"I've ordered lots of times from Itabashi over the past several years. Unfortunately they recently they changed their delivery policies. After spending a while with the family selecting our order I went to place the order, they explained I was (now) outside of their delivery area and needed to pay an extra £2.50 ... which was fine so proceeded. They then took payment but then told me they had no delivery driver, so rejected the order. However they'd taken the money!! and I might have to wait several days for a refund!! ... terrible way to implement a system ... owner was less than apologetic when I called him to explain the error in their process ... Result ... lost customer ... that's no way to do business"

"Kan Pai Edinburgh 17/10/2014 After missing September, The Food Club made a triumphant comeback this month. Although short on the usual numbers we enjoyed a fine meal at Kan Pai. We jumped on the train and met at Haymarket before a short taxi trip to our destination. T’was a crisp evening and our taste buds were bubbling with excitement. The restaurant looked great on the outside and even better inside, we were sat with plenty of room in the middle of the restaurant and able to take in the atmosphere of the tables surrounding us. We started by ordering our alcoholic beverages… as is tradition. We got a round of Sapporo Beer and a bottle of Saki on ice, as recommended by the staff. The menu was fantastic with a great variety of sushi and filled with colourful photo’s, making our selection process very difficult. We went for a wide variety and shared very little with our peers, far too good for sharing. A few members found that chopsticks were a difficult obstacle but perseverance is the name of the game. For one such member he was so good with chopsticks that he attempted the Miso Soup with them……. Instant fail. Another member decided using them as spears was a much more effective method…. One chopstick…… ADVANCED LEVEL SKILLS. The soup was very tasty and a warming treat. It was followed with a selection of bright dishes including Avocado Maki, Seabass Nigiri and some kind of fantastic Crab dish. All went down well and accompanied with a delicate tea pot of soy and a plate of pickled ginger and wasabi. More dishes arrived, Teriyaki Salmon, Squid Ngiri Takoyaki Octopus. Flattering octopus balls, delightful in texture and served with what can only be described as tasty saw dust. Again there was no faulting the quality of the food. The smiles were beaming from our faces as we tucked in. We got a selection of larger dishes to fill us to the brim. A couple of Rainbow rolls, beautiful Salmon Tuna married together with avocado and also the Kan Pai Special roll which was King Prawn avocado rolled together. The Saki was delightfully sipped throughout the night from the small cup like bowls and it was both smooth and warming down to the chest. The Sapporo was as good as ever and very refreshing throughout the dining experience. Usually we like a dessert at food club but the only let down (other than a certain members questionable moustache) was perhaps that they only had ice cream on offer but in fairness it would be wrong to expect a chocolate fudge cake after that meal. Between those in attendance, I think we were in agreement that in terms of food quality this venue stole the show and I would highly recommend to anyone. Very affordable and very friendly staff. We drifted to the Grassmarket for a pint seeing The Big Yin, Billy Connolly on our way. The night finished speaking fluent German and discussing another members receding hairline. HEY DU!!! "our first sushi experience was a more successful at sushido. the service was excellent with daniella time to explain the different menu options. the food was extremely deliciously presented extremely well. we paid more than what we usually did for a meal...out, but it was a special occasion that was worth high-quality fresh food! They also kindly brought out a delicious dessert for my daughter, as it was her birthday that was a nice, nice note. we would like to come back!"

"Visited koi sushi last night, from the start we felt welcomed we was greeted by a lovely young lady I think she said her name was Donna. The restaurant was very clean and I must add the music was great too.. Last but not least the food was amazing we had a mixed sharing platter the Katsu prawns was amazing, for mains I had teriyaki Salmon and it was cooked to protection. My desert just finished my evening off Japanese pancake I’m craving another already!"

"I would advise that they do not order the delivery of this place. we have submitted an order that we have not received since half an hour after we have said that it would be with us in a few minutes. the manager and the driver were incredibly unhelpful when we complained not to get the food and when it finally arrived an hour late! they were not at all apologetic. we were not offered an apology or discount, and the driver ended the food away, instead of just apologising for lateness and not contacting us to tell us it would be late. To be honest, we didn't do sushi that was already an hour in a warm car. can not speak for the restaurant, but delivery and customer service were appalling."

