The Seven Stars, Stroud

The food at this restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. However, the desserts were disappointing.

We went for a Sunday lunch (booking ahead is highly advised). I forgot to say in advance that there was a wheelchair user in our party and that was no problem at all. The food was plentiful and fairly inexpensive.

Visited here for my Birthday meal and extremely disappointed. Booked a table for and ordered drinks at the bar. Asked for a certain vodka and coke, poor bar maid had no idea what I was on about and poured Smirnoff hey ho View menu

a great fund after a visit to petersfield and back to winchester. with the family for lunch. great choice for all in a beautiful place. really well furnished and great coworkers to take and deliver orderings of eating and drinking. had a lot of food from fish and chips to camembert, steaks to cake. also decent options to take care of the requirements of my daughter (vegetarian). also good beer. would not hesitate to visit again in the future!

very bad experience on the seven stars recently. days after a birthday party, we accidentally discovered another credit card payment for a round of drinks that we had not ordered. the manager argued that we had ordered these drinks from the bar, but all our drinks were ordered on the table. after three other phone calls they admitted that it was her fault, but did not offer any form of good willingness. integrity is everything. after years of family special occasions on the seven stars we will not return. A lovely pub, perfect food and great drinks. We were served by a very friendly and attentive Donna. My partner and I went for our anniversary meal and hoped to enquire about hosting our wedding reception there. We ordered the baked Camembert starter to share...which was simply amazing, with the fish and chips, and ham, egg and chips as our main meals both cooked to perfection Donna was very helpful and knowledgeable, able to answer our questions with enthusiasm and refer other questions on. We love this place and will definitely be back!

booked for a group dinner, ordered as desired, and still had to wait to serve eds, although to numerous occasions if it would come as some had to leave immediately. all the cash you finally arrived after minutes of persecution., an eating was whipped in the middle without a word of apology, as it is considered the wrong order! at no time we all ate together because the time passes. there were no excuses for the frightening service and despite the complaint it took some time to be offered a discount on the next visit, not one of the group can be convinced to return at any price!

We visited for a late lunch, and it was good that we could take our dog in. The service was very good, though food choice had limitations for vegetarians. However, we felt uncomfortable during most of our meal, the table we were at, had a...high table for two to our right; fifteen minutes into our visit this high table became occupied. We could hear all conversations, which at times was embarrassing, one, because we felt we were intruding by becoming unintentional eves droppers. Two, because some topics of conversation were of a personal nature.
