"This is my favourite restaurant by far. The Sunday lunch is outstanding. The presentation of the food is always precise and I love the fact every time we go they slightly change something down to different bread with the pate. The soups are amazing. The roast beef is cooked to perfection. I love the sweets but now that’s been the same for a while. So please tantalise is with new creations Mr Waters. "This pub is a hidden gem with a great selection of Dutch specialties. Malcom and Giorgia were delightful hosts. The exterior appears ordinary, but upstairs, there is a cozy seating area with a variety of genever to choose from. The bar man was friendly and engaging, making it feel like a best friend pub for the locals. Downstairs, there is a screen for watching football games, making it a great spot for events like the Euros or World Cup. For those looking for a more intimate setting, there is a concave area that feels like a different pub altogether. The pub also offers a wide selection of unique Dutch beers. The service was impeccable, with Giorgia going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. The outdoor seating area is perfect for relaxing with a drink, and you may even run into some Chelsea fans after a game. The pub is spacious inside, with ample room between tables for those still practicing social distancing. Thank you, Giorgia, for a wonderful experience at this pub."

"When we arrived, our reservation was unrecognized, despite having confirmation from OpenTable. We waited an hour for a table, and others who arrived after us were seated first. Once we were finally taken to our table, we were served tea and coffee, but no food. The drinks were cold by the time our meal arrived about 15-20 minutes later. The scones were hard as rocks—one woman at a nearby table even joked that she could use hers to signal SOS. We had to ask for cutlery for the Eton mess and the gateau, which was quite frustrating. To top it all off, no one offered an apology for the poor service. Overall, it was an experience I wouldn't want to repeat!"

"we ate with 3 grandchildren on Saturday night. we have not expected that in an adjacent room we have a boxing session in full, and the resulting noise and general disturbances. no table service, and the bar service was average, with a worker more interest in looking for their phone. a family group allowed their children to rush around the dining room, which was unacceptable. "Food took forty, maybe even fifty, minutes to come to the table. Pizza was raw. Burger was from Asda and had one bit of lettuce as the ‘salad’. Didn’t get my second drink. No table numbers, so the waiters didn’t know where they were going the table next to us got three meals which weren’t even for them. No salt, pepper, ketchup or anything like that. Floor was sticky (glad I wasn’t wearing my new shoes. Took about five minutes to get the bill. Didn’t get a thanks or receipt."

"Myself and eleven other relatives recently went to this restaurant to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday and we had a fabulous time. We ordered from the Ruby menu and I was very impressed by how promptly we were all served. The food was excellent, with...my only issue being that the soup I had for the starter was very salty and I couldn’t finish it all. Other than that, it was a brilliant meal. When it came to dessert, my seven-year-old cousin (who was visiting from England was upset, as there was nothing that she liked. A very nice server called Martha was kind enough to give her some chocolate and biscuits, so she didn’t feel left out, which cheered her up considerably! Martha also helped us with taking photographs and keeping my cousin entertained with colouring pages. At the end of the evening, my cousin was so grateful that she insisted on giving Martha a tip from her own pocket money to say thank you. It was the perfect end to an already lovely evening. Would definitely dine here again."

"The service at this restaurant was extremely slow. We waited a long time to place our order, and then had to wait even longer to receive our dishes. The staff on duty seemed to be overwhelmed and the restaurant was understaffed for the weekend rush. While the starters were decent, the main meals took too long to arrive, testing our patience. One of the main dishes was overcooked and the other was lacking in ingredients. When we raised our concerns, the chef did come to our table to listen to our feedback. However, with only 2 chefs in the kitchen, it was understandable why there were delays and mistakes. Despite the potential of this restaurant, I would suggest looking for other dining options until they address their staffing issues."

"We enjoyed an excellent lunch today with the roast beef and lamb main courses being outstandingly good, both served with al dente vegetables. The sirloin was beautifully cooked, both medium rare and well done to our requests and the pressed lamb was delicious. Sticky toffee pudding and coffees rounded off a lovely lunch. It is worth noting that our seven year old granddaughter chose the roast beef and the sticky toffee and I noted that the restaurant made a very reasonable one off charge for both courses. Restaurants that do that need to be celebrated for excellent customer service. The quality of service and friendliness of the staff today is to be commended and we will certainly return soon."

"Friend of mine staying here right now and is scared! She just had 3 men knock on her door there’s no peep hole to check who it is, no door stopper to close the door so it won’t fully open. She was terrified as they tried to speak to her and luckily her instinct to shut the door kicked in otherwise who knows where that could have went. No one has picked up at reception/front desk and she is terrified and will be up all night making sure nothing happens to her ready to dial the police if someone knocks again. This is totally unacceptable, they need security or other security measures in place to avoid this."

"I had booked a table for 3 people for 9pm. In a footnote I did inform the Resturant that we could be delayed due to the face we were attending the Service of remembrance at the RAH. We were running late by 40 minutes, but as the booking site claimed you could make a reservation up until 23.30hrs we thought we would be okay. Sadly note We arrived to be greeted by a very abrupt waitress saying that we were late, and claimed to have tried to call us twice on my mobile number.A lie as there was no record of any phonically to my number. We were told that the kitchen closes at 22.00hrs. Pointing out it was 21.45 we still had time. She would check with the chef! As she did so a table of 10 people arrived, who were all residents of the hotel that the restaurant is connected to and had also just arrived back from the RAH. With reluctance and poor attitude we were informed the chef would take our order if we were quick. We placed our two course order thinking we could now enjoy our meal. Our starter arrived and before we had finished our main order was placed on the table. I informed the waitress that as she could see we hadn 't finished so could she please remove the main course back to the kitchen. Sorry No the kitchen is closed, but the table of 10 were still sat down waiting to receive their meal! So how could the kitchen be closed? We were made to feel a total inconvenience. I checked with the website which stated that at any day I could make a booking up to 23.30hrs. Enough was enough. I went to the manager at the hotel reception. Although very sorry there was nothing she could actually do. Pointing out that the Resturant closes at 22.00hrs. I showed her the booking site ! to prove she was wrong. I asked for the bill as I had had enough of the appalling service. When I was presented with the bill they were trying to charge my 9% service charge!!!!!!!!!!! I returned the bill to the waitress asking if she was kidding as her service was appalling. I explained I wanted the bill corrected without the service charge by this time she had the look as though she was chewing a mouthful of lemons. I eat regularly in the city but have never ever received such poor service. The only reason I chose this restaurant was because it was close to the RAH and close to the hotel my friends were staying at. I would like to point out the food was acceptable. The other table of 10 were served their meal at 22.15hrs !"

"I planned to celebrate my 65th Birthday at this restaurant that I have visited a few times before. However, when I arrived, I was informed that the restaurant I had booked was under renovation and I was directed to a different one with a limited menu that did not appeal to me. Despite the waitress' apologetic offer of a complimentary drink, I was disappointed and opted to leave. I had to find another dining option in the town center, which dampened my birthday celebration. I had been looking forward to dining at the restaurant that overlooks Ibrox Stadium and had even shared my excitement on social media. It was embarrassing to admit that I left without a meal. I live 25 miles away from Ibrox and had made a substantial effort to get there, but did not receive an apology from the restaurant. Mary."
