"This is a good coffee stop in very middle of York. Clean tidy and good staff. There are a few outside tables as well as an upstairs area. The downstairs is usually incredibly crowded. Takeaway is often the best option. Food is the same as every Pret. Goodish quality and often a welcome break. The soup is highly recommended."

"This is undoubtedly the best café in Rugby. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. The menu offers a wide variety, ranging from a hearty full English breakfast to deliciously rich creamy pasta dishes that could keep you satisfied for days. "I visited this restaurant the other day for lunch and wasn't quite sure what to expect. Once we were seated, a friendly young waitress greeted us, handed us the menus, and inquired about our drink preferences. The Bay Tree is beautifully decorated and has a lot of character; it’s not a large place, but it has a cozy feel that made us comfortable. As I mentioned, we were uncertain about what to expect when we placed our orders. A little while later, we were served two beautifully presented meals that were absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the entire experience at the Bay Tree Restaurant, and we will definitely return the next time we find ourselves in the area. Great food and service with a smile!"

"we had to wait about 50 minutes for our food, and the guests at the table did that. we had the oriental kicherbsencurry with tofu and the Asian plant wax with tofu. on both were 5 tofu cubes. when I look at how much beef compared to what is done, I feel a little less than vegan. in the kicherbsencurry was not a spinat to see what I had addressed directly. the service asked the cook responsible for the curry and wok dishes (open kitchen) and came back with the statement that the babyspinate was processed in the sauce. I feel like me. I'm not blind. it wasn't a matching tent green to see in the whole curry. on the image in the internet you see the babyspinate clearly. The curry was rather faded, the sauce from wok had a addictive effect that makes me think of glutamat, otherwise everything fresh from the sweet. the naan brot was delicious. as we had searched for the vegan milk rice with a strawberry sauce, on which we were told that there was generally no more, he was unfortunately still standing on the map ahja (also in the internet), then I come back to mine. the homemade criminal tee was much too sweet for both of us. the service was friendly and helpful. probably we had just badly tonight, unfortunately the holiday is around now and the days were always very fast booked out. reservation is recommended in high season."

"We initially had a reservation for afternoon tea but decided to switch to the regular menu instead. The staff appeared to have no issue with this change. However, during this visit, we encountered a significant problem; we were told it would be classified as a no-show and that we would be charged for it. Earlier in the week, I had also called to reserve a table for afternoon tea at 1:30 PM, but I was told to arrive at 12 PM because the 1:30 slot was unavailable. We ended up staying until 2:40 PM, so it was clear there was no need for us to change our reservation. Additionally, our table was not properly cleaned, and we ended up ordering food via the app after our afternoon tea because we did not receive any service during our visit."

"Visited this place twice now. The first time I tried to order dish number and they didn't have it available.. tried ordering a second meal.. didn't have it. Ended up ordering chicken pesto sandwich.. was decent, super greasy though. They Also had a hole in the floor in the toilet which was covered over by lino.. second visit months later.(today) ordered a sandwich with scrambled egg,Bacon,ham, sausage and cheeses.. when the food arrived it basically looked like a McDonald's style egg with either bacon or ham in(not convinced it had both in) either way it didn't have sausage inside. And looked to me like a very thin layer of one type of cheese. I showed it to the lady behind the counter, she apologized and said that there was no sausage left and the chef didn't tell her.. got my money back but wasted half am hour in this place.. the hole in the toilet Floor upon inspection is about two foot by foot covered up by lino.. this has gotten more unstable from months ago. Basically damp plywood and I don't think it's from water. It was disgusting serious health and safety concerns here they should be inspected..."

"We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the chef had prepared a separate vegan menu for me! However, we were seated by the door, which was quite chilly—something that couldn’t really be avoided, as it appears we were supposed to have a different table. The service was decent, but it was a bit slow. Unfortunately, the two pizzas we ordered were forgotten, and I only inquired about them about five minutes after our other food had arrived. They were finally prepared, but there was no apology for the oversight. Despite this, the kitchen has a lovely atmosphere, and we will certainly return to give it another try!"

"Brunch is such an impressive time of days in eating life these days and that makes it hard to decide what to have. Fear not, as you can order a platter at Le Pain Quotidien that gives you everything. It’s only mildly disappointing that it is a chain affair. There’s 219 other Le Pain Quotidien about and chains never make for the most fun or inventive options. The food is good at least. My choice was The Farmer brunch £16.95). That comes with a boiled egg, ham, gruyere, granola parfait, a drink, a juice, a pastry and a choice of bread. Phew. The price point is on the high side not including service as well but it could go towards a pair of mouths. The pain au chocolat and sourdough are particular highlights of the board and I would have to commend the proper Belgian hot chocolate not pictured). There was also three of the spreads Speculoos, Blondie and Noisella) that are fun to sample as well."

"an excellent original place with good customer service. we ordered a mixtablette for two starters, sirloin steak and rib eye steak with mojito drinks. the appetizers consisted of 3x crispy roasted garnels, 2x large chicken wings, which are covered in a juicy aroma grill sauce with a bark rib. the bark rib was large, tender and melted in the mouth. all appetizers were excellent. mains, sirloin was ordered medium and the rib eye medium rare. both steaks were perfectly cooked on a chat grill and on our request. our mojito’s were both tasteful and fancyful with dry ice. the only recommendation I would give is to offer seasonal steamed veg as a guide or as a side. otherwise a quality restaurant that we will definitely visit again."

"There is something special about this little cafe. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming (even when they are busy). The food is delicious and great quality and the coffee is excellent. (Best cappuccino in the west end). The decor is cute and eclectic and there’s always a buzz with parents, dog walkers and locals. I make a point of popping in every time I pass. Never been disappointed yet."
