"this restaurant for a last meal under the eating out to help the program. when we arrived, they had no recordings about my online booking. to the luck I had the email confirmation to confirm the booking. ordered starters and netzen simultaneously, shortly after about 7.15 clock the starters arrived quickly and were very pleasant. after the descent we were informed that our main thing would be in a short time. 30 minutes still didn't go network, asked what problems were and said they were out soon. 45 minutes after the start at 1 hour he spoke with the waiter, and he said would be outside. table next to us had come after we had eaten, and they were then appetized and served until our net had been brought out. informed waiter that I had broken due to this order and was told that the net was ready now. I explained that I was not willing to accept this, as we spoke with them three times without satisfaction, so were not willing to accept this level of service. we were charged without apologies. will I have recommended? in no case."

"Absolutely incredible! I was craving Indian cuisine and this restaurant came highly recommended in the area I was staying from google, and my goodness it definitely lived up to its expectations! My lovely server Swapnil recommended me the Patra Chaat for my starter and its the most beautiful array of flavours in your mouth, this is made in house and its their original recipe so you wont find it anywhere else, I recommend you to definitely try it you will be thoroughly impressed. My main dish was the butter chicken absolutely scrumptious the level of spice was just perfect. All in all blown away by the food, the ambiance of the restaurant is so cosy and comforting and my server Swapnil was so attentive, kind and welcoming. "Visiting from Sydney and this restaurant was recommended by friends an inspired choice, just what we needed. The pappadums and incredible dips were just the start onion bhajis, chicken pakora entrees were delicious and the chicken korma, chicken vindaloo and lamb saag were all mouth watering. "we had a lunch from this wonderful new restaurant. our mealtimes had high quality ingredients prepared with skills. the portions were generous and there was a suitable ratio of meat to carbs, which meant that the chef had not tried to approve by placing on the meat. the most interesting thing about our meal was that it was quite fragrant: when we opened the box, the fragrant rosewater-infused biryani filled our dining room (think the maximum strength Turkish joy). in that I still have his taste in my mouth. the only disadvantage is that the parking situation can make it a bit difficult to collect a meal."

"First time visiting the restaurant and have to say.. could not fault the experience,VERY friendly,courteous and attentive staff, but not overly clingy,nice courtyard area which we sat and drunk our drinks before making our way to our table,which was perfectly presented,we were there for an anniversary and our host had even made note of our names and the occasion,as he made reference to it as we were seated,great customer service.On to the meal, could not be faulted,a few poppadoms with various sauces and chutneys to wet our appetites,then onto our starters which comprised of Dahl soup and chicken momo's all of which were lovely,and again, perfectly presented,then onto our mains,mixed noodles with chicken and prawns and gurkha special,which was chicken and lamb pieces with tomatoes,capsicum and coriander, basically a beautiful curry of medium spice,one word. . gorgeous,we personally couldn't find fault with any of the food,and we will be returning to sample some more of the extensive menu. Highly recommended."

"Waiters didn't really explain the menu which is the opposite of other reviews. So I was surprised at this. Also service was very slow. Waiters didn't come to our table apart from giving our food. Two plates were taken away whilst I was still eating. Then my plate was left for a long time before being cleared. No one came back to us to see if we wanted dessert until we actually called someone (no one checked our table so it was impossible to even get someone's attention). At this point we decided not to get anything further and just asked for the bill. Food was OK, although we dosa could have done with more spicing and salt. The special dosa was OK. The chilli lime mogo was nice and the hara bara kebab was nice but could have done with more chutney."

"I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The first time I ordered, the chicken had a bad smell, so I called to complain. They sent a new order, but both had raw chicken in them. When I called again to express my dissatisfaction, the rude employee accused me of trying to scam them. I went back with the delivery driver to show them the issue with the second order, but the employee still refused to refund me. The service was absolutely disgusting. They even called me back to tell me never to order from them again. I will be reporting this restaurant for their poor service and lack of concern for their customers. I had ordered over the phone, and the whole experience was unacceptable."

