"came here for a lunch / dinner on the other day unfortunately. place was relatiw busy, I don't really see how, unless it's just full of natives. it was a Sunday so that they had roasted dinner on the menu. I asked for a lasagne instead of a...Roast because it was on the menu. but the waitress was persevering that she had to check with the kitchen that she could cook a lasagne as his Sunday. Why do they give me a menu if they only make roasts? the cook suddenly forget how to cook the menu when it is a sunday? hahaha. honest. wow. I had my bliss. to be fair, it was a beautiful lasagne. can't blame it. credit of the cook (he remembered clearly how to cook a lasagne in the last mint. thanks to life saving. the waitresses were very snotty. I don't know why, but they didn't want to answer any questions or talk to us at all. I didn't really want to smile either. oh and it was the love one of the waitresses used, a good hour behind me and gave us that eye so that we leave our table. yes, if we repel ourselves from a table, is super-love from you. defined does not come back. unless they want to watch fun and be treated badly by servers that have a stick on the back."

we went to the royal oak for dinner during the pandemic. the pub is very spacious with tables distributed in a series of different rooms. there was a good choice on the menu and eating was good. the service was quite friendly.

hearty homemade food. personal very friendly and a good choice of beer. strangely they have removed the straps from the high chairs because of "health and safety" which was not ideal. he kept us from returning, but without a child going back in the tow.

Great pub, great food, great atmosphere, great beer, great staff what's not to like? Popped in one night to suss it out and went back the next for a meal. Had a ménage of fish starters with accompaniments could not be faulted. Special...word of thanks to Emma.

What an absolute gem of a place, stayed in Lostwithiel for 2 nights and went to this pub both nights, staff were welcoming and friendly, sometimes you go into a local pub and get made to feel like a tourist, but not here. Ate on...the second night and the food was excellent. Will make a return visit when next in the area.

We stopped for two nights on our short break to Cornwall. Our room was First Class with a King Size bed, (and TV beautiful decorated, and very comfortable. The Royal Oak is very dog friendly, our terrier was allowed to share our room and join us...in the dinning room, NO extra charge was made for our terrier either. All the food is home cooked, so nice to find as a lot of hotel food comes straight out of the freezer.

I visited here for dinner following a work stay. I brought my mother along so I wasnt staying away alone. This pub/restaurant was a diamond! They were extremely welcoming and friendly and the food was good. Chris was a good laugh and even accommodated my...awkward off-the-menu' requests for an affogato!! We actually visited two nights in a row and I will be coming back on my next stay. Thank you all at the Royal Oak!

here at a group of motorcycle friends during a tour through the southwest ende april. from the minute we arrived and they heard that we were moving into the parking lot, the team came out to meet us and helped prepare a safe...survey area for our bikes. some considerable reorder required as they expected four pushbikes! no problem for this slick and friendly team but and everything was done well for us. from the first minute we came the team could not do enough for us. the location is excellent, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the ambiente and service is excellent, the eating and beer is excellent and the breakfast is to die. our only regret is that we do not book this pub for all 4 nig...

"So let us share our experience, We went in tonight as a family after seeing that it home made food on the drive to sennen and looked online and had a good look at the food available on the menu also looking to see if it was dog friendly and it ticked all the boxes, Upon arrival me and my wife went in 1st to ask if we could have a table for food and if dogs can go inside and staff were a little unsure but they confirmed we could upon asking for a table for 7 but one in a pram he said we don’t have the availability to cater I was looking at a table big enough and eventually said that this table was available whilst being seated we had 2 table one clean and the 2nd just been finished with so needed a clean but he came and cleaned both tables and he squirted the cleaner on a clean table and the over spray bounced off the table and went over our selfs then we were handed a menu freshly printed A4 paper thrown on the table (WET TABLE) so they stuck to the table upon agreeing what we wanted we went to the bar within 2-3 mins of being seated we knew what we wanted and when we asked for the meal it was OUT OF STOCK (Sunday lunch) ok fair so as I was with a family member at the bar I quickly rushed back to the table to ask my daughter of an alternative she wasn’t happy, So I made a meal up of all the extras on the menu so I went back to the bar to find my family member ordered 2 fish and chips then I realised my wife also wanted Sunday lunch so I quickly rushed back to ask her what she wanted and went back to the bar just as my family member left and asked for fish and chips was also sold out also! 99% of the menu was SOLD OUT this should of been discussed upon arrival not as we were ordering I run and operate my own business and this isn’t how I would treat my customers this isn’t how an establishment should be ran! Even when I was standing trying to order a member of staff was standing there arm against the wall doing nothing while customers are standing waiting to be served! So we decided not to eat and my family member went back to the bar to ask for a refund as we couldn’t eat as a family and the staff were iffy about offering a refund but 10 minutes later they did refund my family member as it became a scene for other people as they could see what had happened! This establishment should be call the 1st and late time you come here! We ended up walking to the chip shop down the road for food we are very disappointed in this company and establishment! For anyone who wants to eat please make sure they HAVE STOCK how can this establishment run without stock? Never again tonight they lost over £200 revenue due to this situation!"
