"The pub is actually quite nice, little on the pricey side, food is overall decent but no price on the kids meal and had to ask before ordering. Pub was very busy and raining when we went. Father in law is disabled and couldn't sit the family together due to him being unable to sit on a high stool. Luckily a nice couple let him and our son sit with them. Food was of decent quality and we ate. Sadly in a pub with at least 15 dogs in and busy, we were sat by the toilet door and every time the door was opened our dogs barked. After we had finished the barman shouted over to us that they were a dog friendly pub but if the dogs kept barking we would be asked to leave. It was a difficult situation due to how busy it was due to raining and proximity to the toilet door and dogs constantly walking past (also barking). The barman didn't have the decency to come over and have a conversation and we were stopping the dogs when they did bark. Luckily we had finished our food and promptly left the pub. Ironically later in the afternoon we went to a different pub The White Hart and no such issues."

Truly terrible food. Over fried mushroom, over fried French fries. Dry chicken, poor quality ham. On the plus side the drinks are good quality and the staff are lovely.

The only people who can provide such a warm welcome are the canons of Bristol Cathedral. It is important to note that you must make a reservation in order to dine at this restaurant. Pretty amazing, right? View menu

Very picturesque building. Friendly staff. Centrally located in Weymouth. Clean. Hot drinks were slow to come out. Had a roast dinner. Chicken was soft but unfortunately all vegetables were frozen, which I don’t personally like. Even the cauliflower cheese was frozen. Roast potatoes were frozen, tasted cheap and were hard. Yorkshire pudding was tasteless and dry. Tiny jug of gravy served with each plate, but really wasn’t enough. The food was average which is a shame for such a beautiful pub.

So glad we gave this place a go it's much larger inside than you realise and really nicely decked out. We had a little table in an alcove which was nice and private overlooking the harbour which looked lovely with all the lights. Service was great Sharon our waitress was polite, attentive, friendly and the overall service was quick (but not too quick you worry your food has just been microwaved! . Overall a lovely meal, food was great (bit too much on the plate but better than not enough ! We would definitely recommend and certainly go back ourselves. View menu

This place was super busy today, which is a good testament to what they produce, staff and the food; slightly wrong in that the food was average (that’s generous). We ordered the roast beef, which was a mistake, as I had a feeling what would come out. The vegetables were lovely, with a little variety, the Yorkshire budding was fluffy and tasty; it went down hill from there. When you say roast potatoes, you expect roast, not deep fried; terrible. The beef was tough, fatty and mass prepared and packed, then reheated (that’s how it tasted). Is it too hard to actually cook meat then carve it up, same with roast potatoes; just cook them properly. Your missing a trick folks, the food was average,...

We had a reservation for six people to celebrate a birthday while on vacation. We arrived half an hour early and our table was already set up, which was very convenient. There were six adults and two dogs in our group. Although the restaurant was 'dog friendly,' there were no additional menu items available for pets or water bowls provided. It felt like the dogs were tolerated rather than welcomed. However, we brought our own supplies so it wasn't a big issue for us. It seemed like we arrived at a bad time or on a bad day as the two staff members we encountered seemed very unhappy. Ordering drinks and food felt like a burden to them, which made us feel uncomfortable. We ended up leaving afte...
