"My son and I went to this restaurant following a visit to the theatre which is not too far away. I am a wheelchair user, and my son is vegatarian so we had specific needs which the restaurant met. Neither of us had eaten Japanese before so we were quite curious as to what it would be like. My son had a veggie roll for starters, followed by Udon noodle soup. There was so much left of that he was able to take what was left home for a meal the following day. He said it was absolutely delicious. My starter was a salmon and avocado roll, followed by a hamata hotate roll both of which were absolutely delicious. The only negative thing I would say is that there was a green piped flower on the serving platter which I thought was made from avocade mousse but was was in fact VERY hot wasabe. Be warned!! To drink we both had plum wine which was gorgeous really soft and velvety. I am going to see if I can buy some of it as I was so impressed. We would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to try something different."

"I used to love this place and go there all the time. Great sushi, reasonable prices and super helpful staff. The new management taking over is incredibly unhelpful. I called them to make a booking flagging that I was loyal customer and i have been going there for the last ten years. The restaurant manager was completely inflexible, couldn’t care less and she invited me to book on open table where everything was obviously fully booked. If you don’t care about your loyal customers, whom do you a care about? Very disappointing."

"This is a great little cafe. The quality of the food is excellent, and there is plenty of choice for a light lunch or for coffee and cake. Much of the food is homemade and can be taken away too. The Scotch eggs are the...best I've ever tasted, and all the cakes I've had have been delicious. In my view the price of the food is very reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients, and it compares very favourably to similar cafes locally. The service is always polite and prompt. My only criticism is that the cafe is fairly small and so can be busy and crowded at times. Otherwise it is a perfect spot for lunch."
"I thought yo sushi had gone bust in our area but it seems to have regrouped itself, we travelled to our nearest 'yo ' in Brighton. Things have changed, no water at the tables anymore, along with service button, making it very difficult to call staff when needed and especially if you 're not au fait with 'scanning ' items off the menu. As with other reviews,I am finding it hard to write anything positive. Restaurant felt grimy, service slow and food average at best. The same, no more than 15 (we counted) mainly plant and sushi rolls, went past us on the track in the 90 mins we were there, which I thought was there to attract you into ordering more ? The two types of sashimi were good but cooked stuff, just ok. I ordered salmon fire cracker rice, which turned up as bland boiled rice with a few peppers and salmon in. I queried it and the reply was oh did you want it hot, i can give you some chilli powder? isn 't there a clue in the name... Waitress informed of our woes, only to be ignored as she 's probably heard them a thousand times. If this is a revamp, it shouldn 't have bothered and stayed bust....."

"I have never tried Cambodian food, so that this has only made this an unforgettable restaurant trip. it is a really nice caffe that you can see from the cute tablecloths, how the daytime as a teestube doubles (although you also get cabodian food.) it is not cheap, especially for drinks (contrast bunga raya in hazel grove,) but in my view it is good for the quality of eating. we have the early reels and the sriracha chicken wings to start the latter are delightful sticky and sweet and they get 4 big wings to share so big. the early rolls were in order, but I would probably try something else next time, maybe the summer rolls. the nets we thought were really standing by the appetizers as excellent dishes I loved the fish curry (cambodias national court) and bf equally loved his bark carari. if they go on a Friday/Saturday, they should book as it is not so big and pleasantly busy with customers."

"Awful, AWFUL experience. Quite frankly traumatising. No exaggeration, honestly. (Reposting my partners' review so that more people can be warned Do. Not. Go. To. This. Restaurant. My parents booked myself and my partner a meal here on groupon for my birthday and they honestly could...not be more hostile towards us. I went in smiling, we had trouble getting up the QR code but blatantly had the email confirmation booking and they just said “It’s not our problem. No QR code or get out our restaurant right now.” What is the point in advertising your restaurant on groupon if you’re going to treat the people who use it like dirt on the bottom on your shoe? I’m very capable of affording the dishes at full price but it was a present and therefore we were redeeming the voucher, and had called a few times in advance explaining that it was a birthday meal and so expect a certain level of human courtesy but wow…..they took every opportunity to be as rude and as horrible as possible every step of the way. In addition, when we called to ask if we could change our booking to 20 minutes later they said very rudely that they were fully booked, although when we arrived there was absolutely nobody in the restaurant eating. The place was completely empty… what is the need to lie like that? The disrespect is beyond belief. I’ve never felt so degraded in my life by people who are paid to offer ‘customer service’. I’m Japanese and can confirm that none of the staff are Japanese and the food looked basic at best. They treated us as if we were asking to eat for free….Ruined my 25th birthday. The worst vibe from a restaurant imaginable. I wouldn’t go near this place with a barge pole. Avoid it like the plague. £55 down the drain non-refundable for no food, awful service, and overall a completely unacceptable experience. DO NOT GO HERE."

"Food was over half an hour late; driver completely missed our block of flats and wandered off in the opposite direction, didn’t ring us at all, and didn’t show with the food for another 10 minutes. We then got a phone all from the restaurant to say that the driver was outside. We notified them that there had been no knock. We then looked outside and the driver was at a different block of flats over the road. Food was then cold when we opened it (no wonder, given how late it was and the 10 minutes outside! . Quality was okay but nothing special. I don’t think we will order again,"

"Terrible. Very long wait but didn't seem that busy. Lots of staff that clearly hate their job and or life. It's like they try to make it your worst possible dining experience. They are going out their way to make it disgusting. Burger came luke warm. Drink had no ice and had been sitting so wasn't that cold. The beans were so nuked and could have caused 3rd degree burns. The thigh was OK.Give it a wide berth. Awful. Toilets grim, no soap. 4 Costa express machines all broken. Honestly this has to be the worst run moto in the UK. They win by a country mile. The management should be sacked. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"
