"A great restaurant in the centre of Betws-y-coed. There is parking next to the restaurant, which is cheaper than parking at the church next door. We ate outside in the sunshine on the vast terrace. You can order your food via a qr code on the table I'd rather speak to a person) or you can go inside and order from the lovely staff behind the bar. I had hunter's chicken with crispy fries, a small salad and a creamy coleslaw. My friend had a pizza which looked delicious and my other friend had gammon, egg, pineapple and fries. All washed down with a cold glass of pinot. There are heaters above the tables when the temperature is a bit cooler. Lovely venue. Lovely staff. Lovely food. Food drinks: Excellent Service: 5 Location: 5"

"I stumbled upon a gem of a restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I received a warm welcome. The owner was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and his passion for food and drinks was evident. Louise, who served us, was charming, elegant, and friendly. The fact that they offered a generous garlic scone as an amuse bouche already had me impressed. The starter of king scallops and black pudding on a bed of pea jus was exquisite, and the light Albariño wine enhanced the flavors perfectly. The steak pie, with hand-cut chips and seasonal vegetables, was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, paired beautifully with a Rioja crianza. I was so impressed that I booked a table for two days later while still enjoying my starter. The dessert options were tempting, but I chose the meringue with strawberry ice cream and Chantilly cream, accompanied by a glass of Australian Chardonnay dessert wine. The quality of the food and the skill in its preparation and presentation made the reasonable cost seem like a steal. I left the restaurant incredibly satisfied and looking forward to returning. This establishment has set a high standard for all other local restaurants. Thank you."

"I made a reservation at Jaspers for myself and a guest on the 22nd. We were promptly greeted and seated. The restaurant had a charming and cozy decor. We ordered drinks, including a delicious Lychee cocktail. Our starters, the pan fried squid and langoustines, arrived in about 10 minutes and were outstanding. The squid dish had a fantastic sauce, and the langoustines were plentiful and succulent. For our main course, we enjoyed a whole sea bream and Linguine. The portion sizes were generous, the fish was moist and flavorful, and the seafood in the linguine was plentiful and diverse. The service throughout the meal was attentive, courteous, and efficient. Overall, I would give Jaspers a 5-star rating as it was a delightful surprise."

"Excellent quality of food and drink in very comfortable surroundings with a joyful and friendly service to match. It is quite refreshing to experience a setting where there is much laughter and camaraderie between the staff members (and with myself too), and nothing was too much trouble for the staff to meet our requirements. The 3 course meal and drinks cost £74.50 which we thought was excellent value since cocktails and liquor coffee were purchased as well. Well recommended. Kid-friendliness: Children's menu available plus highchairs available. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access location, disabled toilets on the ground floor and very helpful staff are in attendance."

"Stopped for a cream tea which the wife enjoyed. Usual 2 scones provided with jam and clotted cream and a good pot of tea. They normally do Gluten Free cream tea but due to high demand had sold out of GF scones. They were however able to supply GF cheese scones so I had a savoury version of cream tea, 2 GF cheese scones, a tomato chutney and a cream cheese. Was very nice and would recommend."

"I went here last night to get away from the over priced average food at the village hotel I was staying at. Pub is traditional and comfortable, staff were lovely and full of smiles. Food was excellent, big portions, home made and everything I ate was spot on. Meat just fell off the ribs, home made southern fried coating on well cooked chicken. Loads of dessert option, homemade sponges and cheesecakes. I had an excellent lemon drizzle. Well priced too, I only felt terrible as I didn't have any cash to tip my waitress, and wished there was a gratuity option on the contactless payment, which she fully deserved. Next time I'm in I will make up for it!"

"It was complete chaos at this restaurant. Sauces were brought out but after waiting 20 minutes, I had to ask about the actual food. Watching chefs throw food onto plates with their bare hands was not a pleasant sight. When I asked to speak to the manager about the issues, she tried to blame it on the heat affecting the staff. As someone who has worked in the food industry for thirteen years, I found this excuse to be ridiculous. A friend of mine received new potatoes instead of baked potatoes, which was strange. I returned the dish. To top it off, it took ten minutes to sort out the bill because of mistakes. Despite these issues, the food itself was enjoyable. However, I am still waiting for my change from the bill. The manager should be ashamed of the poor service."

