"I cannot recommend this fabulous place enough. My husband booked a surprise birthday lunch for me and organised for my sister to be there from Eastbourne with her family. Considering we had driven down from North West Cumbria the night before and the logistics of organising a meet up without me knowing was a credit to the staff, especially Georgie and Morgan. They were in on the surprise and the service was phenomenal as was the food. They even came out with a complementary bottle of fizz for me. Thank you again for a very warm welcome. Apologies to the other diners for my screams of surprise and delight when I saw my family waiting for me."

"I love going to this pub. Been many many times and never disappointed with the service or the food. Sunday Roast is simply amazing too. And all priced within our range of allowing yourself a treat once in awhile. Please try it for yourself you won't be disappointed."

"I've had some of the most uninspiring food in years at this restaurant. I ordered the ultimate burger, and while I’m not usually one to complain about waiting, when your meal arrives faster than it would at a busy McDonald's, that's a red flag. The bun was squished and seemed poorly defrosted. There was also a strange pulled pork topping that I wasn’t expecting. The coleslaw was soggy, and I only received two tiny onion rings. This meal was twice the price of what I’d pay at a Wetherspoons, yet the quality was nowhere near comparable (and let’s be honest, Wetherspoons isn’t exactly fine dining). On a positive note, the coffee and brownie were enjoyable. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"Just had specials meal. Starter 5 breaded mushrooms over cooked, nearly burnt. Main course steak chewy and only warm, chips overcooked and soggy, peppercorn sauce tasteless. Burger burnt round edges lacked seasoning, cheese on urger tasteless.. Anything that had to b cooked was poor. Roulard was nice, no need to be cooked just thawed out. Service was good. Very poor meal, will not go back. They are misding a trick, give tasty and wel cooked food and you will get repeat customers. Quite simple but travelling man do not seem to understand this basic requirement"

"it was a toss-up between fishing or ice cream of nardini’s and nardini’s won hands down. my mother had a beautiful knickerbocker glory, she said it was absolutely delicious, she fought to finish it, it was so big. I had a beautiful lemon pavlowa sunflower, it was filled with lemon sorbet, vanilleeis, mini-mygues, white chocolate curls and lemon and lemon sauce. it was from this world. when they visit largs, nardini is a must."
"Nice meal out at @axe_cleaver tonight... I had the very tasty boneless beef rib with some very rich gravy, mash and veg followed by a gorgeous bakewell tart and custard...! Tried the @jamesonuk orange whisky...! Very nice indeed...! SO nice I even created a new drink of a hot chocolate with a shot of the orange whisky in and Terry's chocolate orange would be jealous how nice it tasted...! Even had to call at Tesco on the way home to grab a bottle to have some more when I got home...! Thanks to the smiling Beacon Brian (Dawn serving us with a smile and pleasant conversstion...! (Helping us top up the drinks bill along the way...! Great food, great service, great company..."

"Today we celebrated Mother's Day for the first time at this restaurant and it was lovely! There were 6 adults and 3 children in our group, ranging in ages from 21 months to 7 years old, and we had made a reservation in advance. The food was delicious, the ambiance was beautiful, and the decor was warm and welcoming. Despite being busy, we were well taken care of by all the staff. Some of us had been before, but it was my first time and I have to say it was some of the best tasting food I've had for lunch or dinner in a long time! The chef offers a wide selection of dishes on the menu, and each dish we tried was cooked to perfection, fresh, hot, and homemade (even the children's meals) and all in generous portion sizes. We were all very satisfied. The dessert choices were also excellent, offering something for everyone. The chefs here are truly an asset to their team! We will definitely be returning and recommending this place to everyone. It's a great pub with great food and service. If you haven't been before, give it a try, you won't be disappointed. It's perfect for a special occasion or a cozy dinner with family and friends."
"Sunday lunch was really tasty and hot; well above average. I would have chosen lamb but as it wasn't on the menu had beef which was good. Really delicious roast potatoes and parsnips. We would recommend Sunday lunch here. Price per person: £10–20 Recommended dishes: Beef Sunday Lunch"

