my boyfriend."

"as part of the birthday party of a friend I was invited to a meal in frankie bennys. we were a large group of about 6 8 people and the staff could simply sort a group table for us directly in the middle of the restaurant. my friend, who used to be at franky benny, suggested that I try the warm garlic balls as starter. they receive about 4 6 teig balls in one part and they offer them pots of garlic paste. I have to say that I was absolutely addicted to her garlic paste and the teigballs tasted amazingly once immersed in her, I recommend definitiw to get it as an appetizer! I then ordered the classic steak and chips, the around £12, so cheap and cheerful. I rarely like my steak medium and they were quite banged up. it's not the best steak I've ever had, but for this price it wasn't bad at all. we decided that we wanted to surprise the birthday child and that personal asked if they could help us. they assured us that they will do something while our desserts were prepared. next we know that the music in the restaurant changed into a happy birthday song and they brought out a cake with an illuminated candle and encouraged us all to sing. it was really a good experience for all of us and especially for the birthday child. I was at frankie benny’s several times later and my only recommendation is that if they go with a large group of family members, then avoid changing as the waiting times can be very long. however (if they ask nicely) employees can happily take their number and give them a call when they prepare a table for them. this gives them the opportunity to stay away from the packed restaurant and enjoy a game with pool or air hockey, next door in the arcade."

"If you like Italian food, then you’ll love La Gondola and you’ll especially love Luigi who adds an extra dimension with his colourful and infectious personality. My favourite eatery! The staff are excellent, all friendly, courteous and always on hand to provide any help if and when required. I cannot highlight them enough. The have also made their premises wheelchair friendly. Lower sink and plenty of handrails for added assistant. The corridor to the toilets are narrow, but they were restricted by the building, but should be accessible by “most” wheelchairs. They have a portable ramp into the building. Mention wheelchair when booking and the ramp is already in place by the time you arrive, no waiting around for it to be placed."

"Food was nice but after our starters we waited a long time for our mains because either we were forgotten or they prioritised the takeaways which were lined up waiting to go out. Another table walked in after our starters and had their mains before us. The managers attitude was poor and he really could not have cared less, he was too busy prioritising takeaways. He tried to blame our waitress for not checking on us but as a manager the responsibility falls on him. Because of our long wait we were given free desserts to takeaway which is why the review isn't 2*"

"This place is tucked away on a road not far from the city centre. It's a proper pub showing sport, and has a pool table. The staff in there were really friendly and explained the token system to us, whereby you pay £10 for 3 drinks and if you don't want the third at the time of purchase, they give you a token to have the extra drink another time. Not sure this totally worked when ordering a G&T, as they are only £3.00 each time anyway, but it does work if the round consists of something more expensive. We sat on one of the sofas, which had a stack of games next to it (and involved us playing a heated round of checkers! . They do have some food, although it's pretty basic. We've not eaten there, so can't comment. If you want a proper pub, with no frills, then this is the place."

"Alfredo's has been our family's go-to restaurant for years where we have celebrated many special occasions. However, our recent experience celebrating my 60th birthday with a party of seven was unfortunately disappointing. The calamari we ordered as starters arrived almost cold and had a rubbery texture. Although the seafood linguine was tasty, the portions were small and contained grit. We had to request serviettes from the staff, who did not check on our dining experience throughout the meal. The barman was attentive and checked in after we had finished. Shockingly, both ladies' toilets were out of order, requiring someone to stand guard in the corridor to prevent men from entering. The men's toilet lacked a working flush and light, forcing patrons to leave the door open. The young and inexperienced waiting staff were friendly, but lacked supervision. We were offered complimentary drinks as a gesture of apology. We hope the new owners can restore Alfredo's renowned charm, character, and exceptional food quality."

"Myself and 3 friends came along at around 20:30 on Thursday 28th December. I asked if they were still open, there was a young man sitting at the table as soon as you walk in who told me they were closed and I’d need to come back tomorrow when they open. I thanked him and left, a young lady with dark hair in a high ponytail then came from behind the bar, opened the door and started laughing in our faces and shouting at us, we could here her calling us things that I don’t wish to type on here. As a regular here, I recognised her as a member of staff. She appeared to be drunk and was incredibly rude to us all. If the owners have CCTV at the entrance I would encourage them to look into this. Very shocking behaviour. Never had any issues like this when the previous owner was there. We have made the decision that we will not be returning here due to this shocking incident."

"Went with my disabled mother, a friend and her child. Anthony straight away opened the door as he saw us approaching and got us a table with easy wheelchair access without prompting. My friends daughter was given crayons and activity set and he really spoke to her nicely. We felt awful he didn’t get a tip but there was no option on the card payment and we didn’t have cash. I hope he at least gets recognition though as he was nice and attentive without being pushy or overbearing. The food was nice, though I do feel too expensive. The ice cream for dessert served in tub like you’re in a cinema was extremely odd for the setting. Coffees were nice. Shame the drinks are Pepsi and not Coke. Cheapens it all a little. All in all though a nice meal and good experience with excellent customer service. Thank you."

"One of the best things London has to offer is definitely Vapiano. Our first visit was quite enjoyable, but when a friend insisted we return to try the aglio olio, we couldn’t resist going back—and we have no regrets. I’ve probably tried every type of pasta on the menu. The pizza is pretty good, and the lasagna is decent too; nothing out of the ordinary that you wouldn’t find elsewhere. But the pasta is where it really shines. The variety of sauces and pasta can be a bit overwhelming when trying to decide what to order. The Italian desserts are also quite good. I highly recommend Vapiano if you're in London!"

"Just happened to park right outside this cafe. So many unremarkable coffee shops on high street these days that it 's a gamble each time you visit one. BUT this gamble paid off. I had a 3 shot Cappuccino and a bacon and egg on brown teacake. I made no further requests. The lovely, pleasant chatty lass brought my coffee to the table immediately (I have balance problems) and the butty arrived a couple of minutes later. A bacon sandwich is such a basic package yet it 's saddening how many bad ones are served. Not this one Soft, fresh bap, well filled with CRISPY bacon and runny egg with a creamy yolk. So happy all round and not only will I come again but I 'll actually make this my 'go to ' from now on. Knocks the chains and franchises into the pit they belong. Only fly in the ointment was that 4 tables I could see needed a good clean. This just prevents them earning 10 out of 10. Call in you won 't be disappointed"

"A group of eight of us had a reservation at Bellini on Saturday evening. While we eventually enjoyed tasty food, the staff and customer service were lacking. We were seated at the back of the restaurant and then ignored. We waited nearly an hour with no service at all—none of the waitresses approached us to offer menus or take our drink orders. We had to ask for assistance and noticed that tables seated after us were already served. The waitresses seemed more focused on clearing tables than serving us. When we complained, we were offered a complimentary drink as a solution. All we desired was proper service, which we believe is not too much to ask for in a restaurant. The manager, who also serves as the chef, was unavailable. After voicing our dissatisfaction again, we were told to leave if we were not happy, which we found to be shocking customer service. Eventually, a waitress took our order, but we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for half of our group to receive their drinks and another 10 minutes for the rest, as the waitress was chatting at the bar. There was no supervision and the staff seemed disorganized. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience and believe the staff need training on their roles."
