"it was a toss-up between fishing or ice cream of nardini’s and nardini’s won hands down. my mother had a beautiful knickerbocker glory, she said it was absolutely delicious, she fought to finish it, it was so big. I had a beautiful lemon pavlowa sunflower, it was filled with lemon sorbet, vanilleeis, mini-mygues, white chocolate curls and lemon and lemon sauce. it was from this world. when they visit largs, nardini is a must."

Just as I remember from my teens in the late 70s, Nardinis didn't dissapoint. A wonderful authentic art deco restaurant, maintained and decorated in sympathy with its vintage. Mouth watering treats and delicious drinks. Wheelchair friendly. Use the back door in the car park to gain admission if you travel on wheels.

I arrived on Sunday afternoon without reservation on a sunny day. the staff was very friendly and the service was fast. we had a nice table at the window and all decided to fish and chips. with three soft drinks and a tee. the total bill came to £46 plus a tipp, £52. they were substantial portions and delicious. could not manage ice cream! definitiw must be in largs.

I had heard everything about this place so it was great to experience it myself. I was on vacation and we had a day in largs. I like the art deco style of the building and the traditional interieur. we all had the fish and chips and it was nice, a very generous help. it was quite busy for a Tuesday afternoon time that was a good sign. I enjoyed my first visit, and I hope it won't be too long before I get a revisit.

"Magic sea. we went about 6 months ago after fins had threatened for years. that was worth waiting for us to arrive a little early before they had changed the prices on the boards, that was lucky because they had the decision to offer us the meal times at the price at the arrival, result. to every way back to the foods that the woman had the scalopps and black pudding and I had the langoustines. I was a little confused by the cutlery laid in front of me, pliers and a funny fork, but it was good when I asked the waitress what I should do with it and she showed me pretty happy. the scallops were amazing and it was that really beautiful black pudding so a great start for them. what had done me well, I had never eaten longoustine before, but I had to go right in and it was a great experience and the taste was just beautiful. large mmmm in our bauch. the most important courses were turbot for me and the missus chose the sea bass. the food was beautifully presented and it was smaller that I thought it was, but I had never eaten somewhere in that posh before. Anyway, both can have beautiful vegien and we both came into them and we were not dissappointed it was perfectly cooked. the turbot was the softest spruce I've ever had and the taste was amazing. the sea bass came with I think noodles and she loved it. everything was beautiful and relaxed and none of the unem emphasized that you sometimes find when you can be a little bit on yourself in the leading restaurants, but here it was not at all. about all this was a nice place to eat, a wee bit expensive but they get great service and beautiful environment. dylan"
