Sushi Waka - Menu

We had the octopus to start and shared a sushi platter, food was super quick to arrive and delicious and served by friendly staff. We will be back to try more of the menu.

We often visit this restaurant for their delicious sushi! The staff is incredibly friendly, the chef is excellent, and the management is very professional. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal and unwind.

My family and I went for lunch at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the waitress was very rude and seemed unfamiliar with the menu. Despite this, the food was delicious and we enjoyed it. We were a little disappointed with the service as this is usually one of our favorite restaurants.

The restaurant offers other Japanese dishes in addition to an extensive sushi menu. The sushi (as with a lot of sushi places in the UK) is a bit pricy but it was nice for a treat. The fish was fresh and love had clearly gone into the food. Just in case the internet has confused you on your search for this restaurant, it has recently changed it's name to Ippuku.

I have spent in this restaurant a couple of hours at lunch time, it was a very nice and relaxing break as the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the food is very high quality and definitively not overpriced at all, we had plenty of excellent sushi with generous chunks of fresh fish, soup, tempura, noodles, all for less than 20£ each. The staff was super kind and welcoming.

I went to this restaurant on the first day of the Eat Out to Help Out campaign. The restaurant seemed a bit overwhelmed by the high demand and the service was not as quick as they would have liked. However, the staff was very friendly which made up for it. The food was outstanding, especially the salt and pepper spare ribs. It's worth mentioning that the restaurant has recently changed its name to IPFU Sushi.

Visited for lunch with my daughter. I haven’t been to a sushi restaurant before so I was nervous ordering the food. The menu is easy to understand and the waitress was lovely. The restaurant is lovely with background music so it’s not too quiet. We had a sushi platter with an additional 12 pcs of the cucumber and avocado sushi with a bubble tea and a Diet Coke £26 which I thought was excellent value for money. We were very full. Would definitely visit again.

Me and my partner visited York this weekend and decided to end our Saturday night with some sushi. We’d spotted this place after parking in the NCP across the road so thought we’d give it a go. We didn’t book but at the time we arrived it wasn’t a problem (around 5pm) but as we were finishing our meal the place was becoming very busy. As a vegetarian there was plenty of choice for me I had the vegetable spring rolls, avocado/asparagus hand roll and the vegetable tempura bento box. My partner got the ribs and then the large bento box no.8. Food was fresh and flavoursome and the staff were so nice. I’d definitely recommend a visit.

My son and I went to this restaurant following a visit to the theatre which is not too far away. I am a wheelchair user, and my son is vegatarian so we had specific needs which the restaurant met. Neither of us had eaten Japanese before so we were quite curious as to what it would be like. My son had a veggie roll for starters, followed by Udon noodle soup. There was so much left of that he was able to take what was left home for a meal the following day. He said it was absolutely delicious. My starter was a salmon and avocado roll, followed by a hamata hotate roll both of which were absolutely delicious.
