"overall a good experience. we were happy with everything, but we had to wait for 30 minutes. it was very busy, but a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. the food was good and we didn't have to wait long as we had our order. some problems with the bill at the end of the experience. we were not aware that the prices of 11 o'clock change as they were not notified to us. but the manager gave us 20% for the inconvenience."

"a couple days ago, the barista (a man in his late thirties/early forties) asked each of us in the queue our coffee orders quite abruptly. I told him what I wanted and he carried on making coffees and then take the payments when the coffee was ready to serve. It was really getting late and apologiaing, I asked him if he was actually making my coffee. He said obviously not, I will make it soon in quite an impolite way. I apologised again and told him that I had to leave and if he could cancel my order which of course hadn't even been paid for yet. I didn't get an answer, he looked at me like he couldn't care less, shrugged his shoulder and turned the other way like I was not worth his time anyway. Appalling service from that particular member of the staff"

"Visited Carlo’s many times, recently it has gone downhill. Service extremely slow on a lunch break waited for 35 minutes for four dishes and restaurant was not even busy! Drinks served warm in a warm glass. I had the seafood risotto the risotto was hard and the sauce was watery and the prawns were translucent. Other people in my party also had inedible meals. The prices seem to have drastically increased £17 for lunch is very over priced for the area especially with the low standards provided."

"Argh all our food came out within 20 minutes. Thats nibbles, starter and main meal. I couldnt digest it fast enough, so didnt eat all my main. Very dissapointed. Complained to manager who said that he has requested the kitchen to slow down. A bit late for us though! I had the potted squiral for starter and that was lovely. Then hanker steak for main but although i couldnt finish it, it was lovely. Couldnt fault the food, it was really tasty and cooked to perfection. But really could have done with more time between the meals. Im really dissapointed by the service and it ruin our night, as we had hoped that we could spend more time at the chop house, but were finished within 25minutes of arriving. And £70 down. Its quite expensive to dine there so was a treat for me and my hubby."

"Our server wasnt exactly welcoming my friend asked her what the draught beers where for her to rudely flip the menu infront of him and say draught is here and stand in awkward silence until one was chosen. The food was great however I think the waitress needs more training in costomer service as it felt like we were interfering with her day. Also no Mocktails seemed to be available and when asked the reply was I'll see if the bar man has time the Mocktail that arrives was nothing more than cranberry juice with some lime in it to make it pink. Would not return."

"After been given great reviews on the Corner Vafe Falkirk, I decided to pay it a visit today Wed Oct..18th late afternoon , I went to place my order at the counter and I was asked if I was sitting ing in or taking away. I said that I was having brunch knew That I was having avacado toast and poached eggs, the first girl took my order I also had a glass of water, I had to ask the chap front of house if my brunch was ready this was after a 20 min wait more time passed maybe approached me to inform me that the situatioregaurding my brunch. When eventualy my meal came, which I paid by card , I told the two members of waiting staff that the brunch was fresh and tasty, but the service was far to slow ...."

"This is a good coffee stop in very middle of York. Clean tidy and good staff. There are a few outside tables as well as an upstairs area. The downstairs is usually incredibly crowded. Takeaway is often the best option. Food is the same as every Pret. Goodish quality and often a welcome break. The soup is highly recommended."

Once we were seated, a friendly young waitress greeted us, handed us the menus, and inquired about our drink preferences. The Bay Tree is beautifully decorated and has a lot of character; it’s not a large place, but it has a cozy feel that made us comfortable. As I mentioned, we were uncertain about what to expect when we placed our orders. A little while later, we were served two beautifully presented meals that were absolutely delicious. "We initially had a reservation for afternoon tea but decided to switch to the regular menu instead. The staff appeared to have no issue with this change. However, during this visit, we encountered a significant problem; we were told it would be classified as a no-show and that we would be charged for it. Earlier in the week, I had also called to reserve a table for afternoon tea at 1:30 PM, but I was told to arrive at 12 PM because the 1:30 slot was unavailable. We ended up staying until 2:40 PM, so it was clear there was no need for us to change our reservation. Additionally, our table was not properly cleaned, and we ended up ordering food via the app after our afternoon tea because we did not receive any service during our visit."

"we had to wait about 50 minutes for our food, and the guests at the table did that. we had the oriental kicherbsencurry with tofu and the Asian plant wax with tofu. on both were 5 tofu cubes. when I look at how much beef compared to what is done, I feel a little less than vegan. in the kicherbsencurry was not a spinat to see what I had addressed directly. the service asked the cook responsible for the curry and wok dishes (open kitchen) and came back with the statement that the babyspinate was processed in the sauce. I feel like me. I'm not blind. it wasn't a matching tent green to see in the whole curry. on the image in the internet you see the babyspinate clearly. The curry was rather faded, the sauce from wok had a addictive effect that makes me think of glutamat, otherwise everything fresh from the sweet. the naan brot was delicious. as we had searched for the vegan milk rice with a strawberry sauce, on which we were told that there was generally no more, he was unfortunately still standing on the map ahja (also in the internet), then I come back to mine. the homemade criminal tee was much too sweet for both of us. the service was friendly and helpful. probably we had just badly tonight, unfortunately the holiday is around now and the days were always very fast booked out. reservation is recommended in high season."

"Visited this place twice now. The first time I tried to order dish number and they didn't have it available.. tried ordering a second meal.. didn't have it. Ended up ordering chicken pesto sandwich.. was decent, super greasy though. They Also had a hole in the floor in the toilet which was covered over by lino.. second visit months later.(today) ordered a sandwich with scrambled egg,Bacon,ham, sausage and cheeses.. when the food arrived it basically looked like a McDonald's style egg with either bacon or ham in(not convinced it had both in) either way it didn't have sausage inside. And looked to me like a very thin layer of one type of cheese. I showed it to the lady behind the counter, she apologized and said that there was no sausage left and the chef didn't tell her.. got my money back but wasted half am hour in this place.. the hole in the toilet Floor upon inspection is about two foot by foot covered up by lino.. this has gotten more unstable from months ago. Basically damp plywood and I don't think it's from water. It was disgusting serious health and safety concerns here they should be inspected..."
