"So sad. I had high expectations having read the reviews but it was one of the worst Indian's I've ever eaten in my life. I'll keep this brief. Food turned up lukewarm, not terrible as I'm happy to pop in the microwave. The mint sauce was a disgusting luminous green, tasted of the smell of cif lemon household cleaner. I've never in nearly 50 years had a mint sauce this artificially coloured, it was luminous bright green. The onion bahjis just tasted of salt no natural flavour or sweetness from onions. There was no fresh herbs, flavours felt like they came from all the same base sauce and not a good one. Naan was wet and flavourless. After trying I threw it all in the bin. Please tell me there's a better indian nearby as this is not what i'm used to."

Just been in to Kathmandu Gurkha in Ripley 6/10/23 to collect a takeaway. Been in here a few times with friends and I now only use the Gurkha for my Friday night takeaway. Best curry in Ripley by far and the onion bhaji's are fabulous. Staff always very friendly and always ready to please. View menu

Food was absolutely fantastic as it always is from here, the only downside was the app showing 40-55 mins delivery time and then changing to 1hr50mins to 2hr10mins, once the order was confirmed, the food finally arrived after 2hr20mins. This is excessive when ordering takeaway food and altho the food was fantastic it would but me off ordering from here again.

The quality of food is truly excellent from this restaurant!! Always fresh and very tasty. Just like having a great chef cook for you at home! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. We’ve ordered from the same place twice now and the food has been excellent both times. There is a wide choice on offer and plenty of menu to explore give it a try you will not be disappointed :

Picked up a takeaway from this place last night. When we walked in we were asked if we'd ordered before and said no. We were shown to a table and given a menu. Order placed and 10-15 minutes later the food was ready. The people working here are so nice and polite. We'll definitely return to have a meal there. Five minute drive back to where we are staying. Food still piping hot. The food was was very nice and very tasty and I'd recommend anyone to try this place. View menu

We have ordered from here several times and normally it's excellent, however the last order wasn't ideal. Collected food from restaurant which gives you a discount however the prices I paid was more than those shown on the menu. I rang them to point this out only to be told it was my mistake and the discount had already been applied? We then opened our order and a portion of rice was missing! So I overpaid and didn't receive all my items. Will be looking for a local alternative next time.

Just been for a family meal and the 1st time I have been. It certainly won't be the last. The restaurant is very clean and has really good facilities but to be fair it's really all about the food and that was just perfect. All the food was cooked fresh and all was tasty , light and had absolutely no grease or oil whatsoever. I was so pleased to see also that you could have duck in the curries which I haven't seen for a long time. Will admit it was one of the best curries I have had and certainly will be back very quickly.
