"pj’s is my neighboring cheek. I love eating and the ambiente. the waiter they had for us floats over us like a helicopter. we hardly sat down when he took our order. I asked him to bring us the drinks menu. he brought them and stood there and waited. I asked him to give us five minutes to see what we want to order. he finally got the buddies and left us. throughout the evening he always came to us every five minutes, interrupts our conversation that I had not seen for 6 months and we had much to pick up) to ask us if everything was in order. when it came to ask for the bill, he either acts a vanishing act or would not even look at our table. I had to stand up practically from my table and wave my white serviette to get his attention. I would have given my neighborhood cahangout and gemstone 5 stars if not on the superior and excessive behavior of the waiter. are more relaxed and treat people like guests in their facility."

Also got my drinks order wrong. All small things however a number of small things all add up and made my experience not so great."

"Having been here many times over the years, I am disappointed to be writing this review. We booked midday lunch as a group of 4, arriving early to await opening, as we were going to theatre matinee show. The manager? opened the door then let it go nearly in my face.. no welcoming hello or greeting. We then waited ages for drinks and then had to ask for food order to be taken. Meanwhile everyone who arrived after us had been attended to. Then a 45 minute wait for meals (again we had to ask) which left us with no time for pudding, coffee etc. My beef bourguignon was very fatty and unpleasant.. the other 3 meals looked much nicer. Sadly I won’t be returning."

"Well what can I say we were looking for food went here about 5pm and was fully booked, went for a walk about and went back couple hours later and a really lovely friendly man showed us to a table upstairs the place really busy and atmosphere really lovely, we later found out man owned restaurant. From beginning to end was amazing place, Waitress so helpful and gave us taxi numbers, and Ryan was brilliant and chatting and being busy whilst taking time for customers, food was really good and hot I had chicken Shuish and my partner had rack of ribs, menu good and drinks lovely we had cocktails. Place on back street of Blackpool near Blackpool Tower. Restaurant clean and tidy and so well run would absolutely recommend and use again next time in Blackpool."

"The four young waiters provided extremely unsatisfactory customer service. Despite the restaurant not being busy, with only three tables occupied, the waiters continuously returned to the desk to lean on it and chat amongst themselves. It was difficult to grab their attention as they avoided making eye contact, making it impossible to request anything. Despite asking for water glasses three times and requesting the bill twice, the waiters were unresponsive. One even rudely replied, "I've already given you the bill," when we inquired about paying. The food and atmosphere were fantastic, but the service was sorely lacking."

"Our server was incredibly nice, but unfortunately my steak came out incorrectly twice. I ordered it medium, but the first time it arrived well done. On the second attempt, it was rare. I decided not to ask for a third try, but for a steakhouse, they should know how to cook a steak properly. The drinks were excellent and strong, and the dessert was just average. Despite the issues with my meal, the service was commendable and went above and beyond."

"The food was excellent, as were the cocktails. Our waitress, who brought out our food and drinks, was beautiful, friendly, and a true asset to the venue. However, the experience started off on a sour note when the hostess who seated us bluntly pointed out that it was 6:05 PM and that the early bird and 2-for-1 cocktail deals ended at 6:30 PM. I'm not sure what the intention was behind that comment, but it felt quite rude. Despite this rocky beginning, the food and drinks were truly outstanding."

"this is our third time in london, the last time was 2019 for a week before the corona virus. we were at that time in this restaurant, the service and the food were so good that we went back there 4 times in the same visit. this time we arrived and booked in advance, we arrived and the whole menu is different. I understand that there has been price increases since the corona virus, but I would expect that if the prices rose twice, that at least the service would be appropriate. our waiter was very inkind and impatient. we felt like he didn't want to serve us and ask each one we frightened him. we waited for our appetizers for a long time and the main courses came before me. we had to ask about the court three times until we got it. we thought we were coming at least twice more to eat here on our trip and we will not return. even in juni, when we come back, we will not eat here because it is simply disappointing."

"Fabulous food as always, with plenty gluten free options (so nice to have a choice! ; service is excellent attentive, but not suffocating, staff take time to ensure everything is to your liking whilst providing great service with humour. I had baked camembert to start a small, tasty starter, with creamy camembert, then cod, with asparagus delicious, and the potatoes were to die for. I had the gluten free chocolate torte with raspberry coulis heavenly! This is a great place for everyday and for special occasions."

