"The food was good as usual, but the service was terrible. We were not offered the usual bread basket to start, which other tables had already received. Additionally, we were not offered desserts or dessert menus. The staff seemed overwhelmed, as I had to pay at the bar after waiting a long time for the bill. When I politely shared my opinion on the meal when paying, a member of the staff responded with an attitude and simply blamed being busy and short-staffed. Despite being at the restaurant since 7:00 PM and the restaurant being mostly empty, they continued to use being busy as an excuse. A simple apology would have made the experience better, but unfortunately, it was not provided. I do not plan on returning."

Service and pub excellent. Ordered roast beef which was very fatty. Asked for a replacement which was only slightly better. Everything else and rest of our groups meals and desserts were lovely .

Great food, especially the children’s menu which has much better choices than most. Our only dissatisfaction was with the blue cheese fritters on the Yorkshire platter which had no flavour. Otherwise, we were very happy and will return.

We are regular customers here and other venues in the chain We try to avoid Sundays because it is busy and can be noisy. The food is always good with a varied menu and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We are great supporters of the 'pass port ' promotion .

I recently visited Crown and Cushion and once again was impressed with the food. I made a reservation for a special Saturday night dinner and despite the restaurant being busy, our dishes and drinks were served promptly. The service was efficient and friendly and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The Sunday meal was good. Potatoes needed to be crispier. The meat was good. The vegetables and gravy weren’t anything special. The cheeseboard was a lot of money for the portion I got 4 crackers. We had to say a number of times the sprite was not right. It was not as good as I was expecting which was a bit disappointing.
