"Great old coaching inn with excellent food at reasonable prices. We enjoyed a Sunday roast here in early June. Service was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the asparagus starter and the roast beef main too full to take a dessert! The roast beef was absolutely delicious. We would certainly recommend the White Hart for lunch if you're in the area."

"I have to admit that this is the first time I have been disappointed during a visit to this restaurant. It took a long time for our drinks order to be taken, and when it finally was, we eagerly placed our food order. The starter, a sharing Camembert, arrived without side plates, resulting in cheese spilling all over the table after we finished. The main course was satisfactory, but after our plates were cleared, we were not asked about dessert or if we wanted anything else. We waited patiently, hoping that our server would return, but she ended up clearing the table next to us and immediately offered them the dessert menu. After waiting for half an hour to see the menu, my partner had to walk up to the staff in another room to request the bill since we had given up on dessert. Although the staff apologized, it was already too late. As my partner and I don't get to go out for dates often, this experience ruined our evening. Service is crucial in any establishment, regardless of whether it serves pub food or Michelin-starred cuisine. It shouldn't be difficult to provide excellent service and be attentive, but it is clear that the wait staff did not want to be there. I hope that this was an isolated incident, but we will not be returning anytime soon."

"Jamie’s italian in merchant city is known in Great Britain. we went to dinner on Tuesday. the place was almost empty. we waited a few minutes before sitting.The decor is nice and cozy. the staff is very friendly and helpful. br/>We ordered various dishes as we were several. I personally had the Spinat ravioli. it was good, the sauce was a bit heavy, but overall it is a good dish to order. the desserts are very tasty. the icy laces are however very small."

"Charming and quaint setting, discreetly tucked away behind Bond st. Food was delicious. Burrata was probaby the freshest I have tasted. I wanted the Avocado and eggs from the brunch menu but they had run out of avocado. The Halloumi fries were very nice. The truffle chips were delish as well. On the downside, they do not have a No Smoking policy outside, so you are forced to inhale second hand smoke, if you want to sit outside. Very unpleasant."

"Located on the A350, this pub boasts a great location with a spacious car park and ample seating inside. The staff are friendly and attentive. However, we were disappointed with the food we ordered. My wife's mac n cheese was small, cold, and lacking in flavor. My club sandwich was served cold, with barely cooked bacon. Overall, we were unsatisfied with our experience and will not be returning."

"It was disappointing that the otherwise delicious vegan chickpea burger could only be served in a brioche bun that contained both eggs and milk, which meant I couldn't have the sandwich. As a result, I paid the same price for just one burger, without any additional salad and no alternative bread option offered. The waitress mentioned a different type of bread roll, but didn't seem very enthusiastic about me trying it, so I decided to go without. Overall, I found my meal to be pleasant but not particularly great. The other dishes at the restaurant were good, but as a vegan, I felt like I was missing out once again. It would be nice to see more vegan options that cater to different dietary needs."

"I took my fiancé ' to the Tunbridge Wells Eating House on Saturday night and we both really enjoyed it. The décor is lovely although we had one of the only tables with just chairs which was a bit annoying as I usually like to offer the cushioned bench seat to her but this is a very minor niggle that is personal to me. Overall the service was great although I did notice the adjacent table had to wave for the waitress to get her attention but I believe that was to pop outside for a cigarette so they were likely being slightly impatient anyway. I had a sausage roll starter and venison pie for main and she had olives and rump steak which was all very very tasty and as my fiancé is pregnant they made here a lovely raspberry and lime mocktail which was really to our liking. I 'm sure we 'll be heading back there soon for dinner, lunch /or breakfast again at some point."

"We had visited The Botanist in York and loved the atmosphere so, as we were staying in Berkeley Square for the evening, we wanted to visit somewhere local and this was on the doorstep. The bar was bright and lively and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I had booked a table but wanted to change it due to our friends not joining us until later and this was amended by the staff until a later date with no problem at all. We enjoyed it so much that, after we had eaten, we called in again later that evening for drinks. Great atmosphere and plenty of seating, inside and out. I would recommend The Botanist in Bristol and will definitely be visiting again"

"We visited for a late lunch, and it was good that we could take our dog in. The service was very good, though food choice had limitations for vegetarians. However, we felt uncomfortable during most of our meal, the table we were at, had a...high table for two to our right; fifteen minutes into our visit this high table became occupied. We could hear all conversations, which at times was embarrassing, one, because we felt we were intruding by becoming unintentional eves droppers. Two, because some topics of conversation were of a personal nature. Although we tried to hold conversations, and not focus on the people over our shoulder, this became strenuous while trying to eat our meals. Maybe this one area of seating could be rethought."

"The staff were all polite and attentive, although two dropped plates while we were there seemed a little clumsy. Out of four main meals, only two were good; an award winning pie had stodgy undercooked pastry and the vegan shepherds pie, described as being full of mushrooms and kale in a tomato sauce, was 99% lentil and very dry. A single mushroom slice was very disapointing. The celery that was served with the baked Camembert was inedible, stringy and discoloured down the middle of every stalk. On the plus side, the beer battered fish was melt in the mouth, our request for gluten free bread with the starter was brought out without hesitation, the apple juice was crisp and fresh and the americano coffee was extremely flavoursome. We've never visited here before and wonder if the popularity of the restaurant, every table was in use on a Tuesday lunchtime, has led to a drop in quality, as other reviews i read prior to booking were all very good"

"While the service and friendliness at this restaurant were exceptional, the Sunday roasts left much to be desired. The beef was tough and difficult to chew, and the pork was mostly fat with little meat. On a positive note, the vegetables and desserts were enjoyable. The prawn cocktail was a unique dish, and the whitebait was tasty. Overall, the dining experience was not great, especially since I was treating my friends."