"The place was nice and we was seated at our table, we had to ask for a Drinks Menu. We ordered our meals, starters and mains, the starters were nice apart from the scotch egg which had no runny egg( but was told beforehand that this was down to the bird flu) we ordered the OX cheek, 2 Wagu burgers and a fillet steak.. the ox cheek was very nice.. however the 2 wagu burgers, we wasn't even asked how we would like these before ordering and to come out and they were both burnt!.. The fillet steak was ok, but the meat had been cut in half to see if they had cooked it correct..the only reason we didn't complain is that we were receiving the food at 50%... the service wasnt the best.. TBH I dont normally write reveiws but Felt I had to on this occasion"

"After visiting a special exhibition at the British Museum, we had lunch at this restaurant. We began with the crab and venison starters and shared a perfectly cooked medium rare beef dish. "I cannot speak highly enough of this place. Despite a stressful start and almost leaving because of our misbehaving dog, a staff member called to check if we were still coming. I mentioned we were in the parking lot and asked if they offered takeout. She quickly brought out a menu, reassured us we could sit in a corner to avoid any distractions for our dog, and things only improved from there. The drinks were superb, and the food even better. The steak was cooked perfectly (or not cooked at all, as I like it blue!), and was truly the best I've had in a long time. My friend devoured her scampi dish. My children enjoyed their meals as well, with one having the burger and the other fish fingers. We were thoroughly impressed with everything, especially the outstanding, friendly, and helpful staff. Thank you for an excellent dining experience."

"NEVER written a negative review BUT this visit experience warrants 1!! Arrived approximately 15 mins early no one greeted us, waiting staff walked by ignored us. Eventually a lovely member of staff came over apologised as didn’t know how 2 use system to book us in said Maitre d’ was on their break! Our assigned table was still occupied so given another table being able to access it was difficult as blocked by other diners!! Taken to the table had to ask for menu, Waited ages for our 2 drinks (10 -15 mins at least) Ordered our food but also our explained that our 3 guest would be joining us later! Another waitress checked on us we said could we order a main for our yet unarrived guest … YES no problem. 3rd guest arrived asked to order drink … again another 10-15 minute wait … chased drink. Main course arrived NO main for our 3rd guest …. Promised 5 mins definitely not 5 minutes for missing meal! Waitress tried to take our plates away whilst 1 of us 3 had yet to finish main! Then brought up dessert menu whilst last main was still being eaten! THE FOOD WAS GOOD! Then far too quickly wanted our dessert choices … another drink ordered another lengthy wait! When dessert arrived asked for bill! £17 service charge …. Then waited ages to pay bill so got coats on to hurry up paying ….. FOOD WAS GOOD but it was not busy, it was only enjoyable because of the company definitely WON’T RECOMMEND OR GO BACK"

"Called here for lunch , the pub is a lovely pub traditional with a nice feel and decor . service was good and pleasant staff . Worst of all when i was asked how was the meal when i paid i politely gave my opinion as above the rather precocious girl with an attitude offered no apology and just said that they were very busy and did not have staff . I remarked that i had been there since 7 pm and the restaurant was mostly empty so did not get the ‘busy’ bit she again no apology) just repeated they were busy and did not have staff. All she had to do was apologise and i would have felt slightly better about the whole experience. Not returning again"

"I shared the flatbread and hummus with someone for starter and it was ok, more hummus than there was bread and crudites. Then for main I had the aubergine ‘steak’ which was so small! It came with the tiniest bit of couscous to go with it and I was pretty disappointed, especially as it was almost a tenner! The only other vegan main option was vegetable curry, I wish I tried that instead. Overall it tasted nice but it’s really overpriced here. Only thing I would recommend are their cocktails and its a nice place."

"We arrived at as booked on the Saturday before Christmas. We were taken to the table, given menus and asked what we would like to drink. We chose an Australian Chardonnay from a selection of four or five whites. When the wine arrived we were asked what we would like to order to be told that there was no fish and no steak. Both of which would have been choices for my family. So the choice was burgers or pasta. We considered leaving but decided to stay. It took over an hour for the food to arrive, even though the restaurant was not busy, so we needed another bottle of wine: none left only Sauvignon Blanc When the food did arrive in fairness it was hot and tasty, the service was from a very tired waitress who tried to be helpful. But none of us actually hate what we would have had as a first choice So sorry to the restaurant but no recommendation from me."