"Warnes is my favorite restaurant of all time. The food is always incredible every single time, the service is fantastic, nice atmosphere; every visit just reiterates how great it is. I have been possibly in excess of 10 times have never had a bad meal or experience. The belly pork main dish has a cult following for very good reason. the sticky toffee pudding is next level. Also enjoy the dirty fries on the lunch menu, super tasty, the cheesy garlic bread is insanely good watch out for the tiny loaf of bread with the soup! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Recommended dishes: Curried Sweet Potato Samosas, Squash, Beef Burger Dietary restrictions: I have visited with members of the family who require gluten free Warnes has an extensive menu which provides this dietary requirement without losing any of the quality."
"Really delicious food in a fantastic setting. Went for the Harvey's Sussex Bitter, the best beer this side of Germany. Followed by the sausage and mash. Mash was really tasty as was the onion gravy, the vegetables that came separately were delicious as well especially once soaked in the gravy! As for the sausages themselves, these were great. You got three of them on the bed of mash, and they were big ol' things very herby and tasty. The food was extremely hearty and filling, which was almost disappointing as I wanted to have room for the chocolate brownie sundae! But alas, I'll have to save that for next time. My girlfriend had the beef burger, which was also another huge affair. But she seemed very happy and it looked delicious. The pub itself is really nice too, well worth a visit even without eating as the low ceilings and big wooden beams take you right back to the 15th century. Also a lot of interest to be had in looking at all the antiques gathered along the wall, no doubt collected after years of people drinking in that establishment!"

"Gréât location and good service. I’ve eaten here for breakfast and it was good. Just had an evening meal there because of the reviews and was left disappointed. Service again was good but the food was just ok. Pork was dry and the French beans looked to be past their sell by date. The reviews of food are always subjective as it’s down to personal perspective and experience, I do think there is easy room for improvement here. For now I will stick to their breakfasts and coffee"
"The beds were comfortable and the shower was good. The food and drinks at the restaurant were excellent. The rooms were top-notch, receiving a 5 out of 5 rating. The service was also exceptional, earning another 5 out of 5 rating. The location of the hotel was perfect, receiving a 5 out of 5 rating as well. Overall, the highlights of the hotel included luxury accommodations, a great view, and excellent value for the price."

"The Stag Inn is a delightful looking pub overlooking the small green in the village of Barkston near Grantham. Internally the pub is clean and tidy with a range of two and four seater tables with New England shades of light blue on the painted table legs in the restaurant area. We didn’t venture into the pub side so can’t vouch for the decor in there. We arrived unannounced just after opening time of 12 and were offered a table with no difficulty. There was a menu of the usual offerings of fish and chips and a range of burgers together with roast salmon, chargrilled pork chop, a leek and cauliflower cheese pot pie, ham egg and chips and a vegetable lasagne amongst others. A specials chalkboard hung on the far wall and the crab and prawn salad with Mediterranean bread sounded so good we both opted for it. That was a mistake as we were to find out. The meals were reasonably quick to arrive and were served up in two large bowls with a dusting of paprika round the edges. What hit me immediately was the large flaccid green lettuce leaf draped over the edge of the bowl, together with a whole half-a-lemon that we each had. A small wedge would be perfect. The bread tasted sweet and was as far from the Mediterranean as it could possibly be apart from the occasional input of sundried tomato. What irked me most though was that the bread was delivered up pre-buttered with what looked like some bright yellow catering spread. A small ramakin of real butter between the two of us would work so much better. When asked if everything was okay I mentioned this and was told that chef would be informed. Having said all that the crab and prawn salad was full of flavour and sat on a nice mixed salad of red peppers, lettuce, red onion and cornichons. A word of advice to the wise….. don’t sit at the table near the restaurant counter as this is where the pub’s phone is located. On at least two occasions the phone was left to ring unanswered by the staff, presumably as they were busy elsewhere (the pub was by no means full) and was right behind my head! The volume of the ringer was high and it would have been a more pleasant experience for us if, firstly, it was answered and, secondly, the volume was turned down. On the plus side the staff were polite and helpful but the food not so great."

"The food was good, however it took a long time for us to be served, and my partner was left waiting for his meal for a long while after the rest of us were served. It wasn't great. We also had three different people come to talk to us about issues with stock availability etc. with the desserts, when they told us what wasn't available from the main menu at the start of the meal perhaps something like that should be offered for dessert also. Service: Dine in"

"The Maltings is a wonderful dining destination. We've visited several times with our son and grandson, and each meal has been delightful. The ambiance is lovely, impeccably clean, and the staff is exceptional—always friendly, helpful, and welcoming, with a willingness to assist that never falters. There’s an outdoor play area for the kids, as well as an indoor play space. Overall, it's a fantastic place to eat."