"Called in on a day out in Truro. We were searching for somewhere to eat, and quite by luck we came across Chorleys. We looked at the menu outside, and were drawn in by that and the amazing aromas wafting out. Three of us each had a different burger, and shared some peri peri fries, which had a lovely kick to them, and the crispiest onion rings we’ve ever tasted. The food was of the highest quality, and the gentleman serving us was extremely polite and good at his job. We explained that one of our group had a dairy allergy, which was no problem and the cheese on that persons burger was exchanged for a dairy free alternative. We are visiting Cornwall again in a few weeks, and will travel down to Truro from Bude to eat there again. Always really tasty and warm and always ready at time specified. Great combination with sister company le petit cafe too. Long overdue review sorry!"

"We came for Sunday lunch and a chicken basket. The Sunday lunch was very basic and incredibly salty. I asked for more gravy aa it was dry and relieved what is in the picture. All over the sides as if it had been dipped in a pot. The chicken and chips were absolutely covered in salt. Inedible as so salty and ruined the meal. Very disappointed. Food: 1"

"came here for a lunch / dinner on the other day unfortunately. place was relatiw busy, I don't really see how, unless it's just full of natives. it was a Sunday so that they had roasted dinner on the menu. I asked for a lasagne instead of a...Roast because it was on the menu. but the waitress was persevering that she had to check with the kitchen that she could cook a lasagne as his Sunday. Why do they give me a menu if they only make roasts? the cook suddenly forget how to cook the menu when it is a sunday? hahaha. honest. wow. I had my bliss. to be fair, it was a beautiful lasagne. can't blame it. credit of the cook (he remembered clearly how to cook a lasagne in the last mint. thanks to life saving. the waitresses were very snotty. I don't know why, but they didn't want to answer any questions or talk to us at all. I didn't really want to smile either. oh and it was the love one of the waitresses used, a good hour behind me and gave us that eye so that we leave our table. yes, if we repel ourselves from a table, is super-love from you. defined does not come back. unless they want to watch fun and be treated badly by servers that have a stick on the back."

"I recently visited the Christmas market in Gloucester and highly recommend it. On my way back, I stopped at the Fromebridge for a Sunday carvery, which was my first time trying it. I had a fantastic experience! There was a generous amount of meat—I chose turkey and gammon, both perfectly cooked. I also managed to pile on seven vegetables, three types of potatoes, and plenty of stuffing. Unfortunately, the pigs in blankets I ordered were supposed to be delivered to the table but never arrived, though it wasn't a big issue. My only suggestion would be to keep the vegetables warm, as they tend to get cold even under the heat lamps. A little extra heat would definitely enhance the meal. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and the staff were as attentive and friendly as ever."

"What an absolute gem of a find. Only went due to a Groupon voucher but would certainly recommend this bistro to anyone as the food was absolutely delicious, much tastier then some of the most popular expensive restaurants in Middlesbrough that iv been too The lay out of the bistro was relaxing and the staff friendly. Loved the quirky features which give room lots of character, from the copper pipe candle holders to the scrabble letters made out to your reserved name. I am definitely going again"

"I recently tried out this new restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I usually reserve five-star ratings until after multiple visits, but after considering everything and hearing positive feedback from others, it is clear that this restaurant is top-notch. While prices may be slightly higher than some places, the quality of the food definitely justifies it. The vegetarian options were plentiful and delicious, with even the simplest dishes being well-prepared and flavorful. I particularly enjoyed the garlic ciabatta bread that accompanied the pumpkin and sage pasta parcels. Overall, a fantastic dining experience at a well-maintained restaurant."

"Nice tasty food, friendly staff, would return. It's in a bit of a strange location, so wasn't busy, which sometimes is off putting, but had regular take away/deliveries, and we don't like busy places as our son has autism, but it was a good place for him as had lots of lights and a train around the ceiling which was fun."

"Brilliant food and service! Couldn’t fault them at all! Accommodated to our requests! Highly recommend the fish and chips! Chips were sooo good! And save room for puddings! We had a mixture and they were all so good!!! Will definitely be back!"
