"The staff was very welcoming and nice, they didn't pressure me to order quickly or anything. The coffee shop itself is pretty small and cozy, there's no background music but it's a very relaxced atmosphere. The wifi is free. Service took 10 minutes for my food. They offer breakfast and lunch: open sandwiches, wraps, paninis, toasties, salads, they have vegan and vegetarian options. For 4,65 I had an avocado, tomato and mozzarella toastie. The avocado was a bit firm, but the bread was great, the cheese was well melted, the tomatoes were delicious, as were the salad and coleslaw. I'm very happy with my visit!"

Stumbled across this cafe just off the Main Street in Oban. Coffee tastes delicious and cakes were incredible. Lovely owner and great cafe!

Was looking forward to going here with all the good reviews, but really rushed service and cheap borderline raw bacon. Cake was nice though

A lovely little restaurant with very polite and accommodating staff who handbrake all their goods. The size and quality of cake you get here is just incredible, it’s my go to place for a cake and cup of coffee, very relaxed atmosphere. View menu

Popped in here to get a drink and a slice of cake at lunch time yesterday. I had a slice of coffee cake which was lovely and moist with just the right amount of flavouring and my husband had a honeycomb slice which he very much enjoyed!

Came across this Cafe after being turned away from another as it was too busy. How glad was I?! The homemade cakes are unbelievable and the coffee was perfect. I cannot fault the place even with the COVID-19 procedures in place the service was quick and friendly.

Café Harris. It is a nice little café close to town center and Tesco superstore. Therefore parking is free for 3 hours. Plenty of time for coffee after your shopping. I quite like it. It is spacious, you can have your meal or drink outside if weather is good. However, they haven’t mastered yet the art of serving caffe macchiato. It was good but we were served a mug-full of it. Never mind, we are just fussy. Closed on Sunday. View menu

After a very early start in Tobermory, 9 hungry travellers descended on Cafe Harris for a much needed breakfast. Julie and Eilidh were amazing and despite our invasion at short notice, provided my 8 French guests and I with the best breakfast of their visit to date. Everything cooked fresh to order, accompanied by excellent selection of teas, coffee and juices. Huge thanks Julie and Eilidh, you saved the day. Next time we’ll pre-book table/menu and give you some warning.See you soon!

We came across Café Harris when we were mooching around Oban having got off there on a day coach trip from our hotel by Loch Awe. I am so glad we ventured in. It is relatively small, but such friendly owners. We only had a scone, jam and butter and a cup of tea, but it was delicious. It was the best tea we had drunk since leaving our own home a few days earlier. The scone was home made and the jam was like home made I know as I make my own raspberry jam as this was its equal. I had a nice chat to the owners husband and wife team. I am so pleased to recommend this café, you won't be disappointed.

"On our last day here, killing time before the ferry, decided to try luncheon here. No expectations either way. And we were TOTALLY wowed it was just excellent. Trying not to put too many superlatives in this review, but it was really, really ace. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the harbour where you could see dog walkers, children in wellies, crabbing, and little boats coming and going. Classic Islay. Then I have to mention the food. Jeez, it was top notch, and huuuuuuuge portions. I don’t think we’ve ever had four such consistently generous and fulfilling portions before. We had the scallops (massive, juicy, plentiful , the Crofter’s Platter, which was cheeses, hams, sausage rolls, salad, bread, chutneys; the soup massive bowl, loadsa crispy sourdough bread, and the fish and chips which was so big it draped over the plate! All delicious. Our guy, Andrew, was superb, so attentive and smiley and always bringing us more things, spoons, drinks, more bread, spoons, he was great. And we had a lovely chat with the very friendly and nice proprietor. She was wonderful. Really seemed to care about the place and her team. She told us all about the hotel and stuff it was really cool. We will most certainly come back here next time. You can’t necessarily get the best table every time, but we won’t mind if we don’t! : Oh, also, lovely clean loos!"
