Savory grilled beef glazed with teriyaki sauce, served with sesame seeds and green onions.

"We're regulars at this little gem of a restaurant and have introduced our friends to it too. The food has been wonderful every time we've visited and when we've done take away! Particular favourites are the sushi rolls, the tempura prawns and vegetables (amazing! and the Chicken Deopbap. If you're thinking of going, you won't be disappointed."

"We were not prepared for the flavour journey Kazoku we're taking us on. Beautiful, simply. Divine. Magical. A journey through taste that we haven't experienced before. The plum wine, the serving of the food in intervals, the clinical knowledge the staff had of the food. We would like to personally commend the chefs for allowing us to try their food. We will be back, we would book a hotel just to visit again. Nothing more needs to be said, visit and divulge into what can only be described as brilliant. Congratulations, phenomenal. Thank you."

"The food at this restaurant was great, but they did not have the wine we wanted. We were taken aback by the high prices, with a small bottle of beer costing nearly £5 and a gin and tonic priced at £12. We want to support local restaurants, but the expenses can add up quickly, especially when drinks are so costly. It is not surprising that there were only three occupied tables during our visit."

"my party of four went to maneki for the meal karaoke deal. the choice of food for this deal was limited, but the meals were all very good and fill. we also got a bowl of mistsuppe, which was a beautiful surprise! the staff was also very helpful in relation to the allergies of our companions. I really enjoyed the karaoke. there was a good selection of songs, although there were some popular artists like outkast missing, which was a little disappointing. the karaoke software is also a little tricky to navigate first, but they get used to it eventually. the size and mood of the karaoke room was good. Overall, I would recommend maneki for anyone who wants to try karaoke for the first time, especially if they wish a decent meal before."

"Booked on a spur of the moment and so pleased we did. It's a cosy space downstairs and has a good atmosphere. The food is really good and full of flavour. I had a lamb burger, with goat's cheese, whilst my partner had a pulled pork in brioche. Initially, we thought we'd have a main and dessert. (Mainly because we saw a few desserts being brought out and they looked lovely) We managed the main... It was so good but we were struggling to finish so had to stick with that.. Maybe next time for a pudding! Definitely worth a visit but make sure you book early."

"Carry out. Got home and plated it. Shredded honey roast pork and fried rice, chicken teryaki. Both were grey, bland looking; a rather joyless an unappetising looking pair of dishes. Thats OK if it tastes good. It didn 't. Both dishes were bland. Like a packet rice dish thrown in with some pork or chicken. There was no notion that someone with any cooking skills had been involved. The chicken had the dreaded woody breast (look it up) an awful, fibrous chicken texture. Took both dishes back, got a refund. Not good at all, very disappointing."

"A huge disappointment as I'd been wanting to try this place out for a long time. Lovely looking pub with friendly staff but sadly it ended there . Friend ordered the soup of the day which consisted of about three mouthfuls of soup in a dish which was certainly not made for soup! I ordered the skate wing from the specials board. The fish was off, I tried two bites but the overwhelming smell of ammonia could be mistaken by no one . This also put doubt into my friend which had also ordered fish. We were offered a replacement choice but received no proper apology, by the chef, and charged full price for the evening and. It even offered pudding or a drink by way of apology! I became unwell with an upset stomach which in turn ruined my New Year's Eve dinner the following eve. And all for the price of £85.00! Will not be recommending this place to anyone. In fact I shall be warning people away. If they had put more effort into making things right I'd have given them a second chance. Unfortunately they didn't."

"My wife and I shared a pizza and sharing platter and it was enough for the both of us. I would say prices are a little on the higher side, BUT, the food is delicious and the services was great. We sat in a window seat downstairs and felt that corner lacked a bit of atmosphere as the restaurant speakers are in the other side of the room. All in all, a delightful place!"
"Lots of options for food, limited options for cocktails. Food was delicious and the service was good, if not a bit slow at times. We would definitely visit again! I had the pumpkin katsu, it was absolutely incredible. Restaurant is clean and well spaced out. Low lighting inside which made it more comfortable. Chopsticks only so if you can't use them then beware!"

"we were here last week with my friend and ordered burgers. directly on the menu they come with all the sides we wanted (chips, coleslaw salat) which was nice to see as many restaurants try to sell them when they order this item separately. service was quite average (it was bar service as we sat outside) but that was no problem and the staff was friendly. After eating had arrived (on average 20 minutes) we were surprised by the large portions. everything tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned, the burger was a definitiw and one of the best restaurantburgers I ever had. very good price-performance ratio and would definitely visit again! pity that we had not been able to try the puddings but that sounds like an excuse to return, especially after we saw the tapas on the other tables!"