"I booked, in secret, for my wife's birthday. I had asked them if I could pre order the food so we didn't have to wait as we were tight on time. I also asked if they could hold onto her gift from me and present it to her with the wine. All went perfectly with superb friendly service, amazing steaks, great value red wine. "we went to the bella for a tasty bite and try our local ice cream place. we usually go to another salon in the south, no names, because I'm not sure if I can put names on this. it is not cheating, at £37 for 2 adults and 2 children, but they are 13 years old and eat like adult. it costs a lot for ice, but it is not just ice. we had the 2 waffels, a chocolate brownie sunflower, and the doughnut thing that they see in the picture, but can not remember it is name, 1 milkshake and a bottle fanta. the portions are large, the ice is delicious and they have a lot to choose from the menu, I was happy to pay for eating and how nice it was. the workers are really nice and friendly, and considering how busy it was, we were served quite quickly. what I would say, this is negatiw an bella if they have to sit in them and order them from the to the table, but not really biggie, but I would like to order from the table. it's the same with other ice salons I was on, though. the only other was how to load it was inside, it sounds so echoey. I don't say a big problem just my thoughts. we will now go back to our local, and then we have others."

"We had a very mixed experience here, the welcome was good and we were sat at our reserved table promptly however we were not given any menus or any offer of a drink. "Due to a technology malfunction our meal took 40 minutes to arrive. It would have been good PR to have at least offered a complimentary drink or dessert. The food was fine although I would not have ordered the cauliflower cheese if I had known it was very light on the cheese sauce. The table behind had two dogs which created more noise than is really acceptable. I have eaten there several times and have not had a bad experience before. Hopefully it was just a blip and I would probably go back there again."

"We love The Ship! Great views in a beautiful environment and the food and drink are great. However, on our last couple of visits we have found the staff a little impatient and even rude at times. The service was sluggish and it can seem that the customers are a bit of an inconvenience to them at times! It does get busy and is very popular, for good reason, but a refresher on customer service wouldn't go amiss!! Food, atmosphere and location were first class although a little disappointed that the Sunday roasts had gone by the evening."

"We came to Room43 after reading lots of positive reviews, and found the food descriptions particularly appealing. Our first impression was positive, as it felt quite cosy inside, and one particular waiter was very energetic. This waiter made us some cocktails which were delicious. That said, things went downhill from there. It took quite a while before the other waiter decided to take our food order. We ordered eight dishes between the two of us, as these are small plates. Eight was slightly too many I'd suggest 3 dishes per person should be enough. Our main issue was the flavours of the dishes, which were severely lacking. The salmon and the chicken had seemingly no herbs or spices on them as they tasted like plain baked salmon and chicken. The okra and lamb stews, and the smoked aubergine starter all tasted like tinned tomatoes and nothing else. The calamari was decently crispy but, again, lacked flavour and the pieces of actual seafood were quite small in comparison to the amount of batter. The lentil and mango salad had too many lentils and too little else once the mango was gone, we were eating plain lentils with no dressing or flavour. Finally, we are pretty sure the vine leaves are in fact the Asda vine leaves, which taste fine, but the mark up was quite substantial. Overall, we were expecting a flavour explosion based on the menu descriptions, but we in fact just had a disappointingly bland meal. My boyfriend also thought the music was a touch too loud for a dinnertime slot maybe a post dinner performance, from say 9pm, would be more appropriate, or a pre dinner cocktail performance from 5 7pm. In any case, don't have loud music on when people are trying to converse over dinner. We also found it a little odd to have a jazz band there as the ambiance and decor in the restaurant do not feel suited to a jazz band it's not a very opulent venue."

"I don't even know where to begin with this place. The restaurant has huge stained glass windows that look impressive from the street. There are plenty of parking spaces available. The building itself is absolutely beautiful and has a fascinating history. It is located in a lovely area, just a short walk to the clifftops. I spent two nights here for my birthday and had an amazing time! The interior of the building is absolutely stunning, with art everywhere, wooden paneling on the walls, and magnificent fireplaces scattered throughout. The service in the dining room was friendly and efficient. The food was of a very high standard, with plenty of options on the menu to choose from. We stayed in a luxury double room with a sea view that was simply gorgeous, especially at sunset. The room was clean, tidy, and well-decorated, with plenty of space. The bed was huge and very comfortable. I have to give a special shoutout to Stu and Care (the ginger girls) who not only excelled at their jobs, but also went above and beyond to make my birthday special. Stu was attentive and caring, while Care was a big ball of energy and laughter. These two employees really made my stay unforgettable. The entire staff was wonderful, but these two stood out to me. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic getaway."

"We arrived at Lulworth Cove around 4pm and decided to stop by the Inn to see if we could make a reservation for later that evening. The staff at the bar were friendly and quickly found us a table for 6:30pm. When we returned for our meal, the service was exceptional and the food was excellent. My partner ordered the award-winning steak pie (voted England's Best Steak Pie in 2015) and was very impressed with the tender steak filling. I chose the beetroot and mackerel salad, which was delicious with plenty of olives, peppers, and a flavorful dressing. For dessert, my partner had the rhubarb crumble with custard, while I enjoyed the locally-made chocolate and Dorset clotted cream ice cream. Overall, we had a great experience and felt that we had made a fantastic choice by dining at this restaurant. We highly recommend it."
