"I've been coming to the Harrow for 30 years and it sets the benchmark for every other pub I try. It's a beautiful building with a big table at which the locals always invite you to join them and large fireplace taking up most of the main room. The garden is great too, or you can sit out the front of the pub. The landladies run the pub perfectly, one front of house and the other in the kitchen, where food is cooked in/on an Aga. It's a limited menu but delicious and most of it served with a big slab of warm bread. Beer is local and comes straight from the barrel. A warning it's cash only, so come prepared."

Great ploughman’s, love that this pub was tucked away and had a beautiful garden, enjoyed the walk to get there also

Lunch is simple , it’s a ploughman’s, you get lovely fresh bread a big chunk of cheese butter and salad . A little more chutney/ pickle would go amiss.

Simple but delicious food, great beer and a lovely atmosphere...everything a good British pub should offer can be found at The Harrow Inn. Leave the modern world behind and delight in this charming and unspoilt pub. Make sure you take cash as it doesn't accept cards.....another plus. View menu

Always a pleasure to be there, a unique and comfortable pub, no-nonsense food, good cider and perry, and friendly charming service. A complete joyous absence of the modish and dispiriting. Treasure it. (Take cash, no cards, and respect them for running the business the way they are happy to.

Our cycling group incorporated a long distance ride here. A pilgrimage to this perfectly preserved pub (could have been 1922 not 2022). Food was amazing. Simple, generous and exceptional ingredients. Exquisite ale! Fascinating interiors, but due to a warm day/filthy from the ride we were outside amidst the sectioned cottage garden planting.

Some decades since our last visit and nothing has changed. Menu is reassuringly short and includes the famous pea ham soup (a complete meal in its own right), sturdy quiche and fine cottage pie. The beer comes straight from the barrel and is delicious. There is only one white wine, a Pinot Grigio, which is OK. If you like a traditional pub this is the place for you. Fabulous. View menu

A very quirky pub which offers a limited menu. A haphazard array of tables with lots of books and flower pots. Cash only which is so weird. Can’t remember the last time I carried cash. No till so everything has to be added up mentally. A good brain train for the staff no doubt. Toilets outside. Not particularly clean. Maybe that’s why there’s hand gel on the tables. The flan was lovely until a great long hair got caught in my teeth. Would I go again? No. Prefer to know what I’m eating and also absolutely nothing for people with allergies.

Been before but don’t think again. Best roast beef sandwich however, the wine is a lot to be desired. £25 for a bottle of Barefoot Pino Grigio is taking the Mickey! You can buy this rubbish for around £4 in the coop. Having been in the pub trade myself, I know the score and usually you mark up 3 times cost. It was ordered without seeing the price they charge so had to have it as the screw top was taken off. This should be £15 quid tops. Also, why offer 125 ml silly little eye wash glasses ? Why can you not have 175ml? Their wine cellar is a lot to be desired…….. will we go back, no.