"Highly recommended. Great atmosphere and an excellent steak restaurant with a wide variety menu extending beyond meat. My husband loves steaks and I was looking for a special restaurant for his birthday dinner during our trip to Liverpool. I found this restaurant on my own, I liked the menu I saw online and our dining experience exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is a combo of cozy and warm and elegant and the service was good. We loved our drinks (a good American bourbon selection for my husband) and I had a terrific old-fashioned. But most important, the food was excellent. My husband had a wonderful steak dinner (filet and perfectly grilled asparagus); I'm a vegetarian and had a delicious baked augergine entree (thanks to our server who recommended it). And a thank you to the staff for providing an unexpected birthday dessert. Overall, a very nice dining experience."
"Absolutely terrible service it took almost 2 hours for us to receive our food, I rang twice, I presume they’d forgotten our order and I reminded them the first time I rang, they told me it was ‘on its way’ a 15 minute journey, strangely took 40 minutes. If the food was amazing it would have been worth it, we had to warm it up and the salad literally consisted of 2 small leaves, shocking food, shocking service!"

"no reason to book a table. I went to lunch and was greeted well. I found the service a little strange by writing the order on her place matte and eating is not entirely brought out, just as it is done. we switched server halfway through and the second was bad. they did not even smile and we had to follow the Dessert menu several times after they had accidentally brought out the bill. there was no excuse that eating was good. the net came out quickly and was of excellent quality. that was juicy. the tears and the nudes were nice. I didn't like sesameis with dessert, and the coating was pretty chewing. the heavenly tasted like perfume, although...read more"

"We visited the Trafford centre for my daughters birthday and gave her the option of where to eat. She chose tampopo. I’m not a fan of spicy food so was unsure on her choice…how wrong was I! The food was amazing and to top it off our waiter Jake could not do enough for us to make our visit as good as it could be. Even when we hadn’t decided on our main meals he allowed us to order our starters then came back for our main meal order. Jake is a credit to tampopo and considering his young age he delivers great service as if he has been doing it for years. We couldn’t have had a better experience than what we did and we will be sure to visit again and hopefully be served by Jake !"

"I went to wagamama and was helped by a lovely member of staff named Charlie. I am vegetarian and I also needed my food to be alcohol free, so Charlie checked all the options for me and in the end asked the chef to make me a dish that suited my dietary requirements. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend. I will definitely be going again"

"we have come here for years, although we are miles away for both cars living and not comparing them in any local. easy to park (either by shops) or small parking behind. eating is fresh and of high quality and the staff is very friendly and attentive (again to drinking top-ups etc., but not in their face). Sunday evening is a good value with buffet night, which is ordered by a menu. only negatiw is sometimes, when we were, we are sitting on a small table near a large table (8 plus) so that it can be a quite loud evening, so we will in future always ask to get away from larger parties that come."

"We went to Mexico 70 one evening before going to the football at the Stadium of Light. It's a nice small restaurant, but it's best to make a reservation as it doesn't have too many tables. What stands out about this place is the wide range of vegan options available - half of the tacos and three quarters of the side dishes are vegan. This is quite a rare find in meat-loving Sunderland! The menu has recently been updated, so some items mentioned in older reviews may not be available anymore. Unfortunately, they no longer have loaded fries, but there are still some tasty options to choose from. The taco fillings are not just traditional Mexican flavors; they draw inspiration from other cuisines such as onion bhaji tacos, Korean-inspired tacos, and BBQ jackfruit tacos. My personal favorite was the buffalo cauliflower tacos - they were delicious! While I enjoyed the food, I did find it a bit pricey, with each taco costing around £6. You can expect to spend about £50 for two people (excluding drinks) as you'll need at least three tacos each and a couple of side dishes to share. Update: We just found out that Mexico 70 will be closing next month, with their last day of service being February 24th. Be sure to enjoy their tacos while you still have the chance! "We order takeout from Sushi Life about once a month, but decided to dine in today. The service was excellent, the food was fantastic as always, and we were never disappointed. Without a doubt, our favorite sushi restaurant in Cardiff. We will definitely make an effort to dine in more frequently in the future."