"We have been here a couple of times before. On this occasion I went there about 2pm on a saturday afternoon for lunch as I was driving through Oxford. It was a good place to go as I was able to park my car at the very nearby Railway station parking which offers parking for a full day for about £4. Dosa Park is cafe style in its decor and ambience. Typically for a place like this, it attracts mostly students and asian tourists who are perhaps missing home cooked food. It was easy to get a table and the service is fairly quick. They have an extensive menu. The Idli sambhar I ordered was good except I found the sambhar too hot (taste wise) which is maybe a personal thing. The other two condiments or chutneys were flavoursome. The Idlis were steaming hot when they arrived but they seemed quite hard. They may have been frozen and reheated in a microwave. Still, they were ok. Reasonably priced. Great selection for vegetarians. May stop by here again if in the area. Enjoy!"

"[edit] I have to go back, the pub itself has a lot of potential under new management! Wouldn't get water, coffee or tea with the driver. Not allowed to drink water without alcohol and said there was no room for them. I've never felt so uncomfortable in a pub, they were so terrible. It is also really expensive, this place is terrible."

This is a favourite local restaurant of mine and my family and I suggested it as a venue for a Christmas get-together to a group of friends some of whom hadn't eaten here before. Excellent authentic Indian food, wonderful service and a real buzz about the place. This is a family run restaurant and they look after their guests beautifully. "I’m not someone who writes reviews or goes to restaurants for writing review But, I have to write this one. I went there with my friends to have a nice biryani with my friends to my surprise there’s zero hospitality. The egg biryani was like a tawa fried rice, with no taste, no salt served cold, chicken biryani had smelly chicken (which my friend ordered) I can write pages about the entire experience but to cut short Mr Mohan was very rude arrogant and was in a fighting mood, kept talking about how he is fed up with other customers and saying that “I’m here only to complain and to get my money back” no one even should ever use these words for a customer. For me it wasn’t about the money or getting something for free, it was about the experience and evening with my friends, which Mr Mohan spoiled with his attitude and words. He wasn’t apologetic about anything. I paid the entire bill and left the food because its the Worst restaurant I ever visited. Do not visit if you don’t want to be infuriated and ill treated by Mr. Mohan. Editing my review after the response from spicy Hyderabad This is my genuine experience at your restaurant and how I was treated for sharing my experience. There was ZERO hospitality, Mr. Mohan’s behaviour is totally unacceptable, I’m not sure if Mr Mohan is responding to the review and saying unfair. If someone’s shares their negative experience at your restaurant doesn’t mean it’s unfair to you, my entire evening was spoiled because of Mr Mohan’s behaviour, he wasn’t willing to listen and rather blaming me and saying demaning things to me like “Im here to complain, to get something for free etc. sarcastically saying what’s your problem etc etc the list goes on”. I left your place with my friends without finishing the food and paying in full even though Mr. Mohan said he has discounted the price of 1 Briyani after saying all the demeaning stuff, but I insisted and paid the money in full, how do you even expect someone with pride and honour to be treated like this. Do you expect me to keep my mouth shut and not talk about my experience??? Please focus on thinking how customers should be treated and customer services can be improved. Thanks"

"The food at this restaurant was delicious, with the perfect amount of spice. The menu was a bit limited, mostly featuring rice and lamb dishes with few other meat options. Each dish we tried was beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful. Despite the pub-like atmosphere, everyone in our group had a great time. We sat in the back to escape the noise from a football match, but were bothered by a flickering light. "My two friends and I visited Nimboo on a Friday night. The restaurant was only half full, so we were seated next to a wall. I placed my soft leather handbag on the floor next to my chair and ordered the fish curry, which unfortunately was disappointing. The dish resembled a thick tomato soup with small bits of fish. When I picked up my bag, I discovered it was wet and the leather had become soft like a sponge, ruining it. There was a leak next to me, so I informed the waitress who seemed unsure of the issue. The waiter brought a folded tablecloth to soak up the water, but did not address my damaged bag. As I walked to the bathroom, I noticed cartons on the floor to absorb the leaking water. I was puzzled as to why we were seated at that table when they were aware of the leak. I have no plans to return to Nimboo after this experience."