"This is a great place to eat, but avoid at all cost ordering a takeaway, meal was an hour late and the meal arrived cold. The soup dish had spilled into the bag, so no soup. When I complained, there was zero comprehension that my evening had been disrupted and complete denial that the one of the meals was not edible I.e. it was in a bag. The owner avoided at all costs to speak with me and simple shut me down with an I don't care attitude. She needs to try harder one star. In addition, the staff that took the compliant laughed and mocked my complaint as they out the phone down."

"Went for a birthday lunch with work friends. Had been recommended here many times but this was my first time of trying. It is a small place (only three tables) but it is super clean and the staff friendly. We ordered from the small but perfectly formed menu. I can't remember/pronounce the main dishes but they were in large bowls (like stews) with side dishes of rice, dumplings, prawn tempura. The food came very quickly and was absolutely delicious. I had the stew with spicy soup, seafood and silken toffee, kimchee and vegetables. The gyoza style dumplings were perfect with a slightly crispy shell. The meal was really reasonable at £45 for 3 and there was sooo much food. The portions are huge. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We have vowed to make it a birthday tradition from now on. Luckily, we have another birthday in three weeks!! Can't wait to go back..."

"I want to write this review because I am a regular customer of WFM in Richmond and the last visit was very remarkable because me and my partner are trying to avoing single use plastic where possible and when we asked at the lady at the meat/fish counter (Yanola if I remember well, sorry for any spelling mistake) if they could accept customers container to put food inside. She was so kind that all my fears of annoying her have been blown away with her amazing customer service! She explained us kindly that when the pandemic emergency will be over they will be able to accept customers containers again. I generally like the customer service at WFM and now I have the chance to say a big thank to the team members! Even the ladies in the beauty shop area are always suoer kind and helpful! Thank you"

"The staff was very welcoming and nice, they didn't pressure me to order quickly or anything. The coffee shop itself is pretty small and cozy, there's no background music but it's a very relaxced atmosphere. The wifi is free. Service took 10 minutes for my food. They offer breakfast and lunch: open sandwiches, wraps, paninis, toasties, salads, they have vegan and vegetarian options. For 4,65 I had an avocado, tomato and mozzarella toastie. The avocado was a bit firm, but the bread was great, the cheese was well melted, the tomatoes were delicious, as were the salad and coleslaw. I'm very happy with my visit!"

"I arrived around 7:30pm on a Thursday with my work colleague, and we were the only ones in the restaurant. I ordered the unagi bento box and a side of salmon sushi rolls, both of which were delicious. The sake we ordered made the meal even better - I had warm sake and my colleague had cold sake. The amount of sake we received was very generous, and it took us 2 hours of chatting and drinking to finish our drinks. Overall, I would give the food a 5-star rating."

"This is a real Bournemouth hidden gem. It's a tiny little shop with some sit-in stools, but they also do take-out. The sushi is amazing. I would highly recommend the black tiger sushi which has an amazing prawn crunch in it. Also, the chicken kara-age is fab. They are lovely people. Super food. "We finished our last meeting at around 630pm near St Paul and walked towards the Grange Hotel. One of my colleagues wanted to eat Japanese and know about Miyama, Its a nice place with a basement dinning area. London is a very cosmopolitan city and its easy to find Asian food, including Jap, Indian and Thai. Can't be eating fish and chips every day: Spacious and comfortable. I tried the hot soba with seafood with wild vegetables. The seafood was crab meat, some fish roe, some fish cakes and plenty of vegetables. The hot noodle and soup much welcome when the temperature outside on the streets was around 10c.We shared an order of fried bean curd and sashimi. Both the food and service was good, except that one of the wait staff served a beer which we did not order. Taking notes of the various food places within the City. This is location is near St Paul's which is a major tourist landmark. No need to use google map to find this place the next time, if there is an opportunity to be London again in the future..."

"We fancied this place after seeing it on a tv show in our hotel in London. So much other way home we decided to make a slight detour to give it a whirl. Difficult to park but had a nice walk along the river to the cafe. Ordered hot chocolate for my wife and Italian hot chocolate for me and we both had the breakfast burger. The hot chocolate was delicious and Italian was absolutely scrumptious. The food arrived hot and was very tasty. Service was very good. How the waiter managed not to spill a drop of chocolate as it was so full is beyond me. Thank you for a very enjoyable experience."
