"Gurkha Village is a well-established restaurant located very close to Oxford. The staff is respectful and attentive to customers' needs, and the service time is efficient. The food, while not entirely traditional Nepali (which typically consists of Dhal lentils, Bhat rice, and Takari curried vegetables), is generally very good with generous portions. Most of the dishes were of good quality, although the Nan bread could be improved. I believe the management could consider adding new items to the menu and having daily specials displayed on a blackboard. Overall, Gurkha Village is one of the standout Indian restaurants in the Oxford area and is worth a visit. Thank you."

Has been good in the past, but missed part of my order, then didn't respond when I contacted them about it.

Delicious food from Gurkha Village as always. Always arrives hot and tasty went for the Gurkha lamb and Momos. Portion sizes just right. Arrived earlier than the estate but that's great as I was hungry.

The food was excellent, and the service was great. Good value for money. The menu has something that everyone liked. My son had butter chicken and said it was the best he’d had. I had a Himalayan dish I’d not tried before which was delicious. Would highly recommend

Top Quality Meal in lovely Atmosphere with Excellent Friendly Fast Service. Popped in after day at races Staff couldn’t do enough to cater for us with my son in a wheelchair. Food was to die for Loved the Nepalese Lager. Exquisite taste of spices in our 3 mains. Wished I lived in the area…. Would visit Every Week.

My friends and I have been going to Gurkha Village for many years now. We have never had a disappointing meal there, the staff are always friendly and courteous, and go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant dining experience. The food is delicious, with a wide variety of flavors to choose from, making it suitable for everyone's taste preferences.

We had buffet lunch in Gurkha Village today and also ordered chicken Chow Chow and Chilli Momo . The food is very nice and we really enjoyed. However, when I asked some napkins paper , the waiter has given only three napkins paper as we are four members although. I hope the management would certainly look in to it and will put some positive measures to give their customers utmost satisfaction

"I’m frustrated and annoyed with booking a romantic meal for our year wedding anniversary, with the current pandemic and work commitments it made a change to make an effort and be excited to visit the boxing hare as the reviews had been excellent. We...were seated in the garden room, next to a family who were on first name terms with the waiting staff and who were so loud I thought I was at a Chelsea match! We received complimentary glasses of champagne and we placed our order for starters and main which were excellent however I felt rushed with the service, as much as I tried to have a conversation all I could hear was this family at decibels to which enough was enough usually I would say something, however rather than ruin there evening I asked for us to be reseated to which the waiting staff were in agreement that they were loud! So why place us next to them? We were given a table in a different part of the pub still busy with other diners giving respect to one another. The table given I was advised I had as it was reserved? I placed dessert order and two lattes with baileys followed by the bill! The bill was a tad on the steep side for a gastro pub perhaps the prices are based on the price of fuel to fill the owners Bentley Overall felt it was a rushed evening disappointed with the seating arrangements,I won’t be returning as I felt what was important to us wasn’t important to the Boxing Hare I’ve had better evenings at The Falkland Arms Great Tew, The Great Western Aynho"
